ztdummy inaccuracy on linux-2.6
Hello, I have some ugly numbers given by zttest for ztdummy on an AMD64 box running linux-2.6.15 compiled for Athlon64. linux-2.6.15, zaptel/branches/1.2 r900, jiffies ./zttest Opened pseudo zap interface, measuring accuracy... 99.975586% 99.975586% 99.975586% 99.975586% 99.975586% 99.975586% 99.975586% 99.975586% 99.975586% 99.975586% 99.975586% 99.975586% 99.975586% 99.975586% 99.975586%

Cutted audio or 2/3s blanks on EuroISDN - Asterisk1.4
Your Zap conf files would be helpful. Zttest results? Cat /proc/interrupts. Sharing interrupts? Any funky error in the logs? ztdummy/rtc
Hello, Maybe I'm missing something here. What is the proper way to use RTC with ztdummy now? I'm using -HEAD from a day or two ago on Linux 2.6.11.11. In zaptel/Makefile, I changed CFLAGS to: CFLAGS+=-I. -O4 -g -Wall -DBUILDING_TONEZONE -DUSE_RTC #-DTONEZONE_DRIVER and I get.. make -C /lib/modules/2.6.11.11/build SUBDIRS=/usr/src/zaptel modules make[1]: Entering directory

ztdummy, zttest
Hello, Today we setted up a server that needs to use MeetMe but doesn't have any Zap hardware. So we need to use ztdummy (at least, this was our idea). Rarely: zttest is not working at all (100% bad, using zttest -v doesn't give anything, etc.). Of course, after load ztdummy, there isn't any background or anything. It is the same kernel (Debian Etch default kernel, 2.6.18) than

ways to get more accuracy from ztdummy
Greetings! I have a FreeBSD 5.3 running on Intel SR1300 (dual xeon 2.6, scsi) server, with ztdummy.ko driver as timing source for asterisk. The typical output from zttest is: $ zttest Opened pseudo zap interface, measuring accuracy... [..skip..] --- Results after 192 passes --- Best: 99.987793 -- Worst: 98.266602 But when i listening MOH, it's quality is not very good. It is slightly

Zaptel ztdummy module causes playback to fail
I'm using asterisk 1.4.11 and Zaptel version 1.4.5.1 with kernel 2.6.22. I have the ztdummy module loaded, which is using zaptel and rtc. When the ztdummy module is loaded, sounds are not heard when using the asterisk "background" command. When the ztdummy module is unloaded, which also removes zaptel and rtc, sounds are heard. I've also tested this under kernel 2.6.21 with the

ztdummy: rtc: lost some interrupts at 1024Hz.
Hi, I'm getting crazy about ztdummy. I have to replicate a PBX where ztdummy is working fine but for some reason I cannot. The two machines have the same kernel, motherboard, the same gcc version and the same zaptel 1.4.8. On the second machine zaptel compiles without errors and ztdummy.ko is generated but when I modprobe it I get the following error in messages: rtc: lost some interrupts

ztdummy / RTC error
It's taken me about a day just to get ztdummy to compile into a module that the amazon ec2 xen kernel will accept (you have to downgrade the version of gcc among other things), but now I'm getting the following error and I'm stumped: rtc: IRQ 8 is not free. WARNING: Error inserting rtc (/lib/modules/2.6.16.19-xen/kernel/drivers/char/rtc.ko): Input/output error ztdummy: Unknown

ztdummy - how to test?
I've modified ztdummy to work under 2.6 (basically ditched all the uhci stuff and added a kernel timer instead). How do I test my changes are doing anything useful? zttest gives: --- Results after 14 passes --- Best: 99.975586 -- Worst: 99.975586 Is that good/bad/terrible...? Tony -- Te audire no possum. ztdummy compile again
Hi, I'm still strugling with getting an easy to use conference system implemented. I did have app_conference running, but today I upgraded asterisk to 1.0.9 and it stopped working. I've tried following the instructions for compiling app_conference on 1.0.7 but it didn't work. So I went back to ztdummy (I've not had any luck getting this to compile on FC2). Anyhoo, I've

ztdummy
What does it take to get ztdummy to work correctly? I have a new laptop HP HDX9200. I am running asterisk 1.4.19 and zaptel 1.4.9.2 Zaptel compiles fine. asterisk compiles fine. ztdummy loads asterisk runs. Problem is playback() does not work. So then I stop zaptel, asterisk runs and playback() now works. However, meetme()'s dont work. I need ztdummy I'm pretty sure for that. I am

Fax and Asterisk
Hi I am trying to build reliable fax solution with asterisk, iaxmodem and hylafax. I am attempting to do this on Compaq DL-360 with 2 pentium 3 1.2GHz (512 cache) and 2GB of RAM. I am using a Sangoma A101. After installing the newest zaptel and wanpipe-3.1.0 beta I did zttest and it didn't give me good results: 99.975586% 99.975586% 99.975586% 99.975586% 99.975586% 99.975586% 99.975586%

zaptel huge irq problem
Hello, I had noticed strange crackling sound on my phone calls going through my zaptel device (TDM400P), so i decided to check on possible timer issue, and found lots of issues on forums concerning the sensibility of zaptel with IRQs, and tried about everything: moving PCI slots, noapic and acpi=off boot options, play with different kernel options: iosched/preemption/timer/..., play with

Something every TDMP user should know

Might want to give PCI latency setting a try, it helped for me. My ZTTEST would drop occasionally to 99.95% until I set: setpci -v -s 01:01.0 latency_timer=ff
