VoIP Provider problems
Hello all, We recently configure an asterisk server to use with an VoIP provider to make calls to a PSTN. We use (voipjet, nufone, diamond....) We feel that we haven't got the quality that we hope. Sometimes our calls gets mute, or we feel communication cuts on our phone calls. We have got an QOS router (Draytek) reserving 1/2 of our wideband to the SIP an IAX2 protocols, and an ADSL line

Looking for wisdom - One Asterisk system - Multi-incoming trunks
I'm pretty new to this whole Asterisk system & VoIP thing, but being a programmer by trade the complexity didn't scare me off (at least not yet)... I have setup an Asterisk system for my home & home office. My wife & I run two separate businesses from home, and we have a general family home phone line as well. The cost of all these lines with analog carriers was getting

Broadvoice delivers CID even when restricted?
I can call my Broadvoice DID from a outbound caller-id blocked phone, and BV happily delivers the CID to Asterisk (and then on to my IP phone display.) I've tested with the *67 prefix from a PSTN phone to make sure it was supposed to be blocked. The number is always correct, but sometimes the the caller ID name is set to something funky (like a CO or switch center name.) I *think* this

ITSPs with good phone support
With the recent service outage at Broadvoice, there has been a lot of discussion here, on broadband reports, Voxilla, etc., regarding whether VOIP is mature, or "ready for the masses", etc. One particular point I've seen repeated, and with which I agree: "we're willing to deal with less than five 9s, even one or 2 9s, as long as we have good communication regarding the

Long delay via Teliax
I'm testing Teliax tall free number line and I'm experiencing long delay about 1sec. during conversation. When I call myself over FWD the response is normal no delay or cut messages. When I call my number over FWD the is a long delay, welcome message usually cuts off few first words and during conversation my voice arrives after about 1sec. delay. Since, the 800-number is only accessible

Reliable SIP Trunk Provider
I'm wondering if any other Asterisk users have a recommendation for a reliable SIP Trunk provider that supports Asterisk and offers decent support. I've worked with Coredial, Broadvox, and Broadvoice and have had some bad experiences with each of these providers. Broadvoice offers low cost service, however I have constant issues with Broadvoice blocking my customers due to Asterisk

831 Santa Cruz/Watsoncille, Calif. DIDs
Hey there, I don't know who else has suffered broadvoices terrible service, but I am about to my end with them. The lack of a LBR codec, the outages, the changing of servers without notifying subscribers haspushed me to my end. Now most incoming calls are abbruptly cut off within a minute of the call starting. Anyone know of any other * friendly providers that have DID, besides Voicepulse,

VoicePulse Connect
Asterisk Users, Has anybody use Voicepulse Connect for Asterisk? I am trying to cover all my bases because in the past, I got burned with poor quality of service, along with failed DTMF tones with 3 different SIP Providers (Vitelity, Broadvoice, and Teliax). I am running Asterisk 1.2.13 on the Debian Etch system, using the SIP protocol. Any insights would be great. Thanks. -John

Enterprise quality SIP provider
I need to setup incoming (over an 800 number and some local DID's) and outgoing phone calls (all over the country) with an Asterisk server. This asterisk server has 20 Polycom 430 phones connecting to it. I need the best possible SIP provider out there. I have tried http://www.nufone.net and http://www.broadvoice.com and they do not even come close to the expected quality. Does AT&T

Broadvoice problems
Is anyone else having problems with them? Until today everything was working fine. But now dtmf is not working on incoming calls. Any ideas? I tried calling them and their voicemail is not accepting answers. Is there another source for DIDs in the 314 or 636 area codes? Especially a company that supports something besides ulaw. I am going to hate switching numbers again, my wife is

Dialplan mapping for multiple outbound providers to determine best rates
Hello All, Right now I have several providers. Voipjet, Teliax, and more recently Broadvoice. Broadvoice gives me unlimited to europe, but what I want to do is determine the best way to setup a dialplan so for example, certain countries will go through the cheapest route. I am really only interested in Poland, Russia and Turkey. Poland is free on broadvoice, but not for cellular, which I may

Suggestions for reliable DID provider for Canada, USA and Europe
I posted the same question on asterisk-biz mailing list but didn't have much response. So I am posting it here now. I need a good, reliable and stable DID provider for USA, Canada and Europe. I prefer to have fixed monthly rates for incoming and outgoing calls and not per minute charges. Features I need to get with DIDs are: 1. my own caller ID and caller name on outbound calls 2. multiple

iax.cc opinion request
I am considering using iax.cc (sixtel) and wondering if anyone had opinions, good or bad. Are there outages with any regularity? How responsive are tech support? How is packet loss? I am particularly interested in termination to the UK, but will accept any comments people have. Suggestions for reliable DID provider forCanada, USA and Europe
I've had some serious issues with Teliax as of late with their "new" Denver server. DTMF issues, IAX2 connection issues, and major latency issues. They are blaming it on "1.2 vs 1.4 asterisk compatibility issues". I have had zero problems with their old servers. Voicepulse has been WAY better, but no flat charges, no 729. Frankly, even my broadvoice (yikes!)

Multiple X100Ps -- order?
After over a month (well, ok, no more than an hour a day :) of planning, getting hardware, tinkering and testing, I'm about to my Ultimate Home Phone System (tm) online. Connectivity to the outside world is provided by: A. 1 POTS phone line connected through an X100P ($11/month, needed to carry DSL) B. 1 Vonage ATA186 connected through an X100P (needed for the rate center :( ) C. 3 Broadvoice

Has anybody ever integrated Skype with Asterisk? If you have, which software would you recommend to accomplish such a task? ChanSkype? And how reliable are the calls? Did the DTMF tones work? Thanks in advance. _________________________________________________________________ Discover sweet stuff waiting for you at the Messenger Cafe.? Claim your treat today!
