Hi Everyone, I'm planning my first asterisk box, and I'd like to know what SIP providers everyone likes. Voipjet? Gizmo? Somebody else? Thanks, Alex

Somebody else?Which country are you in? Asterisk is being used all over the planet, and there are SIP providers in nearly every country that has a broadband infrastructure, so it would be handy to know where you are.... (Although technically it might not matter too much - eg. sipgate.co.uk is physically located in Germany, but hey...) Gordon

Voipjet and Teliax seem to work for me. I used to recommend MPC (myphonecompany.com) but lately they have been having lots of dropped calls. They just told me that they got a new switch to handle more capacity. Will see how they work. But for now stick with what works. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Alex Roston" <clover at pacbell.net> To: "Asterisk Users Mailing List - Non-Commercial Discussion" <asterisk-users at lists.digium.com> Sent: Saturday, July 07, 2007 7:11 PM Subject: [asterisk-users] Sip Providers> Hi Everyone, > > I'm planning my first asterisk box, and I'd like to know what SIP > providers everyone likes. Teliax has been great, VoipJet seems to be working vry hard to give outstanding reliability and fault notifications so I would recommend them as a backup. I like to have two account and failover for termination. -- Chris Mason Anguilla: (264) 497-5670 Fax: (264) 497-8463 Cell: 264-235-5670 International: (305) 704-7249 Fax: (815)301-9759 Yahoo IM only: netconcepts_anguilla at yahoo.com -- This message has been scanned for viruses and dangerous content by MailScanner, and is believed to be clean.

Asterisk Users, I have Asterisk PBX System running at my work. The system is working great. Currently, I have Broadvoice as my sip provider and I am not completely satisfy with their service. Broadvoice only allows 2 simultaneous calls, which hinders my company's communications ability. I am looking for a sip provider that would work with Asterisk and allow at least 6 simultaneous calls, locally and internationally. Of course the voice quality, pricing, number portability are the main determining factors. I will have a T1 connection at the office, so bandwidth would not be an issue. Any thoughts on this matter would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Best Regards, John _________________________________________________________________ Need a brain boost? Hi John, Try ... carriers.icall.com -> No minimum, unlimited concurrent calls, great price, some areas US 0,009. Only USA voipjet.com teliax.com -> Not so cheap, and they do one-minute rounding ... not good at all. But they hold a very good quality Hope it helps -------------- Original message -------------- From: "John Meksavan" <jmeksavan at hotmail.com>> Asterisk Users, > > I have Asterisk PBX System running at my work. Hi Anthony, I used their services for 3 months (signed up on the pay-as-you-go plan - Unlimited channels) and all my minutes were rounded up to the next cent in my CDR ... You only pay for the first full minute, then fractionally there after. I've been using them for over 2 years with only a few issues that were quickly resolved. I also vouch for Teliax as I send overflow LD through their trunks. I know the people there and they are great guys. _______________________________________________ --Bandwidth and Colocation Provided by http://www.api-digital.com-- asterisk-users mailing list To UNSUBSCRIBE or update options visit: http://lists.digium.com/mailman/listinfo/asterisk-users ---------------------------------------------------- Inbound (clean).
