Chan_Capi Down
Hi all,
* was running ... I have a WT405P and an AVM C4 with chan_capi 0.3.4a
Today chan_capi stopped working, without any changings at the system.
It seems, that not * is the reason, because isdn-log also shows no calls.
If I try to call * from outside via capi, I only get a busy.
That is the try from inside to outside:

Thanks for your info but I think I have it working at last. Below are
the steps I took which might help others.
1) Download the PCI AVM drivers from ftp://ftp.avm.de/cardware
2) Download the Chan_capi from http://www.junghanns.net/asterisk/
3) tar -xvzf fcpci-suse8.0-03.09.10.tar.gz which

chan_capi configuration with AVM C2 card
Hi;
I've been asked to take a (remote) look at an Asterisk@home system
running asterisk 1.0.9 on Centos 3.5. It's running chan_capi-0.3.5
It has an AVM c2 ISDN card which is plugged into what I believe to be a
couple of BT ISDN2e "System Access" (i.e. point to point) connections.
We've placed a support call to BT to find out how these lines are
actually provisioned, but

AVM Fritz doesn't pick up call or make calls
Hi,
I have an AVM Fritz! ISDN card connected to an NT1 unit (Australian).
I have no problems getting the drivers up and running but when using it with
asterisk nothing happens.
I call in using a mobile or analogue phone on either of the numbers and the
NT1 activity light either flashes or goes solid while ringing but it pauses
for a while and on a mobile i get call not answered and a busy

guess), it worked!!! (I know, never change a running system ...

capi debugging
Hi,
Regarding capi debug, I don't know how to translate reasons like 0x3302 or infos like 0. I didn't find any 'translator' googleing capi debugging. Do you know about any 'translator' for this or should I be as clever as to know what a reason 0x3302 is?
What is this debug for if I can't interpret it?
Kind regards,
Victor.

but when I answer the call asterisk crashes.

Call dropped 100% of time when incoming IAX routed to outgoing CAPI
Good day,
The unusual thing about this problem is that it doesn't occur just during a
CAPI call, or just during an IAX/SIP call. Only during IAX/CAPI
I'm having some trouble with the CAPI interface and it only occurs when a call
comes in on an IAX channel and goes out the CAPI interface.
The capi debug in the asterisk console is below as well as the relevent parts
of .conf files from

fax machine detection for outgoing call on DIVA card
Hello,
I need to detect both fax and answer machine, and it should be valuable that
the detection will be run by the Diva card itself. So :
- I read Diva Documentation, and I found that the Diva could send some
specific DTMF, if I had "[..] enabled [this functionnality] by the
application for a designated controller through a manufacturer request
command 9 [...]", but I didn't

Hello Armin, hello List
I'm trying to get chan_capi working with asterisk from debian stable
(asterisk 1.0.7, the debian version number is 1:1.0.7.dfsg.1-2).
I managed to get it compiled by providing my own version of
ast_copy_string.
This is an Austrian PTP line. I can do outgoing calls fine (no
comprehensive tests yet). For incoming calls, I'm getting "No answer"

Asterisk 1.6.2.5 crash with chan_capi upon calling to PSTN
Hi,
I am having a problem with (Asterisk is crashing) with a Fritz card PCI
/ chan_capi.
Receiving Calls from PSTN works, but outbound calls make asterisk crash
(Speicherzugriffsfehler/Segmentation fault). The crash occurs upon
dialing with the other phone not even ringing.
I hereby ask if somebody reading this list can confirm or disprove my
issue. Does anbody run a recent asterisk 2.6 with

Busy message on ISDN cards?
Hi all,
I'm new to asterisk and not too knowledgeable on ISDN, so please be gentle :)
I have a dual-channel Eicon Diehl Diva card in a Debian Woody box with
kernel 2.4.27, connecting to a Telstra (Australia) Onramp Home Highway
ISDN line. I'm pretty certain the card and line both work since
they've been used in this machine for PPP before this (but with an
older kernel with DoV
