Dial Plan Sequencing
I have an interesting dilemma with sequencing in the dialplan. Up to
now, I have assumed that the extensions in the dial plan were tested in
the order that they appear in extensions.conf. In other words, I have
the following fragment which was designed to dial toll free on the PSTN
and all other long distance on VoIP:

EVERY toll free number appears to be in e164.org??
ENUM lookups at e164.org return a IP route for ALL toll-free numbers.
I was surprised to observe that ALL toll-free numbers get a hit at e164.org.
It appears that ALL toll-free prefixes have been delegated, thereby
publishing an IP route for YOUR TOLL-FREE NUMBERS, my toll-free numbers, and
even toll-free numbers that have not been allocated. :-) See below
Should I care? Even though this

IAXTEL Inbound, and Outbound Tollfree Changes
Last night Mark and I made some changes to the IAXTEL tollfree outbound,
and inbound access.
The inbound access number has changed to: 248-724-0700.
(This number is in Pontiac, MI Ratecenter, and is supplied by
Telesthetic LLC, a next gen phone compnay)
This number will say "Please dial your number now" at that point
you can dial your 1-700-XXX-XXXX IAXTEL number assigned.

e164.org and tollfree ENUM records
Recently, I've been having issues with the URIs returned from e.164.org and
toll free calls. It seems that the URIs that are returned from ENUMQUERY and
ENUMRESULT are no longer the proper numbering schemes that the poviders use.
I've been using the following [enum] template in my outbound route for quite
some time with great success until recently.

Broadvoice Toll-Free IVR issues
Perhaps someone else has had this issue. I currently have BroadVoice as my
SIP provider with two phone numbers. The first number is my primary local
number; the second is an 877 toll-free number.
The issue is with the IVR abilities. When calling the primary number you
can press 200 at the main menu and receive my extension. When calling the
877 number, 200 will result in ?that option is invalid?

problame with outbound calls on pri
Hi. recently I have been trying to setup a PRI on asterisk. Inbound
calls are working just fine but I am not able to make outbound
calls. Does anyone know what I need to change to make outbound
calls work? Right now the PRI is instantly hanging up on the outbound calls.
I have included full debug info as well as config files.
/etc/zaptel.conf
span=1,1,1,esf,b8zs
bchan=1-23

"context confusion" internal context 2 context only?
I'm trying to create several contexts for extentions with
different levels of access to features and I'm wondering
how the heck do I include all the contexts so that you
can call internal to any extention in another context without
giving the features of the higher level context to the lower
level context?

Out bound calls 'you must first dial a 1'
Hello,
I have asterisk 1.2.9 running on a Debian sarge server, my outbound dial
plan looks something like this:
[outbound-longdistance]
exten => _91NXXNXXXXXX,1,Dial(${OUTBOUND1}/${EXTEN:1})
About every other outbound call we make, we get the 'you must first dial a
1' message from our phone provider. It only seems to happen every other try
if we try to make multiple out bound

CallerID name lookup AGI script
Hi all,
My VoIP provider (race.com) doesn't send name info with CallerID, so I wrote
an AGI script that does the following:
1) If it's a toll free number (800|888|877|866), set the CallerID name to
"TollFree Caller"
2) Use curl to look up the number in Google phonebook
3) If a business listing, set the CallerID name to business name, as is.
4) If it's a residential

IAXTEL toll-free gateway
I have been playing around with asterisk for a week or so now and
haven't had too much trouble getting things to work but one thing seems
to puzzle me. I have been patient hoping that there was a configuration
error on the server or that the toll-free gateway was down but nothing
has changed. I have the following configuration context for IAXTEL:

Routing incoming call based on caller id
I am not that good at regex and it's use in Asterisk. I am running
Asterisk 1.4.13
Currently I have this in my extensions.conf for incoming calls on our
house phone line:
[housemenu]
exten => s,1,GotoIF($["${CALLERID(num)}" = "815xxxxxxx"]?s|12);
815xxxxxxx is our home phone number, when caller id fails or is missing
that is what is recorded.
I want to expand this

Any way to _always_ execute certain commands in a dialplan context?
I've got a need to do something like the following:
[foo-context]
exten => _.,1,SetCIDNum(123)
exten => _.,2,SetCIDName(XYZ)
include => local
include => tollfree
But of course, this example won't work. The goal here is this: if a call
ends up being handled by the "local" or "tollfree" contexts, I want
those SetCID*** commands executed. Otherwise, I

dialplan pattern matching
Hi
Is there anyway to add logic to dialplan pattern matching? I would
like to match all toll free numbers with one pattern, so 1800, 1877,
1866, 1855, etc. I can't figure out how to do this in dialplan syntax.
As a programmer, I want to say 18[00 or 77 or 66 or 55 etc]. Can't
figure out if this is even possible with dialplan pattern matching
(though I suspect it is somehow).

IAX tollfree extension conf
Hi,
I recall seeing a sample extensions.conf file that allowed tollfree
calls to be routed via iaxtel to the US and the NL, but I must be going
blind, because I've scoured the list but can't find it. Can someone
send it to me if they have it? Much appreciated. Thanks!
