They are most certainly back up and running. 800 origination is also reportedly working, although I don't have any 800#s from them. -A.
From: "Carlos Chavez" <cursor@telecomabmex.com>> Now that Nufone is dead, what are other providers of 800 numbers that > work with Asterisk? >Not entirely dead. Yesterday I received an e-mail requiring me to push some buttons on their dashboard. I think they are still trying. I switched to exgn.net. They have ready to use * configs and US+Canada toll-free. To my surprise they even send e-mails when a call doesn't go through. Erwin

We suffered no outbound downtime that was a 'show-stopper' proof positive that JJ was and always will be there, however the TF REsporgs are still killing me. You are working your butt off and I appreciate it, good luck and hope to hear ringing in my ears soon. :-) Alex (OpSys)> -----Original Message----- > From: asterisk-users-bounces@lists.digium.com [mailto:asterisk-users- > bounces@lists.digium.com] On Behalf Of Jeremy McNamara > Sent: Tuesday, May 23, 2006 11:43 PM > To: Asterisk Users Mailing List - Non-Commercial Discussion > Cc: mawise@hotmail.com > Subject: Re: [Asterisk-Users] Now that Nufone is dead... > > Tom Vile wrote: > > Definately adds stress to your life when a provider disconnects you > > but I can see that they are trying to square things away with there > > customers and it looks like good changes are in the works. > > > > Finally, after how many months of downtime? > > > Jeremy McNamara > _______________________________________________ > --Bandwidth and Colocation provided by Easynews.com -- > > Asterisk-Users mailing list > To UNSUBSCRIBE or update options visit: > http://lists.digium.com/mailman/listinfo/asterisk-users

You may also consider Asterlink. I'm a new client there, their support is a little slow, sometimes irresponsive (you need to send several messages until they notice you), they also have a misconfigured mail server but other than these problems, so far so good.

Did you keep the same number or did you signup for another number? I requested Nufone transfer my tollfree number in May and it is still not working (code is 77-4). I am wondering if this has happened to everyone or if my number fell through the cracks.
