similar to: Digium BRI or quad BRI

Hi, I'm looking for an interface card for termination of Euro-ISDN2 (BRI) lines. That is ISDN lines from the telco into my Asterisk box. Any recommendations, good/bad expiriences ? At present I'm looking at cards from BeroNet and Junghanns. Cheers, John Faroese Telecom

Yes, i know that there are many ISDN card on the market. But when i spend money for ISDN card, i prefer to be Digiums, to get all support and help Asterisk :).

Hi! This weekend we had a problem with our Asterisk Box which ran flawlessly for nearly 4 weeks. The Asterisk server sits between the PSTN and a Siemens PBX and bridges 2 BRI lines. We have a QuadBRI ISDN card from Digium. We would like to make it work with Fedora Core 4 (maybe FC3), but haven't succeeded. Compilation of bristuff from the Digium homepage fails, both the stable version with asterisk 1.0.9, and the experimental version with asterisk CVS-HEAD. Has anybody here succeeded to make this work? I'm aware of at least two options (Junghanns or Beronet), but don't know how stable and well supported they are. Which ones are better supported ? Any experiences? Any advice ? How tos ? Hi All I have a Junghanns BRI 4 port installed where only the first channel of each line is working i.e. channels 1 and 4 work but 2 and 5 don't. We're using the Quad-BRI card from Junghanns.NET with corresponding drivers (bristuff 0.0.2). The driver tries to patch asterisk libpri, which fails for current version. Anyone got an idea what'S the latest version of asterisk / libtri usable with the Quad-BRI Card? Thanks, Martin

I know it is a strange arrangement but due to contracts, it is what it is, no PRI for now. I wonder if anyone on the list has run a server with both types of cards installed? Results? Hi, I guess I'd need to run Beronet quad and octo bri cards under bristuff to get zaptel features (echo canceling, timing source).... Am I right or could I achieve this also with chan_misdn - their native driver ? Running bristuff on Beronet cards is unsupported.
