HFC-S ISDN card on *@home
It seems so simple, but I'm having no luck installing a HFC-s ISDN BRI card on *@home 0.5. I probably have to install BRI-stuff from Junghanns.net but that also downloads and installs another copy of * from Digium. I'm not sure if zaphfc has to be installed *before* Asterisk or if it's OK to do this afterwards. I've seen this question before, but: Anyone successfully installed a

chan_capi and bristuff
Hi, Reading from www.voip-info.org, i can see that "Junghann's chan_capi is now part of bristuff <http://www.voip-info.org/wiki/view/Bristuff> , as of version 0.3.0-pre". What does that really mean ? Shall I understand I can share a Junghanns QuadBRI board between 2 CAPI-enabled software (like a 0.3.0-pre bristuffed Asterisk for instance) ? If positive, what are the pros and

beronet & bristuff
Hi. I'm trying to get a Beronet QuadBRI card work with bristuff drivers. Though qozap module loads right, all card spans are in deactivated status. I'm quite sure my configuration is correct and using a single BRI card instead of the quadBRI the status is active and I can place and receive calls. On Beronet installation manual I read that Beronet and Junghanns cards are identical in

Bristuff qozap drivers problem
Hi, For a significant time now (since about 0.2.0-rc8n) the qozap driver has become very verbose if an ISDN line is not connected... I get the messages below every couple of seconds in the asterisk logs. The "flaw" in the messages is the "Alarm cleared" message - The alarm cannot possibly be cleared because there is no physical media connected into that port!!! (BTW - All

Anyone here using JUNGHANNS.net douBRI 2.0 ISDN ?
Hi, I'm very new to asterisk and managed to set one up in debian, I installed via apt-get the asterisk and asterisk-bristuff packages. I downloaded the bristuff source as well. I managed to get as far as loading the following modules: zaptel 199144 4 cwain, zaphfc, zttranscode, ztdummy But the problem now is that all channels that I try to configure gives me an error that

quadBRI PCI ISDN on Suse Linux 10
Hello, I am trying to install the drivers for the Junghanns quadBRI card, but am having a problem. I have essentially followed the procedure from http://www.voip-manager.net/installation-linux-asterisk.php. At the stage to install the ISDN card I have completed the following: 1) downloaded the bristuff-0.2.0-RC8q.tar.gz to /usr/src 2) unpacked it in /usr/src - tar xvzf bristuff-0.2.0-RC8q.tar.gz

BeroNet HFC-4S card is now detected as only 2 ports
Hello list, After upgrading from BRIstuff 1y-b to 1y-e my ISDN card is suddently detected as 2 ports instead of 4. I still load the driver as "modprobe qozap ports=12" as I've always done. But now it only sees 2 ports. Output of "lspci -vvv" ------ cut -------- 02:01.0 ISDN controller: Cologne Chip Designs GmbH ISDN network Controller [HFC-4S] (rev 01) Subsystem:

OT - Differences between modprobe and insmod
hello, Here (http://updates.xorcom.com/astribank/bristuff/1.4/INSTALL.html) you can read : cd qozap modprobe zaptel insmod qozap.o (for kernel 2.4) insmod qozap.ko (for kernel 2.6) ztcfg I thought modprobe was a replacement for insmod. Can someone be kind enough to explain : 1. the difference between modprobe and insmod, 2. why should both commands be issued, 3. how modprobe and insmod compare

bristuff-0.2.0-RC8h does not compile
Hi, it helps to have configured and working kernel sources installed. Configure your kernel sources for the running kernel and then run "make" in the kernel source dir to build the necessary scripts. You dont have to wait until the kernel is compiled. best regards Klaus -- Klaus-Peter Junghanns Am Samstag, den 25.06.2005, 02:45 +0200 schrieb Stefan Gofferje: > Hi folks, > >

bristuff - qozap dirver bug (and fix?)
Hi, (cc. asterisk-users, hope that is not a big Faux Pas) I've had trouble with the qozap driver for a LONG time now, where it will not recognise and ignore a missing ISDN2 line on a quad card if one of the 4 ports is unplugged or somehow faulty. The symptom is that is correctly recognises the fault, but then clears the RED ALARM almost immediately, leaving Asterisk thinking that it can call

BRI hardware supported by 1.6 libpri ?
Hi, Has anyone information about BRI hardware supported by 1.6 libpri ? In another thread, I was told a basic BRI card with HFC chipset (Bewan Gazel 128) was supported but I would delighted to lear about other harwarde (and specifically about Digium B410P). florz patch for bristuff breaks compile on x86_64?
After upgrading a CentOS 3.x box to CentOS 4.1 (both x86_64 with an Athlon64) I also wanted to get the latest bristuff. Unfortunately bristuff without florz causes the box to kernel panic within hours (console will complain about bad frame received something). It seems however that the florz patch will not work for x86_64 arch. Bristuff -0.2.0-RC8j compiles fine without the florz patch, but

Bristuff-0.3.0-PRE-1q and & florz patch compile trouble
Again trouble compiling bristuff-0.3.0-PRE-1q with the florz patch on a x86_64 box (I guess nobody is using x86_64 platform or is able to fix this themselves?) First of all when bristuff is downloaded and compile is started it appears that the bristuff Makefiles are badly broken. The asterisk Makefiles all do see to find the kernel sources on a RHEL4 box in the proper directory, the pure

Does Debian Bristuffed Asterisk work ignore Beronet cards ?
Hi, we've purchased new Beronet Octobri card and have problems loading modules for stock Asterisk for Debian Sarge (it has bristuff patches in it). when loading qozap it says that no multibri card was found although lspci shows it... There were quite some rumours about bristuff not liking other than junghanns cards, but don't know if something happened.... Anyone recently used this

ztdummy, zttest
Hello, Today we setted up a server that needs to use MeetMe but doesn't have any Zap hardware. So we need to use ztdummy (at least, this was our idea). Rarely: zttest is not working at all (100% bad, using zttest -v doesn't give anything, etc.). Of course, after load ztdummy, there isn't any background or anything. It is the same kernel (Debian Etch default kernel, 2.6.18) than

MeetMe freezes machine with Junghanns QuadBRI cards
Hello everybody, I've got Asterisk 1.2.4 running with two Junghanns QuadBRI cards using the qozap driver from bristuff 0.3.0-PRE-1l. One of the cards is running in TE mode, the other one in NT mode. Whenever I call into an empty MeetMe conference room on one of the NT ports or via SIP and hang up the call during the "you are currently the only participant in this conference"

module load order for Junghanns qozap and TDM card
Hi all, I'm trying to get a junghanns QuadBRI to coexist in the same machine as a Digium TDM400P card (so I can run the ISDN lines in and bridge with analog phones plugged into the TDM). I'm having a problem loading the modules. If I follow the BRIstuff (0.3.0-pre-1l) install method.... it's to modprobe zaptel, then insmod qozap.o I'm on Debian 2.4.31. That works. But then I
