Intel 537EP is NOT the MD3200 aka X100P [Re: Intel 537EP chipset, revisited]
It seems the information out there on this topic was confusing enough to
cause me to waste a lot of time, and that this topic is rehashed
periodically. So now it's my turn....
I had a modem with an Intel 537EP chip on it and thought it might work
with the zaptel drivers. Initially, it seemed the only issue would be
the PCI device & vendor codes. Then, I ran into the problem that

X100P fails to initialize
So I took a chance with an X100P knock-off on eBay. I'm running Asterisk +
FreePBX on a PowerMac G3 (beige desktop) using Slackintosh 10.2 and kernel
2.6.16.16. Everything has been fine up until now.
I compile the 1.2.5 Zaptel drivers without a problem, get the udev
configuration in, modprobe zaptel, and finally modprobe wcfxo. At this
point, I get the message:

Intel 537EP chipset, revisited
Hello everyone.
I hope that this isn't a sore topic, but I've spent a week now reading
through everything I could dig up from the archives on this topic, and
I'm not yet satisfied with any conclusions presented there. I've also
spent a few days hacking on the Asterisk code, trying to understand how
things work better, and I'm still not ready to give up. I well-realize

X100P Driver loaded, but no IO on /dev/zap/1
Asterisk doesnt answer the ringing phone, so according to some doc that I
read I should try and see if I get I/O on /dev/zap/1. I dont see any from
cat /dev/zap/1 while it is ringing or otherwise. Dmesg seems to have
a few odd things (out of space), not sure how relevant. Does anyone have
any ideas?

Trying to install X100P
I have just got my X100p card and am trying to install it.
I have built and installed the zaptel drivers without any apparent errors
and I am now trying to get them working. I have the following in config

In /etc/zaptel.conf

In /etc/asterisk/zapata.conf

Now when I try ti modprobe the drivers this is what happens:

I'm experiencing frequent kernel panics when using the X100P card under

causing a series of oopses followed by a complete crash.
I have just hacked the kernel to reenable 8k stacks and will see

wcfxo fails to find Sweex CA000022 - X100P clone
Hi,
I'm trying to figure out why my Sweex CA000022 is not detected by wcfxo on my SuSE Pro 9.3 running on a VIA EPIA SP motherboard. The card should work as its an Intel 82537EP based card.
When Booting the IRQ assignments for the board indicate:

can't load x100p card
Ok, I have 2 PC's that are identical. I loaded Redhat9 on the first and
Asterisk and installed a x100p card and it works fine. I ghost the first PC
and install the ghost on the second PC. Everything comes up on the 2nd PC
but I can't get it's x100p card to load. The systems sees the card, it's on
interrupt 11. It shows up in /proc/pci and /etc/sysconfig/hwconf and lspci
shows it

Asterisk is not "picking up the phone" with a x100p card
Hi.
I have a x100p card installed on my asterisk box... my zapata.conf file
includes the following lines:
[channels]
context=default
switchtype=national
signalling=fxo_ls
rxwink=300
echocancel=yes
rxgain=0.0
txgain=0.0
group=1
callgroup=1
pickupgroup=1
Basically, the zapata.conf file generated by make samples.
Then in my extensions.conf I have this:

Need help configuring TE100P and 3 X100P clonewith MD3200 chipset
Hmm, I don't have /etc/modprobe.conf, and wctdm is giving me problems.
Which device is it talking about?
[root@asterix /]# modprobe wctdm
/lib/modules/2.4.20-8/misc/wctdm.o: init_module: No such device
Hint: insmod errors can be caused by incorrect module parameters,
including invalid IO or IRQ parameters.
You may find more information in syslog or the output from dmesg

Need help configuring TE100P and 3 X100P clone with MD3200 chipset
I can either get the TE100P working or the 3 X100P clones working, but
never both. I have the TE100P connected to a channel bank, and X100P
clones to lines from the phone company.
This is my zaptel.conf

fxsks=1-24
loadzone=us
fxols=25-27

I then do

X100P Clone, Which one?
Hi All,
Googling X100P Clone I found several information about these cards and seems that some winmodem has the same chip used from the original X100P.
Here below a list winmodem which should work as X100P clone:

5608 SM56 PCI Fax Voice Modem
E159 Tiger Jet Network Inc

E400P and 2 X100P working, but not together
Hey all,
?
I'm trying to get an E400P and 2 X100Ps working together in the one box
and don't seem to be having much luck.
?
I can get the two different types of boards working separately, but not
together.? I've made calls on both the X100P and have seen sync and
correct signalling on the E400P.? But when I try to enable to configs
together I get the following:

Generic X100P setup issues
I am starting to dip my toes into the asterisk world, and to that end
I've scavenged an old PC (this is a home project, and I have basically
$0 to spend on it), and installed FC1. I've purchased a clone X100P (or
at least I was told it was), and I am trying to get it to work. However,
when I try and load the wcfxo module, I get the following errors...
