Sip + Cisco 7940/7960 + Panel + DND + queues
Hi all,
Running bristuffed 1.2.4 system with solely Cisco 7940/7960 phones
with SIP.
I'm using also op_panel 0.25 (snapshot).
I'm using * queues.
I want to properly implement DND via *78 and *79.
I'm using op_panel's documentation RECIPE 1 solution with astdb and dnd
variables and this is fine for FOP.
The DND works in normal cases, since I catch it with my Macro dialsip,

Asterisk 13 queue and DND phones
Hi,
I've noticed that when I set a phone on DND (phone-side DND, meaning it
rejects calls with a busy status, SIP 486 response code I believe) the
queue keeps on trying the phone over and over again.
This creates issues in terms of CDR entries - in a scenario where there is
only one phone on DND, and a delay between attempts of 1 second, the queue
will attempt to ring the single phone

cisco 7912 voicemail/dnd issue
Hi all,
I playing around with some C7912 IP phones (SIP FW).
They work nice with asterisk, but I found the following issue:
o When I configure the voicemail number (8500) to access VM
I can push the "messages" button on the phone to access my VM
o The phone can setup DND and call redirection on NA and BUSY
o MWI is also working fine ;-)
But in this case the call will be

Dahdi 2.6.1 with OSLEC support
In order solve my incoming caller ID problem, I upgrade the dahdi to
version 2.6.1 from version 2.4.x. After upgrade, I found the echo
cancellation doesn't working (I'm using Digium AEX800B PCI Express card). I
can hear my self talking on the phone. How to solve this? I think I need to
recompile dahdi 2.6.1 with OSLEC support? how?

how to determine if a SIP extension has DND on or off
I would like to determine through an AGI script if a
specific SIP extension has DND on or off.
I know that if the SIP client dialed *78 or *79 it is
usually enough to just do a:
database show dnd
to fetch the DND status from the database.
However, not all clients dial *78 or *79 (or whichever
feature code is defined for DND).
Some softphones such as SJPhone have a DND button.
When pressed and

Cisco 7960 SIP - DND soft key toggle?
Running the latest * CVS and Cisco 7960G and 7940G phones with SIP 6.3 image.
I have figured out how to turn on the DND feature through the
Settings>Call Preferences>Do Not Disturb - Yes then Save. This puts the
phone into DND On and shows a DND image above the far right soft key which
you use to turn off DND.
There should be a better way. An on/off toggle of the soft key that it

Polling DND status of a Linksys SPA9xx/5xx phone?
Hi,
Is there a way to poll the DND status of a Linksys SPA9xx/5xx phone?
The reason I ask is that I'm trying to implement DND + BLF on asterisk.
However, the DND softkey on the Linksys phone does not send any
feature codes to asterisk.
On the flip side, if you disable the Vertical Activation Codes on the
phone, then dialing the feature code doesn't display 'Do Not Disturb'

AgentCallbackLogin and calling outside
Hi,
I have a small callcenter with 3 agents who login using
AgentCallbackLogin. They normally receive calls, but needs to call
outside also. When they call outside, though they are busy the "show
agents" shows them as available, and calls gets routed to them. How can
I make them busy when they call outside.
Also they also need to move out for couple of minutes or to send a mails

how to activate DND on 1.6.0.9
Hi,
I want to activate DND on ast 1.6.0.9 with asterisk-gui.
Is there special commands that i need to use during such script
or simply writing a code in extensions.conf that checks if the user has a
DND=yes value on ast. database and act according to that like forwarding
call to voicemail or sending back a busy tone or playing a DND msg.
And is there a way to notify a GPX_2000 for example for a

Request for comments on queue statistics
All,
I've been doing a lot of work on the Queue application and have some ideas
I wanted to get some feedback on. Many people, myself included, have
stated their desire for more/better queue statistics. We ought to be able
to bring things up to a standard comparable to the established ACD apps.
While some basic metrics (completed/abandoned calls, which agents last
took a call, etc) can be

Does anyone know how to use the DND feature oc Cisco 7940/7960
Hi all,
I have looked at cisco docs and it says DND is set by pressing the services
button and choosing DND. Does anyone know how to configure DND in the
services.xml file. I've googled around and not found anything.
When you enable it in SIPDefault.cnf it just allows you to use it once.
Many thanks for all your amazing work.

accomplished through this setting in the phones provisioning file:

How to disable DND feature key in Polycom Phone
Hi
We have polycom 430,501 and 301 phones. Our customer does not need DND feature in any form.
I can disable this feature from asterisk server but How can i disable this feature on phones. In the
sip configuration file i found the parameter that change the phone behaviour during DND from busy
to normal but still if the phone is in dnd mode the phone ringer would be off which is unacceptable.

Agents on DND still receiving calls...
Fellow Asterisk Users,
I'm running Asterisk 1.2.5, and I've configured basic call queueing using
agents. The problem I'm having is that agents who are on DND are still
considered (by Asterisk) to be eligible to take calls. This means that calls
will hit voicemail even when other agents who are not on DND are available.
Any ideas how I can make agents ineligible to receive calls

DND on a Polycom IP450
Only slightly asterisk related I suppose, but hoping someone has
attempted this...
I have an old installation with a bunch of IP501s, and one died. I
replaced it with an IP450, and the user sorely misses his DND button. I
hated those DND buttons anyway, as I couldn't control them centrally.
I'd *like* to program one of his softkeys to send a *XX sequence to do

Abandoned queue calls do not produce a CDR?
Hello everyone,
I've just upgraded from 1.6.1.9 to 1.6.2.13.
I have noticed that (after the upgrade) abandoned calls within the Queue
produce no cdr at all.
I am using unanswered = no (the default) in cdr.conf.
The call shows, as expected, in the queue_log as ABANDON
The dialplan is:
Ringing();

Adding DND to dialplan
Hello -
I've read Asterisk should be able to activate a do not disturb feature
to turn off the ringers on extensions. I checked the wiki and can't
find documentation for how to do it.
Here's my attempt, added to extensions.conf:
[dnd-on]

exten => _#78,n,Wait(1)
exten => _#78,n,Macro(user-callerid,)
