Asterisk@home with Wildcard TDM400P card.
Hi all, I posted this to the list yesterday, but not sure it made it. I'm running the latest Asterisk@home release, and am trying to install a Wildcard TDM400P with one FXS port and one FXO port. Linux see's the card during the start up ( I think) but when I modprobe for the card it's not being seen. Has anyone successfully added a TDM400P to a Asterisk@home .03 ??? I'm

Asterisk@home and Zap Channels
Hi all, I've been all over the Asterisk@home site and all through the configs, and I can't find how to create extensions that will use the zap channel. Sip phones I can find, but no way to assign a extension number to the phone I plug into the TDM400P card. Am I just missing something?

Static Noise coming from Wildcard FXS: Wildcard TDM400P
I recently plugged in Phone to my TDM400P Card to test out something I mostly use sip phones to interface with *. All of sudden I'm getting lot of line static noise coming of the card is there any settings I should look at or anything I need to do on the command line at this point I'm open to any ideas I'm running 0.7.1 on Redhat 9.0 machine. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Ring Voltage Supplied by Wildcard TDM400P REV E/F & AUTO FXS/DPO
Hi; I'm trying to connect a TDM400P with an FXS module to a Valcom V-9940 Paging adaptor. This port on the TDM400P was connected to a 2500 Set and was working I just re-connected it to the Valcom (which is known to work on a Telco POTS line) and its not picking up. The Valcom docs say it need a minimum of 75 Volts at 20-30 Hz to recognize a call... So the question is what ring voltage

Phantom (ghost) Calls with Wildcard TDM400P
We have a client that has a single Wildcard TDM400P with 3 FXO ports on Asterisk 1.0.7. Occasionally the system seems to loose its mind and starts originating calls from that Zap channels that don't exist. The receptionist picks up the phone and nobody is there. This can happen repeatedly over and over again within a few minutes. As far as we can tell these are definitely not real calls as

Wildcard TDM400P
Hi... Actually, I have to digium cards install on my server running asterisk. They are X101P and TDM400P. Right now, X101P is running perfectly, but the another card doesn't work. In fact, it is not reconized by the server. When I try to load wcfxs.o it shows me the following message: /lib/modules/2.4.18-14/misc/wcfxs.o: init_module: No such device Hint: insmod errors can be caused by

FW: Issue in configuring TDM400P
Hi, I have installed a TDM400P in a PC which runs RedHat Linux 3.2.2-5. There is an FXS module connected to the first slot of TDM400P and an FXO module connected to the fourth slot. This card is detected by the operationg system, which I was able to make sure using the output of lspci command. I modified the configuration files zaptel.conf, zapata.conf and extensions.conf. When I execute the

Wildcard X100P or TDM400P?
I'm looking to add a single FXO port to my Asterisk box. It looks like my options are a Digium Wildcard X100P off eBay for $6.99, or a Wildcard TDM400P with an FXO Module from Digium for $125. Can anyone explain the tradeoffs (other than the ability to put 4 FXO/FSO modules on the TDM400P). What about RTC for the system - I know the TDM400P provides it. Does the X100P? Thanks!

advantages of a sip phone over Wildcard TDM400P solution
Hi, after finally getting my testsystem to work well I'm planning to buy some hardware. Now I was wondering what the advantages / disadvantages of using a Wildcard TDM400P solution over using real sip phones like the snoms is? The only thing I came up with is that the Snoms can use a LDAP adressbook on the server. What about calling a sip adress like person@server.com. Can this be done by

Wildcard TDM400P (TDM40B) connectors
Hi, I'm no phone guy but I've been having quite a bit of fun messing with Asterisk. I just unwrapped my new Wildcard TDM400P (TDM40B) which is the new 4 port FXS PCI card. It has 4 RJ45 connectors and I'd like to hookup 4 regular phones which are RJ11. If I crip RJ45 connectors to the phone cords do I simple use the center two pins (pins 4 and 5)? Thanks, Randy Smith Tiger

Empty Wildcard TDM400P as a MeetMe timer.
I've just moved into 3.3v PCI servers and found that my clone X100P cards were lying about the 3.3v supported notch. Can I use a Wildcard TDM400P without any modules as a timer for MeetMe in a 64 bit 3.3v server? Will I still need to plug the hard disk power cable into it? Is there a better cheaper 3.3v MeetMe timer? (Boss doesn't trust the kernel timer.) -HJC

Digium Wildcard TDM400P call pickup timing
I have an analogue trunk to an AT&T Definity. It has a DISA context defined. From a Definity handset call the analogue port extension 1008 and wait for dial tone from asterisk. It takes between 3&4 rings. Likewise from Asterisk SIP handset <PBX Access No><PBX Extn> takes nearly 10 secs to ring. Is this configurable? Ian Cowley -----Original Message----- From:

Possibly bad FXS module in TDM400P?
I've got the latest zaptel and cvs asterisk software loaded on my phone server running FC3. And yes, It's fully updated and udev is setup correctly. I've got a TDM400P with one FXS and one FXO module installed. When I load zaptel and wctdm and run ztcfg -vvv, I get this: [root@asterisk ~]# ztcfg -vvv ZT_CHANCONFIG failed on channel 1: No such device or address (6) Zaptel

TDM400p FXO module always offhook
I have a TDM400p with 3 FXS mods and 1 FXO mod. I have all set up with what seems to be correct settings (according to digium and asterisk wiki). As soon as I plug in my POTS line into FXO mod the line goes into offhook state (whether I have power to the card or not). Should this happen? When I try to call * box all I get is busy signal. I've installed stable version, cvs version, change

TDM400P and Junghanns QuadBRI issue
Hi List, I'm setting up a system with one TDM400P (2*FXO + 2 * FXS) and one Junghanns QuadBRI on a Fedora Core 6 (Kernel 2.6.20-1.2944.fc6). I'm using the bristuff-0.3.0-PRE-1y-e kit. can't get TDM400P to answer
Hi all, I can't figure out why my TDM400P (with one FXO plugin) won't answer any calls. There are no messages in the Asterisk console when a call is placed to the FXO line from the PSTN. Any suggestions would be most appreciated. The wctdm and zaptel modules are loaded: [root@steerpike asterisk]# lsmod | grep wc wctdm 37952 0 zaptel 189700 1 wctdm

digium dev kit - X100P & TDM400P
Hello. Well I finally rx'd my dev kit (new batch of TDM's apparently. I'm on Mandrake 9.1 There were no hardware install instructions, it would have been nice to know whether the 4-way power connector was to be used or was for some other future or expansion purpose. It came with a floppy disc, no label and it wasn't even write protected. The only readme file was

TDM400P GroundStart Problems
Hello, I am having problems configuring a TDM400P 4 Port FXO card with groundstart signalling. The box has 2 X100P's, 1 TDM04B and 1 TDM40B. I can configure it for loopstart and it works, just not groundstart, which I need for this installation. What am I missing? Thanks!
