Sipura SPA-1001 and Tivo Series 1
Hi everyone, I just got a Sipura SPA-1001 and have connected my Tivo Series 1 (yes its old). When I do a test call with Tivo, the call always fails (it seems to dial the number but never connects). I can pick up the phone line and hear the Tivo "talking". I've tried looking around for anything special I need to do but its still not working. I can connect a phone to the SPA-1001

no sound between extensions
Hello all, I have Asterisk 1.4.26 installed on an OpenSuSE 11.2 server with a Digium 8 port FXO card. The local network is 100Mbps Ethernet and my phones are Linksys SPA-921 or Linksys Analog adaptors. The phones are setup with DHCP, and are on the same flat non-routed network. There is no NAT involved. If I call from extension 6000 to extension 6001, or vice-versa both are SPA-921s.

SPA-3000 VOIP-PSTN gateway - long delay between answering and ringing
Greetings, We are currently testing a Sipura SPA-3000 as a gateway from our Asterisk system to a PSTN line for 911 access. We have a number of locations and want to place an SPA-3000 in each, connected to a PSTN line that will provide the correct ANI/ALI information to 911 for each location. It all works great, except for a reasonably significant (4 seconds) delay between when the SPA-3000

Sipura spa-2000 / 3000: surge protection
I am located in the UK, and I am using Sipura spa-2000 adapters to connect analog phones to a voip network. The network connects to the PSTN as well via the Sipura spa-3000 adapter. I would like to provide surge protection for the spa-2000 and the spa-3000 adapters. 1. For spa-2000, fxs port: What is the maximum tip-to-ring voltage before damage to the the adapter occurs? 2. For spa-2000,

Interface analogue exchange line to VOIP phone?
I have a potential customer who has an existing PBX with analogue FXS ports connected to phones. He wants to allow a single remote worker to be connected to one of the analogue extension ports using VOIP. I know I could do it using Asterisk with an X100P card, but that seems a bit overkill. Does anyone know of an analogue->VOIP adapter that has an FXO port in it instead of just an FXS port?

linksys SPA-941
does anyone get a hold of the SPA-941 Provisioning Guide? i tried call Sipura's tech support, seems like none of them heard of the term "remote provisioning". they kept refering me to their web site which i've check thoroughly, and could not find any documentations on the SPA-941. finally they gave me a phone number to call, which appears to be a fax machine. that's when i

SIPURA Breaches Contract
Hi list, Well I really didn't want to see things get to this point, but Sherman at Sipura along with their President Jan F. leave me no other choice. SIPURA has been provided a letter from our attorney for Breach of Contract and damages. They have yet to respond. A quick background. 1. Sherman (SIPURA's Director of Marketing), stated that we would do a join press release for the Oct

Sipura Devices and Asterisk?
I'm currently using the Linksys PAP2, and since there's a shortage I'm looking for different devices. I'm mainly looking at the Sipura SPA sets since they are the base of the pap2. Anyone else have experience using them, and which one? Thanks Sherwood McGowan -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... URL:

Sipura SPA-3000 and PSTN dtmf
Greetings, What is the recommended settings for using SPA-3000's FXO port for dialing out to PSTN in regard of the DTMF? The voip lan contains SPA-2100 and SPA-3000, with all fxs/fxo ports registered to the Asterisk box with unique username/passwords. The inbound PSTN DTMF works excellently, e.g. people calling from PSTN into the * box are able to pick IVR items with DTMF reliably. The

Sipura g729 call quality to PSTN
If this has been covered before - I appologize. We use some Sipura SPA-2000's with the g711 codec and all seems fine (except for the occasional failure to register errors in my asterisk logs - but I will save that for another post). g711 call quality is on par with our Cisco 7960's. However, when using the g729 codec, the call quality on the Sipura device goes downhill on the PSTN side

spouse-friendly spa-3000 pstn interface
This post is simply documenting a spouse-friendly way of using the spa-3000 as both a fxs and fxo port for basic soho environments in the US, allowing asterisk to participate as needed/wanted. All home phones are connected _only_ to the spa-3000 fxs port. The incoming home pstn line is connected _only_ to the spa-3000 fxo port. Defined Line 1 (fxs) to register with asterisk via sip (extn

SIP codec preference order ineffective
Hi, I set a preference order of the codecs to my sip.conf [general] port = 5060 ; Port to bind to bindaddr = 0.0.0.0 ; Address to bind to context = default ; Default for incoming calls of not registered phones disallow = all allow = g729 allow = g723 allow = alaw allow = ulaw Connected a 'Sipura SPA' sip phone to asterisk with g729 as its preferred codec. [OT] Sipura-3000 - Immediate hangup on inbound PSTN calls
My apologies for the off-topic post ... No matter what settings I try, when I dial in to the SPA-3000 on the PSTN line, it picks up the call and immediately gives me a fast busy tone then hangs up. The info tab says under PSTN Line status: Last PSTN Disconnect Reason: PSTN Disconnect Tone which seems to indicate that the SPA thinks the caller has hung up. Since I am in Japan, it is possible

SPA3000 -- PSTN to VoIP
Hi, all I am trying to figure out how to forward incoming PSTN call on SPA3000 to VoIP extension(s). Basically, I have converted my home to VoIP. I have normal phone (connected to SPA3000) and couple of IP phones. All call coming from VoIP DID do ring all phones (analogue via SPA3000 and IP ones). Now I need to do same thing for incoming PSTN calls. I have enabled gateway function in SPA3000 and

help with Sipura SPA 3000
Hi there everyone! I've bought a Sipura SPA 3000, and succesfully connected it to my Mac, where I installed Asterisk 1.4.0. Both ports (FXO and FXS) are well configured). However, living in Brazil, I'd like to know if there are optimal settings to my PSTN that I should enter into the config of the device. I experience a little bit of echo on the FXO probably because I raised the gain of

Sipura config
This question isn't entirely Asterisk related, but I'm hoping that someone here may have the knowledge to respond to me anyway. I'm using Asterisk with several Sipura SPA-2000 SIP devices as FXS adapters. I would like to have my SPA's automatically provisioned through http or tftp, but I can't find any information on how to do so. Sipura's tech-support has not been very
