Hi, I plan to connect to remote Asterisk that will terminate calls to ISDN primary channel. I'd certainly like to secure this type of service, so would kindly ask for any advice on how to secure this authentication as much as reasonably possible. Has anyone tried to compile Samba on Windows 2000? I know it's a weird idea, but I don't like the fact that W2K shares c$, d$, RPC$, etc. With Cygwin, I didn't get past configure, it complained that locking was unavaliable and bombed out. Come to think of it since the DTA310 uses DNS to find the SIP server, you could setup a DNS cache and override the DNS entry for what packet8 uses (proxy2-eqix-sjo.packet8.net : 15062, over here) to point to the IP of your own SIP server? Building po-docs currently fails because po-docs/ja/Makefile.am requires files which are generated by po-docs/Makefile.am, which the latter does not create by default.
