How to connect two Asterisks as secure as possible without too much additional bandwidth ?
Hi, I plan to connect to remote Asterisk that will terminate calls to ISDN primary channel. I'd certainly like to secure this type of service, so would kindly ask for any advice on how to secure this authentication as much as reasonably possible. Since there is long IP route I guess VPN will take too much additional bandwidth... Regards, Robert.

Samba ON NT?
Has anyone tried to compile Samba on Windows 2000? I know it's a weird idea, but I don't like the fact that W2K shares c$, d$, RPC$, etc. With Cygwin, I didn't get past configure, it complained that locking was unavaliable and bombed out. Is it technically feasable to get Samba running on Cygwin? (I disabled Server&Co in my Services already :} ) Thanks! --Brandon Bergren (Please

Total newbie here looking to do a VoIP conferencecall?
Patrick hi. Asterisk can do that, and you don't need VOIP lines. If you connect Asterisk to the net, and all employees have a VOIP phone (either hardware or software) then you're good to go. What do you need? To begin with, install linux on an old pc (well, not too old). Then go to voip-info.org and take a look at the Asterisk wiki. Everything you need is there. And of course, we're

tiny typo in translation (src/library/tools/po/R-de.po)
Dear developers, nearly not worth mentioning, but anyway: there is a tiny typo in a german translation file (in src/library/tools/po/R-de.po: 'erzuege' instead off 'erzeuge'). The attached (if it passes the filters...) patch (for revision 51109) should correct this. Thanks, Martin -- Dr. Martin Becker Statistics and Econometrics Saarland University Campus C3 1, Room 206

[PATCH] build: Move po subdir after everything else except po-docs
Otherwise it complains about missing files that it has no rules for, for example `builder/index-parser.c`. Signed-off-by: Martin Kletzander <mkletzan@redhat.com> --- Another issue I found when compiling on CentOS 7. Not sure why it happens, but it only makes sense that the directory that uses files from other directories (which might be generated) is used after all the code ones.

Total newbie here looking to do a VoIPconfer ence call?
Come to think of it since the DTA310 uses DNS to find the SIP server, you could setup a DNS cache and override the DNS entry for what packet8 uses (proxy2-eqix-sjo.packet8.net : 15062, over here) to point to the IP of your own SIP server? Kind of a hack but it should work as long as it's running on port 15062. I am very new to this so I don't know if there's a port standard for SIP

[PATCH] build: generate some just-removed files in po/
My change that removed most of po/* should have included this patch to generate two required files. Without this change, "make -C po" fails like this: make: Entering directory `/o/libguestfs/po' make: *** No rule to make target `/config.status', needed by `Makefile'. Stop. ... Once you've pulled this change, you will need to run ./bootstrap manually to make

[PATCH] Fix build of po-docs during initial build
Building po-docs currently fails because po-docs/ja/Makefile.am requires files which are generated by po-docs/Makefile.am, which the latter does not create by default. This patch doesn't fix the dependencies properly, but fixes the problem by ensuring that po-docs/Makefile.am will build all LINGUA deps by default. --- po-docs/Makefile.am | 2 ++ 1 files changed, 2 insertions(+), 0

[PATCH 1/3] po: fix broken message extraction
Extracting separately the pot for the various languages and then creating manually the global pot (by manually joining the above ones after having stripped their headers) is wrong, since other than being an hack it can create an invalid pot when the same message appears in sources written in different languages. Instead, a cleaner and safer solution is to first let ocaml-gettext (if available)

rc/po files
Hi all, I wasn't around when .po files were introduced into Wine so I've missed the thought process, but following this: http://www.winehq.org/pipermail/wine-devel/2011-April/089682.html (and http://www.winehq.org/pipermail/wine-patches/2011-April/100575.html) I must ask what are they for? Is it simply a case that they haven't been fully implemented yet? I understand that .rc files
