What my IAXy could have been...
Hi,
methinks that in the good 3 months since i ordered an IAXy, things have
changed so much that now almost anybody out there with a VoIP hardweare
website offers complete phones for less money than the IAXy, with support
for both IAX2 and SIP in many cases, and fully configurable via its own
keypad.
What would you recommend as a rugged, small, and easy to configure/use
self-contained unit that

IAX Devices Recommendation

Does anyone have any recommendations on an IAX Desktop Telephone or ATA
Device. I currently have 2 of the SIPURA-841's on my local network and
now I am wanting to try an IAX Device at my remote office since I think
that it would be easier to configure through various routers than a SIP
Device. I just started to look at the Digium IAXy Single FXS

IAX2 hard phone
I purchased an IAX2 hardphone, X100 otherwise known as a Netweb X100 or
YWH100 with a PA168 chip and the latest firmware 1.45 available, from a
US retailer. I was able to configure the phone to work with my Asterisk
box, except the hold and transfer buttons do not work. When you press
the hold button, it rings endlessly, the transfer button, displays
"transferring" but it does nothing.

Eezee phone?
I'm just wondering if anyone knows the story with these...
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=5721202362&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT
He claims they support IAX2 and SIP... but almost no history on the account selling them. I didn't see anything in the wiki about this company either..
Does anyone have any history with these phones?
Thanks,
Jared

Asterisk hardphone
I've got Asterisk up and running nicely using a couple of different softphones. Audio quality is suffering a bit due to the hardware that I am working with. So I tried to use a Polycom hardphone but the politics is enough to give you a headache. Polycom seems to support SIP only if you buy it thought their vendors. So I'm looking at a Cisco phone. Has anyone successfully implemented

FARFON lives!
Some of you have been following our progress on
http://farfon.convergence.com.pk as we blundered our way through the
development of a low-cost ethernet IP phone that does IAX and augments the
client options currently available for the kick-assterisk server.
With help from the denizens of #asterisk and kind words of advice from Mr.
Spencer and the rest of the gang ... we're proud to have

Good NAT Pnp Hardphone
Hello All,
I am looking for a sip phone that is capable of automatic nat. The
Cisco ata186 for example works fine for natting with iconnecthere, but
as for asterisk, both my 7960 and polycom ip600 require you to set the
nat ip on the tftp.
Does anyone know a good phone (or ata) that can do this automatically?
For example,
I want to give a phone to my brother, who is going to europe. His ICH

multiline IP hardphone w/ FDX speakerphone?
Could someone please recommend a reasonably priced IP phone
that works well with *, has a decent (full duplex, echo canceling)
speakerphone, has at least two line appearances, and can
transfer / conference reliably?
The Wiki lists 35 brands of hardphone, but:
1. Most seem to be toys.
2. For many, there is no info on e.g. speakerphone characteristics.
3. When one seems technically promising, e.g.

Best Hardphone (Subjective?)
After working with the Grandstream GXP 2000 series phones, I have
decided that I am quite unhappy with their problems, both voice quality,
volume, features and others. For their price now, there are plenty of
phones to choose from as well.
So subjectively what would be the best Hardphone for a small/medium
business with multiple line support, BLF, etc.
Are the Cisco 7960 the best of the

OT: SIP hardphone with multi-color BLF
Hi,
Is anyone aware of a SIP hardphone with Busy Lamp Fields supporting 2 colors
(or more) ?
This could be very useful to support extended presence, for instance.

Your favorite desktop wifi sip hardphone ?
Hi,
Which is your favorite desktop wifi sip hardphone ?
I'm looking for something like
http://www.mitel.com/DocController?documentId=19401 which could be easily
moved from one meeting room to another.
(In this specific case, finding an electrical plug to power a large desktop
phone is seen more relevant than finding an PoE Ethernet plug or using a
mobile handset.)

Problem with Polycom Soundpoint IP 320 Hardphone
Hey all,
I've setup my asterisk install on a CentOS5 server, I've got a few
IAX2 and SIP softphone clients connected on the same subnet and at
least 1 external IAX2 softphone. However I'm having some difficulty
getting the Polycom hardphone to function correctly. Watching the logs
and debug trace it:
- Registers correctly
- Is able to make calls to other peers
However it is not able

Decent Asterisk Compatible VoIP HardPhone - Australia
Gee, I think the subject says the right thing.
I've looked at the wiki at the various phones available, and basically I
think what I am after is one of the following phones:
Polycom
Aastra 480i
Zulty's Zip 4x4
Although after just reading through the review linked from the wiki, and
the polycom website, it seems like these are one of the better phones,
right up there with the cisco's?

updating display of a hardphone based on agents logging in
Greetings all,
We are settng up a fair sized call center on Asterisk, but we are
having some issues with our agents not knowing if they have logged in
and logged out. Prior to beginning our migration to VoIP the agents
logged into our nortel phones and confirmation was displayed on the
phone.
My question is has anyone out there done anything from Asterisk that
can change the display on

'dialer' application to trigger call between hardphone and number
Does anyone know of a small lightweight windows 'dialer' application I can use to trigger a call (via call file or AMI) from any application? (The call would be placed between the target number, and the preconfigured DN of the hardphone at the user's desk)
Ideally a phone number would be 'selected' from within any windows application and the call would be triggered via

Hardphone deployment recommendation
I'm looking to purchase and deploy a bunch of hardphones for agent
use. The phones will have to register with Asterisk and/or SER,
depending on where the phones go. They need only one line, G729 codec,
and no super fancy features. Preferrably something that is easy to
provision.
I would think the BudgeTone would be good, but then I've read so many
people complaining about them, and some
