FWD and IAX2
Hi,
I had a FWD account set up with asterisk (using SIP) and it was working
fine both ways. I switched to IAX2 and now I can't get incoming calls
from FWD. People who call my FWD number get a "480 - user is not online"
message without any traffic reaching my box. I can call FWD numbers fine
over IAX2.
It seems fwd isn't trying to place the call over IAX2 because it thinks

Testing UK emergency dialing and LCR.
Hiyall.
Just wondering how people test your emergency dialing in the UK.
Obviously you need to dial the 999 for emergency services, but am a bit
unsure if this would go down too well with the operator with a 'sorry
just testing' call. (you do all /test/ your emergency dialing dont
you!?:-) )

As another thing, what is the correct method when using least cost
routing... If you have a

IAX2 and FWD problems?
Hi,
I'm slowly getting to grips with *. My next quest is to get IAX2/FWD
calls working.
I've setup a fwd account and added IAX capability to it via the website.
I got the email saying it had been done with some welcome text and sample
phone numbers to try, such as 10001 for the answer phone.
I followed the setup example on the fwd site for configuring * to work
with fwd's IAX.

Receiving Calls from FWD Network using IAX2
Hello,

I am trying to setup my Asterisk box to accept calls from the FWD network.
I've followed all the config advice / samples I've found on the web.

Making calls to devices on the FWD network from my Asterisk box works
flawlessly, but whenever I try to call my Asterisk box from a FWD client I
get a busy signal, and a "Call Disconnected" 486 error.
What's odd is that I

IAX2 and FWD - Wrong context?
Greets all,
I'm setting up asterisk and trying to get IAX2 running for FWD. I followed
the FWD IAX2 page verbatim but I get the following error.
May 14 08:09:31 WARNING[7569]: chan_iax2.c:5569 socket_read: Call rejected
by 65.39.205.121: No such context/extension
The rsa key is in, that's the only error I'm seeing when I try calling out
with this. I haven't tried inbound yet.

IAX2 doesn't respect bindaddr?
I'm running CVS HEAD. The last time I updated was January 7th, at
which time everything was fine. Having updated again today, January
17th, I'm having problems with IAX2. I use the "bindaddr" directive
for both SIP and IAX2, and while SIP respects it, IAX2 doesn't. It
listens on every interface, and uses every one of them for outgoing
source addresses. This breaks IAX2

Asterisk/iaxclient IAX2 source port
All,
I have a simple question and a complicated reason for asking:
Is it possible to change asterisk's source port for outbound IAX2
connections?
I've tried using "sourceaddress" to no avail. I can set it to:
proper.ip.of.box:4569
or
0.0.0.0:4569
and it works as expected. But if I try to set it to:
proper.ip.of.box:5000
or
0.0.0.0:5000
it fails around line 8536 in

IAX2, can't receive calls
I have IAX2 (FWD) partially working. I can place calls from my
Asterisk box but I cam unable to receive them (comes back as
busy). I have my firewall forwarding the udp ports 5060, 4569,
5036 and 10000 thru 20000 to my asterisk server. I think I have
the firewall correctly setup as I can forward other services to
their appropriate servers. I have no mail box on the one account

*@home 1.0 FWD inbound problems, 2 calls generated
Hi ALL
Have installed asterisk@home 1.0
On FWD DID's, appears that 2 calls are generated to the inbound extention. I
have confirmed this on a number of friends boxes also. Does anyone have a fix
for this ? I set the DID simply to a custom context and it did the same...
Anyone have a way to fix this ?
Here is the output......

IAX2 sniffer and player
Hi all,
I was wondering if there is any IAX2 sniffer and decoder. Wireshark
can decode and play RTP streams using G.711, and Cain & Abel decodes
and plays any kind of RTP stream. But I didn't find anyone that can
decode IAX2 streams.
Any programs??

RC1 problem? (Conversation over two IAX2 streams = nasty, gappy audio) (fwd)
Hi,
With reference to Andrew Kohlsmith's problem with calls over IAX2 going
dead after 1minute 5 seconds:
This is caused by a bug in the "optimized bridging" code in chan_iax2.c
interacting badly with the IAX2 jitter buffer.
This problem only affect calls where:
1) There are 2 or more servers doing optimised bridging between the
end-points of the call.
ie a call like A-end

[Fwd: Asterisk to Asterisk via IAX2 Help]
Hi,
I have two asterisk machines, chomper and otao.
otao is otao.ieworks.net, has a public IP address (66.101.11.61), but no
PSTN connections.
chomper is at my house, connected to cable modem behind NAT, but has a single X100P PSTN connection.
I would like to establish two way calling between otao and chomper.
Right now, I can call my extension on otao (2101) from my x-lite
