I am having trouble with chan_zap.so not loading. When I load it from modules.conf, Asterisk bails out without any error message. When I load it from the console, it just says "Unable to load module chan_zap.so" no matter what verbose level I am using. dmesg says: Zaptel Version: 1.4.4 Zaptel Echo Canceller: MG2 Freshmaker version: 73 Freshmaker passed register test Module 0:

Hi - I just got an A200 card with 1 FXO and 1 FXS module. Sadly, I can't make it work- currently, asterisk will not startup because of a bad module. Below are some log files/config files. If anyone has any suggestions, I'd appreciate it. I used Trixbox 2.0 and followed instructions on (http:// sangoma.editme.com/wanpipe-linux-asterisk-atHome) - no problems running through or

Modem Calls
My office is investigating using an Asterisk PBX and also going to a VOIP provider for our main phone connections, but one of the tricky things is that we need to have outbound and inbound modem calls (fax too). I see a lot of talk about faxes but no mention of modems on this list. I get the impression that modems will be a problem for us. Is that true?

Zaptel modules load, but Asterisk fails at startup
I'm running Asterisk on a Gentoo box with the Zaptel 1.2.1 drivers. If I boot the machine without having the wcfxs module autoload, then install the module with modprobe, asterisk works just fine. bristuff-0.2.0-RC8n problems and kernel panic
Hi list! On a newly installed RHEL 4 box I'm trying to install bristuff-0.2.0-RC8n. Everything did compile but I am running into some problems with the zaphfc driver. First of all when I load zaphfc *before* zaptel (yes I know I shouldn't do that) I get a kernel panic and the box hangs. Not so nice, especially when you are trying to fix stuff from remote locations. But ok. Now for
