Re: Re: Re: Confused of London - How to associate zapchannels to extensions
----- Original Message ----- <snip> > That's what I was afraid of - we have more extensions than channels ... the number of extensions isn't the issue. it is the signal the meridian broadcasts when your digital telephone on your desk is on/off hook, or ringing or whatever. if you could tap into that information and monitor it with something similar to *'s manager interface

Confused of London - How to associate zap channels to extensions
I was playing around with the Flash Operator Panel, and came smack into a brick wall. We have a * box linked to a legacy Meridian System using a EuroIDSN link (TE405p) with 10 channels enabled. I also have several SIP extensions. What I wanted to do was to have a button for each of our (say) 32 users, 5 of which are on SIP. That leaves the other 27 on Zap. A potential of 27 users on 10

Nortel Meridian-1 Line Side E1
Anyone has the settings to connect a TE405 to Meridian-1 line side E1? I saw T1 on the voip-info.org, but no E1. Is Nortel's E1 a variant of MFC/R2?

I've googled / voip-info'd / searched until my eyes are blurry, but couldn't see the info I was looking for. I've turned here for help! RE: Asterisk with Meridian1 option11 in the UK
Hi, The PBX recives alarms from the TE110p card and are mainly pointing at frame errors and Loss of signal. Asterisk is configured as Zapata.conf signalling=pri_cpe switchtype=national rxwink=250 channel => 1-15,17-31 Zaptel.conf .... This is what I need to know - the SPAN is currently set to E3 - does anyone know what I need to use for a E1 ? span=1,1,0,esf,b8zs bchan=1-15,17-31 # set this

Bridging of PRI calls
Hello ! I 've some questions how bridging of ISDN calls is done. Assume an asterisk system with a TE405 card equipped. (PRI1 - PRI4) An incoming ISDN call on PRI1 is transfered back to PRI3. Unless there is DTMF detection or other things involved, the bridging is done without Asterisk. Does this card have a some sort of cross connection ? Does the PCM leave the card ? Or is there some DMA

Native TDM Bridge
I have a two port TE205P Digium card. I have set everything up to create a native zap bridge between the two spans. Everything works perfectly except one thing. Our telco has a "password" that has to be entered as soon as a long distance call is made. So if I dial a long distance call from my meridian system, asterisk bridges the call between two channels, my telco picks up and gives

Nasty little incident ...
We have a te410p, with the following connections: span 1 connected to a 32 Channel EuroISDN span 2 connected to a card in a legacy pbx (Meridian) span 3 connected to a 10 Channel EuroISDN span 4 connected to a card in a legacy pbx (Meridian) We have no need for the meridian now, and decided to turn it off. I did not change the zaptel.conf settings, nor the zapata.conf settings. When the

SOLVED: Digium TE405 card and Matra PBX
Hello asterisk-users, I have solved interconnection between Digium TE405 and Matra PBX. I plug this card to another computer and with the same configuration parameters card now works without problem. First server has 2xPIII/1GHz and 256MB of RAM, Adaptec SCSI adapter and SCSI system disk. I don't know now, what chipset it was, but mainboard was from Supermicro, then I pretend Intel chipset.

Meridian case
Hi there, I have a *really* weird issue with rspec on rails: Given a time meridian formatted using %p When I run `rake spec` the time meridian is converted to lower case: expected: "Today 08:00 PM", got: "Today 08:00 pm" Yet when I run `rake spec:models` and `spec -cfs app/models` the specs pass, ie the the time meridian is in upper case. Anyone got any ideas how I

Haven't got a clue ...
On how to even search for this "feature" as I have no idea on what it can be. I've got a meridian linked to * (by EuroISDN) which is linked to a ISDN30. I can make calls from the meridian, and receive calls into the meridian. Great stuff. However, if someone dials an invalid number, then instead of hearing a "three tone", the line just drops and goes dead. The console

Meridian 808 Function
Hi, Some time ago, there was a discussion about the inability of nortel meridian pbx to dial analog tones thru an meridian ATA, and the work arround was to enable 808 function that makes the dtmf tones long for the current call. The nortel meridian is connected via a nortel ATA to a TDM400 to a FXO port. Anyone can say me who to actually use that function (you dial something or is pbx

x101p + Nortel ATA2
Hi, Does anyone have any experience connecting Asterisk to a Meridian system using an ATA2 and x101p? The basics work -- I can make outbound calls, receive inbound, and use flash to transfer calls, but certain things do not work, specifically with calls from internal extensions. - Does the Meridian/ATA2 pass any kind of callerid info? We do not have external callerid, but I'm not even

How to pay for libpri development
Can someone advise on how to go about finding someone QUALIFIED to make changes to libpri? We have a pilot stuck on hold, due to old buggy PRI software on a meridian PBX. Upgrading the meridian software is not an option, so....we would like to have libpri changed to compensate for the bug. Is this a digium only type fix? I've called digium support but they only offer support for their

Using Asterisk as Voicemail Server on a dinosaur Meridian System
We have a dinosaur Meridian system (~version 2) with 4 digital lines going to a Repartee Voicemail server. The Repartee got smoked by lightning two days ago and I'm itching to get Asterisk installed in its place. PRI is not an option since the system is so old that it doesn't even support PRI. I need to figure out how to connect the old Meridian to Asterisk otherwise. Any advice on
