Leading '0's and what do 'pri_dialplan', 'pridialplan' and 'prilocaldialplan' in zapata.conf do?
Hi all, I've been batting my head against a brick wall for the best part of the day and still haven't got any further (apart from getting a big headache, that is). I've searched the Wiki and Googled the hours away, but I still can't find supportive documentation. I've just replaced my ISDN Fritz!/chan_capi setup with a HFC/Zap configuration and had the following problems: 1

But, when 'make load' the whole machine will freeze. Anyone had the same problem and managed to solve it? I'm using a Billion HFC PCI card on Trustix 2.0 running kernel 2.4.26. As a side note, I feel that

bristuff'ed version doesn't run
Hi everybody! I've managed to compile the bristuff patch on asterisk from Junghanns.net. I want to run this on the quadBRI card built into the PC. Sound deformation during conversation or IVR message
Hi, We have a working asterisk with 1 E1 and a TE405P. During conversation, when one side is speaking, the other hears sometimes (every 5 to 20 seconds, it is random) a little deformation of the voice/sound. It sounds like "scricth" and not during more than 0.5 seconds. We have exactly the same problem when asterisk give messages to caller by an IVR. No need to be lot of

Extract subsets of different and unknown lengths from huge dataset
Dear prospective reader, I apologize for posting my problem but I've just no idea how to go on by processing this huge (over 70 MB) dataset. Thank you in advance for any help or comment! I do appreciate it! My textfile contains 1 column of interest (numbers/values only). The overall issue is to extract 'events', starting points of which are defined by at least 24 preceding values

gsub() on Matrix
Hi, Suppose I've got a matrix, and the first few elements look like "x1 + x3 + x4 + x5 + x1:x3 + x1:x4" "x1 + x2 + x3 + x5 + x1:x2 + x1:x5" "x1 + x3 + x4 + x5 + x1:x3 + x1:x5" and so on (have got terms from x1 ~ x14). If I want to replace all the x1 with i7, all x2 with i14, all x3 with i13, for example. Is there an easy way? I tried to put what I want

Crossed lines - a worrying problem.
Hi all, I have just received the following e-mail from an Asterisk user: "I just made a call via BT to a mobile. Then an incoming call came in and Ann else answered it - it made my call go completely fuzzy and I could hear what the woman on the other line was saying to Ann but I couldn't hear my conversation! When Ann's call finished - mine went even fuzzier and all I could hear

weights vs. offset (negative binomial regression)
[Please keep r-help in the cc: list] I don't quite know how to interpret the difference between specifying effort as an offset vs. as weights; I would have to spend more time thinking about it/working through it than I have available at the moment. I don't know that specifying effort as weights is *wrong*, but I don't know that it's right or what it is doing: if I were

speed up merge
Hello, I have a nasty loop that I have to do 11877 times. The only thing that slows it down really is this merge: xx1 = merge(dt,ua_rd,by.x=1,by.y= 'rt_date',all.x=T) Any ideas on how to speed it up? The output can't change materially (it works), but I'd like it to go faster. I'm looking at getting around the loop (not shown), but I'm trying to speed up the merge first.
