snom reporting busy when it shouldn't - Email found in subject
Check the Redirection on the web interface of your Snom 200. If it says "When Busy" that's your problem. It should say "Never". Also make sure on Sip->Lines your line appearance says "All" or else you will have the same problem. Hope this helps :) Greg Gregory P. Hi, in the Snom FAQ I found the following information: After staring up, the phone tries the URL given in the "Setting URL" of the phone. ... BTW this setting can also be set via DHCP. .... option tftp-server-name "http://192.168.0.9/snom200{mac}.htm" The documents used: FAQ-04-06-14-sf.pdf "Setting up DHCP for snom phones" FAQ-04-03-24-sf.pdf "How can I

Snom Programmable button Mini Howto and ring state patch
The snom 200 and 220 have five programmable buttons. Each button has a led that can be used to indecate if an extension is idle, in use, or ringing. A button pannel for the 220 is also comming out soon that will have 20'ish programmable buttons on board. This is a killer app for any company that has receptionists handle calls, and pretty usefull for everyone else. As a matter of fact,

distinctive ring on SNOM 200
Hi, I'm trying to set up my SNOM 200 with extensions, with different ringtones - but it doesn't seem to work. I've defined two extensions for it in Asterisk and in the SNOM 200 configuration. In the SNOM home>settings>SIP>Lines config page, I have set the ringer for the first extension to "ringer1", and "ringer6" for the second. In

SIP phone behind NAT
Hi all, -------- I have a Asterisk at a public Network (official IP address). In the local network I have isntalled a Snom 200 IP phone and in my home network (behind NAT) a Snom 100 device. I can dial the Snom200 device from my home location without any problems but the Snom200 can not dial me. It always gets a "we do not rely". I tried to forward the SIP Port (5060) UDP via UPnP

Snom Programmable button Mini Howto and ringstate patch
It's very possible that the Polycom IP600 will work with this. As it is just an implementation of a SIP standard for subscribing to the state of other extensions. As for the feature improvements you might see them from me, but not very likely. It is easier for me to train my customers to hit *8 (I will probably just program a pickup button for them) than it is for me to figure out what I

Snom phones?
Hi, everyone: I'm in the processing of deciding what IP phones we should use with our Asterisk server, and I wanted to get feedback from the user community on the quality, reliability and ease of operation of Snom phones. What do you have to say about these phones? Are there other phones you'd suggest along with or instead of Snom? Thanks, -Stephen-

Snom 200 phones not working.
I have 2 Snom 200 and would like to get them to work properly with Asterisk. With the Firmware 2.02t I am able to use the phone. But only one line configured. With there newer firmware 2.03o it will not allow me to make calls. But I can get calls on the unit. Again the 2nd line is not able to be registered. Is this an issue with Asterisk or Snom? I could use some example configuration

SNOM 200 can't conference.
Hello, Does anyone know how to conference a call on the SNOM 200 phone? Whenever I push the cnf/tran button it just hangs up on the active call. The manual says you have to push the cnf function key but it doesn't appear in the lcd on my phone. Thanks -Matt -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... URL:

[SPAM HEADER] - Re: Snom or Cisco Phones? - Email found in subject
I concur with Conrad. Cisco phones were retrofitted for SIP, whereas Snom phone are built around, and expressly for, the SIP standard. To be in compliance with Cisco regs, you are also supposed to have a SIP User license and a Smartnet contract for each phone if you abide by their program. I realize it is not difficult to obtain the SIP firmware, but if you were dealing with a Cisco authorized

Snom 360 Phones - Administrator/User Feedback
I'm looking for some feedback on the Snom 360 phone. After deploying six of them to an office, I'm not as enthusiastic about them as I was when I was testing one before the deployment. The firmware seems to be consistently buggy, some of its problems are intermittent which makes it frustrating to troubleshoot and the support from Snom is lackluster to say the least. I find myself favoring

echo in Snom 360 phones
Hi all, One of my users reports frequently hearing echo on her Snom 360 phone, even while talking to other Snom phones (via Asterisk) on the same LAN (i.e., all-digital low-latency connection). I can never reproduce it though, and swapping the phone didn't help. Has anyone else seen "mystery echo" on Snom phones? Any suggestions for debugging? On my own Snom 360, I sometimes

But now I have to decied wheather to get the 100 or 200 and if its the 200 then I need to have some justification for the extra cost.. Can someone who knows these 2 phones tell me what the
