queue_log question: which endpoint was connected?
Hello list,
as I'm writing a little perl parser for queue_log analysis, I'd like to
know *which* telephone answered a specific queue call. Unfortunately
app_queue only logs the call id but does not log the call end point. This
is okay for SIP endpoints, because their call id is something like
SIP/endpointname-1234 so you can reasonably understand who was on
answering, but for

asterisk based bbs
hello list,
I was wondering: anybody ever wrote an asterisk based bbs? not a bbs about
asterisk, but a vocal bbs that runs on asterisk, so that people can call,
hear the discussion of the day, leave messages, etc.
it seems a rather basic application to me though I cannot find much about.
thanks

queue stats
Hello all,
I need to write a queue_log parser that is going to implement more or less
the functionalities described here
http://lists.digium.com/pipermail/asterisk-users/2003-July/014965.html
of course not everything from scratch, but this is where I'd like it to go.
I am looking for
- previous work (maybe it's ready somewhere and I've never heard of it)
- suggestions

ZyXEL P2000W - working conf example
(I posted this note on
http://www.voip-info.org/wiki-ZyXEL+P2000W+configuration too)
I tried to put together comments that were asked for on the P2000W.
These configs seem to work fine for a ZyXEL P2000W, thanks to Giles Scott
for getting me started with it.
DTMF keys work fine and are "read" correctly by Asterisk.
It's important that you upgrade your phone to a modern version

xc-ast public beta
Hello list,
I promised to let you know whent XC-AST, the Asterisk queue_log analyzer
I'm writing, would be available as a public beta version. Well, here it is!
You can download the tarball from http://demo.xcept.it/xc-ast
I *strongly* recommend to subscribe to a mailing list I'm running to get
help and comment on the installation and use. It is not yet so well
polished so I expect

non blind call transfers
Hello list,
I was looking for a way to implement non-blind call transfers with *, i.e.
the usual behaviour of most PBXs when pressing the flash button:
- A and B are talking
- A pushes flash
- A is free to compose a new number
- B hears music on hold
- A's call is answered by C
- A hangs up
- B and C are in conversation
As much as I can understand, * only supports blind transfers, where if

Hi,
Anyone have any experience with either of these, I 'd appreciate some
feedback? Plus it seems pretty easy to steal a connection with this.

Swissv oice IP10 behind NAT
Hi,
Is there a way to use swissvoice IP10 in MGCP mode behind NAT. I already
use this fonctionnality with a PBX other then asterisk, and it work very
well.
In fact, I need to use this settings in the IP10 telnet session
set xgcp rgw_name MAC_ADDR
set tcid 0 notify_entity ca@[@IP PBX]:2427
In fact, the phone register with the MAC@ and not with the IP@, and the
PBX reply the phone in the UDP or

installation problem
Hi, I am having a problem installing wine on a mandrake 9.1 system with
glibc 2.3.2 -3mdk. I get this segmentation fault when installing. It looks
to me that it is directx that is the problem which to be honest i am quite
happy to live without. If nobody can suggest a remedy for the fault below
then if i could disable directx compilation that would be Ok as well. i am
using some cflags for

software phones for Asterisk - is there a list?
Hello,
Is there a list of software phones which will work with Asterisk?
For Linux and Windows?
I don't have any hardware yet, and before I buy anything I would like to
know how Asterisk really works (with software "phones" for example).

R loosing history
Hello,
Im running R 1.8.1 on Win2000 and frequently using the function history()
to keep track of what I did in my R session.
In a recent session I typed history(max=Inf) and to my surprise there were
only 15 lines of code where there should have been approx. 300 lines and I
lost a lot of valuable work.
Do you have any idea what caused this behaviour? help(history) didn't make

why user nobody
Hello,
today i deleted the user "nobody" (entry
"nobody:x:99:99:Nobody:/:/sbin/nologin" in /etc/passwd) on my samba-server.
As result, no user could log in to domain anymore.
Does anybody know, what the user "nobody" plays for a role in samba?

SQUID + tc problems
I''m trying to limit bandwidth consumption of sites hosted behind a squid
working as a reverse transparent proxy (squid 2.5.3 with Patrick McHardy
tcp_outgoing_priority patch) but with traffic levels for a given site of
1Mbps, only about 1% of the traffic shows up in a tc -s -d.
Anyone has experience working with this setup ? is there any alternative
or special consideration when

Agent Queue, Silent Calls Problem
I have an issue with silent calls when an agent gets a call from the queue
What happens is
- The system dials a call (agent call)
- The caller picks up
- Asterisk sees the person picked up
- Transfered to an agent
- Agents phone automaticly picks up (sjphone auto accept on)
-The user hears nothing says "Hello, Hello, Hello ???"
- Asterisk sees agent as 'Available'
