* and Fax
Hi, I think this is one area that needs to be developed. I am curently implementing a system for my home so cannot really justify the cost of financially supporting the development of this when all I really need to do is buy a telephone extension lead for my existing fax modem!!! I am more than willing to devote some testing/documentation time (I am not really a programmer) if that helps.

Mitel 5010 +5220
I know this is not strictly an asterisk issue but it is related I guess. Just to let you know that after many calls to Mitel the consensus is that they will be releasing a new version of the 5220 that is dual boot (minet and SIP) next week or the week after. This firmware will only appear on NEW phones manufactured after the release date (no one could confirm but the 23rd of sept was

Asterisk, Hylafax and T38Modem - help!
Hi All, I know that this may not strictly be an asterisk issue, but if anyone has any ideas on this prob it would be appreciated. I have a working asterisk setup using Suse 9.1, a BT ISDN BRI card (Fritz?), sipura 3000 and a few cisco 7940's. I wanted to do add faxing into the equation, so I thought I would try and setup the following: PSTN->asterisk->hylafax->pc At the moment

Cisco 7940 - SCCP or SIP?
Hi All I have recently downloaded Asterisk and was so impressed I thought I would setup a home server and I went out and got myself a couple of cisco 7940's. (and a sipaura 3000!). thanks to various posts on this list and the voip-info site I have managed to get chan_sccp setup and working with the 7940's but the I tried to get the messages, services and softkeys working. It seems

Re: [Asterisk-Dev] Softphone for PocketPC or iPaq
I have tried sjphone - worked well, although I think my 3 year old IPAQ had a bit of a hard time keeping up with the pace as there was quite a delay in the speech. Probably says more about my ancient IPAQ than SJPhone. Asterisk, Zaptel and Legacy Phones?
Hi all, Has anyone had any experience getting asterisk to work with legacy phones? I have been trying to get some of our exisiting Plessey PKS2 (Masterline) Keystation phones to work with asterisk. They are 4 wire extensions (2 for voice and 2 for data) I have connected a test phone to the asterisk server via a digium 400tdm and it kinda works in that if I lift the receiver I hear dialtone

Mitel 5010
Does anyone know if this phone can or does work with Asterisk ? I have a potential client who wants to throw away their current mitel ip system (keeps crashing on a regular basis - not good for a phone-based company), but are reluctant to purchase new handsets. Thanks. Julian.

Spatstat users.
This is a cry for help. My apologies for taking up bandwidth with an issue that is not really on topic. But I really do want to acquire the requested information. In the course of preparing my PBRF (performance based research funds) portfolio for the upcoming PBRF exercise here in New Zealand, I have been advised that I should provide some estimate of the number of "active users" of

[RFC] Semi-Automatic clang-format of files with low frequency
The flang sub-project is supposed to be fully formatted so it wouldn’t be hard to get to 100% for a test like this and we would be happy to participate. We were at 100% at one point but there are about 10 files that need formatting now, in part because of changes to clang-format. It would be good to get early warning of clang-format changes like that. Let me know if there is anything I can do to

OT: BRI ISDN question
I am going to try and use a passive AVM fritz BRI card for my * setup.. Here is the thing.. I need to order my BRI from BT.. The service that looks to be the one to use is what they call ISDN 2e becasue this has the option to setup hunt groups across multiple ISDN2e lines so I could add another line later to get 4 channels.. According to the BT website in order to use the hunt grouping across

Basic ISDN Access
Hi All, Here at my office we have two basic ISDN Access with two phone lines each. We would like to install an Asterisk PBX. The question is: How can I connect the ISDN lines to Asterisk? Is it possible to connect to a DIGIUM Wildcard TE410P card? Or this E1 card is only for PRI access? Any other suggested and tested hardware for a production box? Let me know, -Z --

GSM phones, bluetooth and general happiness
When I installed my first home-PBX three years ago, I was looking at "cellsockets" -- devices which will accept certain cellular phones and provide an RJ11 jack, generating the ring-voltage and recognizing DTMF, which in turn makes your cell-phone look like a CO line. Pretty cool stuff, in theory, but it just didn't seem to be worth the cost, especially since it locks you to a

Cisco 7940 SIP
Has anyone else had issues with upgrading from SIP 2.2 to SIP 4.4 on the Cisco 7940? I'm following the directions outlined by Cisco. Is there a trick that I'm missing? Clues welcome.

Seeking advice about ISDN BRI Cards
> Thank you all for valuable input, > > another question: when do I actually need the echo cancellation > (hardware / on board /on module ) ? > It depends on your environment. If there are still analog devices in addition to VoIP, I'd say always, but Asterisk has a rudimentary echo canceller already on board. The Telcos use echo cancellers themselves, but it cannot hurt to

Why PRI not BRI ?
Hi List, I have stupid question but I want to know it. Why we use the PRI insted of BRI ? Just for the sake of number of lines or any thing else ? And why SIP is used for making calls rather then IAX? Even we know IAX takes 1 channel for making calls? ----- Thanks and regards Virendra Bhati +91-9172341457 Asterisk Reader -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was

DCOM98.DLL & DLLOVERRIDES for 0.9 ?
Hi. I only had wine 20041019 on an FC2 install Had to run winesetuptk to get a config file, and also thanks to Franks Corner installed DCOM98 and ran the DLLOVERRIDES stuff. I've now DL'd version 0.9-1 for FC1,2, and 3, also on Debian with aptitude. Right. I've installed the .rpm on FC2. Set the windows version to win98 in winecfg, and that is also set as default to use Alsa. I
