I am making some changes to the dial plan at the request of the company
president and have run into some problems. I have a couple of layers of

Here is how it should work (sorry for the crappy diagram)

Cannot leave voicemail, Asterisk/Zaptel/libpi v1.0.9
Hi,
I'm running two boxes side by side, identical specs and setup but with differing
dialplans. Both are on ast/zap/libpri versions 1.0.9. Both boxes share the same
folder for voicemail, exported via NFS from another file server.
Everything was working fine for an extended period of time, until just recently
when someone rebooted Box A. Now when I dial an extension associated with a SIP

voicemail sending blank .WAV file via email
I've recently installed asterisk and am working with the email a voicemail
function. When a voice msg is left 4 files are created in the /var/spool.
directory. They are .gsm, .txt, .wav and .WAV. The .wav (lower case) has
the actual audio in it, the .WAV is a short blank audio file. When * emails
the message it is sending the .WAV and not the .wav file. Any thoughts
would be appreciated.

Disappearing voicemail
Asterisk 1.2, Fedora Core 4:
When I leave a voicemail message, it writes the necessary files to the INBOX:
msg0000.gsm
msg0000.txt
msg0000.wav
msg0000.WAV
When I hang up, the files are erased. There is no indication of anything
untoward in the logs:
-- x=0, open writing: [...]/INBOX/msg0000 format: wav49, 0x99ce778
-- x=1, open writing: [...]/INBOX/msg0000 format:

Voicemail to email file sizes
I am wondering what is the best way to send the smallest files with the vm to
emai l integration? I am not sure what order the three lines of the format
command take, so I have just tried trial and error swapping. I think when set to
"gsm" I get the smallest sizes. I can get my Windows Media player to play at
least part of the file (get missing codec message from Realplayer), but get a

No format for saving voicemail?

I just came accross this problem, and I am a bit stumped. I am using Asterisk 1.4.23.1 and am using Asterisk Realtime Static for voicemail. Hi,
In voicemail.conf.sample, you can read this:

Voicemail Password crashing
I am currently having issues when trying to change my password in
Voicemail. I am not utilizing realtime because I believe there is a
problem with MWI being sent to phones and realtime databases (this may
have changed since I last used Asterisk).
Whenever I try to change the password for the account, the asterisk
program gives a Sig fault (signal 11). I do see the
