Transfers on the Cisco 7960
I noticed that there is a soft button for transfer when you initiate a call. I pressed it, and it actually put the call on hold, although I was able to call another extension. Is that soft button functional? And if so, how do you make use of it? And if not, how does one transfer a call? Kim C. Music-on-Hold radio input?
Is there a way to get Music-on-Hold to use the Line input of the soundcard instead of playing MP3s? Some potential clients like the music-on-hold to be the local radio station, or from a satellite broadcast. Thanks!

iaxtel and jitterbuffer
I am trying to work out IAX <--> IAX communications with my * box. I have a registration with iaxtel and I thought I would start there for my learning. I am able to call the number for Digium's support line (700-428-6000), but the sound is horribly chopping. Some reading revealed the jitterbuffer settings, so I enabled them in iax.conf. I have the following now: ; Inter-Asterisk

Small CDR Billing Program
Hi Guys I am just looking around for a small billing program but can't really find what I am looking for. It needs to bill straight off the CDR. It should grab all the CDR records from the asteriskcdrdb mysql database then have a rates table to that it calculate a bill from. Is there any open source packages or commercial packages that will account for billing say only 5 extensions?

Can't start Wine after suspend on Laptop
Currently running Wine 1.2-rc2 on Ubuntu 10.04 x64 on a Lenovo ThinkPad x61. After doing a suspend, I can't run Wine. The app I normally run with Wine is Lotus Notes. But I've tried something as simple as going in to the wine config. I tried doing a wineserver -k but that doesn't help either. Only thing I found to work is a full reboot. This has actually been happening since Ubuntu

CDR and Billing Issue
Hi Guys, I am having an issue that I have been able to replicate and I want to know if anyone else has this. Extension 100 dials an external number. He speaks for 5 minutes and then transfers the call to extension 200. Extension 200 speaks for 1 hour. When we go through the call logs we see the five minute call to the external number from extension 100. We then see a call from extension 100 to

Billing/SPA-841/CDR Log
Hi list, I have a couple of questions related to asterisk billing and the generation of cdr logs. I've searched the wiki but have not found my answers, hopefully you guys can help. 1) When are asterisk CDR logs _normally_ generated? When the call arrives, when the call hangs up, or both? I have looked at the records created and it seems to only generate it at the time the call is

Linux Based Billing and CDR
Hi All, Do you'll have any recommendations on a Linux based Customer Management and Pre-paid Billing system for Asterisk, Freeswitch or Kamalio? The system should also allow customers to register, login, buy more credit, view call records, etc. Commercial or Open-source are ok as long as they run on Linux. Thanks, A. -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...

deliver and cloning file permissions
Hi! I'd like to use deliver (dovecot-1.2.10) as LDA to deliver mails to my local users on my postfix-system. However, deliver tries to copy the filesystem permissions of the mail-spool-files to the user's index files, which doesn't work, since the files in /var/mail/ belong to the group 'mail'.
