Cannot transfer after queue agent picks up c all
I had the same problem with snom 190 phones. Using the transfer with # instead of "Transfer Button on the phone" worked for me. In my configuration "REFER" was not send, so the transfer with the button on the phone did not work. Portable R in zip file for Windows
>From the R Studio downloads, look below the installers. This is off topic however. If there is no zipped, no exe, no installation required of R, then I thank you very much for your help and trolling. (BTW, I think my question was pretty clear, concise and specific, I appreciate that some of you tried to solve a problem related to what I have, but I have already reviewed all options, and what

asterisk-update script
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hi, Here's a version I modified which grabs either a development or stable verision, and does a backup before updating from CVS. It also asks for addon's and cc. Leif Madsen did the original development and Mark released it. My changes does the minimum changes to previous version, to get what I need. It does the same version checking as

Inbound IAX2 calls has no music on hold
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hmm, My music on hold has always worked fine. But I discovered that under incoming IAX2 calls they don't get any MOH! All I could find was a comment saying let me know if you find a solution... Nor does the debugger does say: Started music on hold So it's not starting the MOH, why? I do have it configured and it does play under other

Cannot transfer after queue agent picks up call
I have not been able to find anything that relates to this problem. The agents are using Cisco phones. Calls goes into a queue. but once an agent picks it up it cannot be transferred. However if they call directly to the agents extension it's not a problem transferring calls. It sounds like a misconfiguration but I cannot see what's wrong. Any takers? -- Steve Szmidt "They

LiveVoip is Bankrupt - Why this thread
I agree with that fact the same questions get posted, but that problem is compounded by the fact the archives are not really searchable. If the were as lease some users would search. The archives need to be fully indexed. -----Original Message----- From: asterisk-users-bounces@lists.digium.com [mailto:asterisk-users-bounces@lists.digium.com] On Behalf Of steve szmidt Sent: Monday, June 27, 2005

Adding voice mail box
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hi, I've forgotten the command to add a vm box, and searching google and wiki I'm surpriced I cannot find it. VoIP experiences with Cable and DSL
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hi, A thought occurred to me; Background; In the early days of cable, the cable people seemed clueless to things like over selling bandwidth. But as time went along they got it better and better under control. Of course their natural competitor, DSL, created a bigger demand for them to get things under control. Today cable is often giving

Mailing to the list
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hi, A friendly reminder; Many people have email software which is thread capable. This means that email is sorted according to an email header, not the subject line. When you press reply to an email it is then added to the thread of that email, even if you type in a new subject. Thus we end up with multiple "threads" in some threads.

list Searchability
Great points Steve. I think the best we can do is all throw the newbies a bone ounce in a while. Redirection to the content that is relevant is enough to get most people on the path. Like you said, the hardest part is not seeing the trees for the forest. This is the whole "teach a man to fish" parable. It is pretty easy to tell someone A) How to search and where to look B) The

Correct way to update Asterisk
Pardon the newbie post. I installed Asterisk on a "test" system using the Asterisk@home cd image. When you boot from Asterisk@home is installs an O/S and Asterisk on your PC. How cool is that. But I was wondering if someone could point me in the right direction for updating the version that I have. I'm new to CVS, how do I determine what version to build? Is there a primer on how to

Sip dialback
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 I know I'm missing something obvious, but I cannot wrap my wits around this one. I've been staring at it for too long I think. Maybe it's the three am syndrom! : ) So a call comes in and my snom ends up with this entry: CALLER NAME <sip:1231231234@server.ip> under missed calls, or whatever. Now I want to just click OK and

- New Security List -
I wanted to let everyone know that we have a new security list covering, Security, of all things. You can sign up at: http://lists.digium.com/mailman/listinfo/asterisk-security The idea here is to have a less busy list for security issues, as the -users is hard to keep up with already. Fortunately there's already data known about security and Asterisk. My interest is in being able to

[LLVMdev] Generating executable by llc.
is it possible in llvm infrastructure to integrate an actual linker with llc? rather than using the native linker. Can it be done by adding a Module pass? How difficult it would be to read-in and link the traditional COFF/ELF object files with this integrated linker? I am looking to do something like this: a.c, b.c ----> llvm-gcc ---> a.bc, b.bc ---> llvm-link ---> combined.bc ,

Zhone + Digium T1 bug (?)
We were just testing forwarding one of our numbers to a VoIP CLEC and ran into an issue that we've seen before but never figured out the cause of. It seems if you call us and immediately hang up - or if the call is forwarded by Verizon (which stills rings about ? of one time) the Zhone detects the ring and answers the call.. The Zhone however DOESN"T detect that it's no longer

Automated user lockout during certain hours
Hi, I've been through a few places including the book Linux Samba Server Administration and cannot find anything on something that allwos me to deny access during certain hours so that backup can be done safely. One method I thought of was to copy in a new smb.conf with different settings. I figure something better should exist. All servers are running 2.4 kernels and latest samba. --

[PATCH] fish: Add --pipe-error flag to allow detection of errors in pipe commands (RHBZ#803533).
From: "Richard W.M. Jones" <rjones at redhat.com> For a test case, see: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=803533 In guestfish, we use the gnulib closeout module which sets up an atexit handler to detect if there were any errors on stdout when the program exits. This is so we can fail correctly in out of disk space cases like: guestfish [...] > output However the

Status of linux 2.6 support
I'm sure that this question gets asked frequently, but a quick perusal of the list archives shows that it hasn't been asked in a least a month or so, so pardon any repetition. What is the current state of asterisk on linux 2.6? I ask, because I spent yesterday giving it a whirl, and everything seems to go just fine till the very last minute. Zaptel, libpri and asterisk compile just
