Answering Service Agent Auto Login
Hello all, I am building a software based on asterisk to handle incoming answering service calls. I have one problem that I have not been able to figure out a reasonably priced solution to: The goal of this software is to allow the agent to be able to do their entire job from the desktop. The only thing that seems to be a problem is getting the operator (agents) headset logged on to the

Kedpad less extension
Does anyone know of a resource for extensions in which the server (whether asterisk or custom scripts) can trigger the phone to be answered? So for example an operator can have a headset and when a call comes through the call is automatically (through a script) connected to the headset instead of the operator having to manually answer the call. Any responses, help or ideas of a type of supplier

asterisk-users Digest, Vol 73, Issue 5
Hi C F no asterisk and sip device are not behind same router. actually both are in different countries. how ever when caller and callee are behind same routers voice is just fine (both ways) and i can see re-INVITEs too. but when someone calls from another router then this issue arises. caller can hear the called party but called party can not hear caller. and there are no re-invites issued

Re-2: Some questions for chan_capi
Hi! Yes you're right (for windows), but I found this thread http://www.mail-archive.com/asterisk-users@lists.digium.com/msg10695.html and that works! The first card is connected to a normal Telekom NTBA, the second to an internal PBX. There have to be a possibility to configure multiple ISDN cards (e.g. AVM B1 PCI) through capi.conf. How? Or does chan_capi support only one ISDN-Card?

Not sure if this is the best place but does any one have any used IAXy's they are interested in selling? I am looking to pick one up cheap for a proof of concept before going all out on them. Also does any one have any real life practical experience with how well (or not so well) that these devices have worked for them? you can reply to me off list at asterisk@matraex.com Thanks Michael

Headsets for Cisco 7940/7960
What headsets have people found work well with the Cisco 7940 and 7960 phones? To date, I have tried a couple of the headsets within the Plantronics H series (H41-N), and noticed that the volume of my speaking is lower over the headset than on the regular handset. I am currently looking for headsets that are known to work well. I do know that Cisco lists the H-91 and H-101 as certified to

Alpha Paging
I have a need to be able to send faxes and alpha pages from the same box as asterisk is running on. Since asterisk handles all of the calls would I need to get a separate fax modem for this or can I run it through one of the FXO ports? Soes anyone have any example configurations or would any one be able offer consulting services to assist me in setting this up? We have a short timeframe so we

Vocera Communication Badge
Hi there, yesterday I came across the "Vocera Communication Badge" and now I'd like to know if anyone here has played with that thing (or even just seen it in real life), and if a price tag can be found for this device? Too bad they don't use SIP... ;-( http://www.vocera.com/ http://www.heise.de/newsticker/data/tol-25.12.03-001/ Cheers, Philipp ** Wireless Specifications

In search of Headset Compatible Analog Phone
I have been looking for analog phones for my * system that work with our plantronic amplifiers and headsets. The problem I am having with the Aastra phones that I have purchased (PT-390, 9116, 9120, 8009 ), is that they don't seem to stay hung up unless you physically hang up the handset everytime you finish a call. I have even purchased the Aastra 9120 which sais it has on-hook

Echo problem on SPA-841
I'm running the latest firmware on the SPA-841 and have a problem with echo. The echo occurs on all calls (PRI ISDN on a E110p or SIP) and is not present when I use the SNOM190 phones so I can def. isolate it down to the SPA-841s. The codec used is g711u and the phones are on their own dedicated 100mbit switch with no other traffic. The server is a 3Ghz PIV sitting at 99.9% idle all

OT: High Quality Wireless Headset for Cisco IPPhones and *
Tom - here are a few suggestions Plantronics 510SL Bluetooth - they make a bundle that comes with a Bluetooth transceiver and a handset lifter. This is nice if you have users that already have Bluetooth headsets for their mobile phones, as it allows you to sync with their office phone as well. http://www.plantronics.com/north_america/en_US/products/cat29880043/cat2 9880054/prod5460016

SV: USB headsets?
I don't quite follow you? There are USB headsets that don't require a soundcard at all. They have a built in soundcard which (I suppose) could be better than the crap they build into most laptops. Headsets for Polycom Soundpoint 500/600
What headsets have people found work well with the Polycom Soundpoint 500 & 600? If any of the headsets that work with the Polycom's also work the Cisco, that would be an added bonus, but is by no means a requirement. I am not looking for a headset that requires an external amplifier, but rather a headset that can make use of the headset jack on the phone itself.
