Zaphfc and BRI problems in Portugal...
Hi - Anyone using zaphfc cards (bri-stuff-0.0.2) on a Portugal Telecom BRI service? I am getting loads of errors and the audio is very distorted all the time. System is a Dell PIII/933 MHZ with SCSI. Here in the UK we have perfect audio with a Compaq PIII/500 MHZ SCSI system. Files are identical in both systems as below: Is there anything magic about Portuguese ISDN? The PCI bus in the

Updated: Advanced German Configuration
Hi Folks, just updated my current Dialplan available on http://capi4linux.thepenguin.de/download/asterisk/config/ It now heavily uses ODBC database (MySQL) to hold most of the data like extensions and incoming connection numbers. An example databasefile is also included. The denylist has also been updated for future and current settings of the german telecom regulator. Again I added many

Junghans Quad-BRI card and asterisk cvs-head
We're using the Quad-BRI card from Junghanns.NET with corresponding drivers (bristuff 0.0.2). The driver tries to patch asterisk libpri, which fails for current version. Anyone got an idea what'S the latest version of asterisk / libtri usable with the Quad-BRI Card? Thanks, Martin

Advanced access control and cause handling
Hi there, I just finished work on my current PBX dialplan configuration. I didn't find anything compareable yet so I think it might be interesting for someone else too. Short overview: - seperation of the numbers in blocks (just definded) - error/cause handling - advanced access control (even vor ISDN Zap clients) - access levels - denylist with national number blocks (for Germany) -

Current bristuff error report
Hello, I just noticed an error in the current version of Klaus-Peter Junghanns bristuff package, especially in the HFC module. Everytime I try to unload the HFC module with "modprobe -r" I got a kernel panic and the complete server hangs up so I need to do a hard reset. Regards, Julian Pawlowski

HFC-S BRI Slack9.1 kernel 2.6.6 "Guide" bri-stuff.0.0.2
Hi ""noobs"" and others(like me). I've been struggling for hours,days,days,days.... to get my Asterisk work with 2x HFC-S BRI cards. One card for use in NT-mode for connecting my ISDN DECT phone, and one card as gateway to PSTN. Now it'works, and I just want to share some of the experience with others. I'd guess there must be 'Somebody Out There' having

Sorry if I missed the start of the problem but qozap is what you want to use with your Junghanns card (at least if you want to stay with zaptel/libpri). > Everyone always mentions zaphfc -- mostly I >

I have heard the Junghanns do one...but are there others ?? Is the Junghanns card reliable/stable with good sound quality ?? I notice it is very expensive in a per port comparison with the Digium cards.... hence

Quad BRI cards
Hi, I have a couple of questions about Quad-BRI solutions for Asterisk, and was hoping that I might get some feedback based on other people's experience. We currently use the Junghanns card, which is a pure Zaptel solution, which is fantastic, but they have no hardware EC solution, and their drivers are becoming increasingly un-stable with time (I back-port to a modified qozap driver from

Mandrake & CAPI
All, I have been trying to get CAPI4Linux working on my machine and being frank am failing miserably! I am looking for any help available, I am real newbie (so please be gentle) and choose to run Mandrake 9.2 as it appears quite friendly (or so I thought!). I have been following the guidance found at http://www.voip-info.org/wiki-Asterisk+How+to+connect+with+CAPI for the AVM card (actually I

Hi, I'm looking for an interface card for termination of Euro-ISDN2 (BRI) lines. That is ISDN lines from the telco into my Asterisk box. Any recommendations, good/bad expiriences ? At present I'm looking at cards from BeroNet and Junghanns. Cheers, John Faroese Telecom

ISDN PBX + IVR + Voicemail Configuration - Sanity Check ...
Hi All, First of all, please no flames about the footer of this message. It's being inserted into all outgoing email by the server here without asking me personally first once I send out email. Since I've been very interested in setting up an Asterisk PBX + IVR + Voicemail system to support a small business and a foundation for quite some time now, in order to replace their current ISDN

What would you buy ? Thanks in advance, Regards, Rob.

BRI and PRI together possible?
Hi, I plan to setup an * Server with a TE10P PRI card as E1 and a BN4S0 4 Port BRI card in one box. I tried it first with the bristuff drivers from Junghanns. The BRI card worked fine alone, but as soon as I load the zaptel driver for the TE110P the BRI card says, that the port is down. So I tried it with mISDN. But it seems that this stuff is still unstable (Asterisk refuses to start at first

i4l --> capi move - how?
I have * with i4l installed and working - on a dumb eicon card. It seems in order to get DTMF out of the BRI (for business banking - etc) - I should change from i4l drivers to capi drivers. wiki help seems to be for the Fritz card only...??? I have ticked the suggested boxes in 'menuconfig', explored the capi4linux websites - etc... but am missing some magic. I've "modprobe
