Vertical applications?
Has anyone created any vertical applications, e.g. real estate, for
Asterisk?
I'm trying to market * in my area (Seattle) and would like to offer vertical
apps to my customers. These apps will help me compete with the big guys like
Cisco, Avaya, etc.
If you have an app, I'd be interested in discussing how my company
(www.rainiernetworks.com) might license it from you. The app does not

"Asterisk for Small Office Setup"
Don't buy this book for its content. It's a waste of $40. However, it is
useful to wave in front of my customer's faces to show them that Asterisk is
real.

Pre-recorded first and last names audio database
Hi!
My application needs to look up (by spelling) the first and last names of a
person and then insert the corresponding pre-recorded audio file to
personalize the message. E.g. "Hi, John Brown. Your book is due back at the
library." So I need "John" and "Brown" in audio files along with LOTS of
other names -
Do such databases of sound files already exist or do I

*8 problem still there?
I upgraded to the latest stable version of 1.0 today and am still seeing the
*8 problem where the phone that was originally dialed keeps on ringing even
after another phone picks up.
Are other people also seeing this? Has somebody figured out how to make this
go away?
Thanks!

Hangup not detected on X100P
I've configured my [*] to dial the pstn which is working like a charm.
I've also configured an extension to ring when the PSTN line is ringing
which is also working brilliantly, but, sometimes it doesn't detect that the
call has been hungup.
I've had a look on voip-info and checked the conf files but I can't see
anything that I've missed.

problems formulating arguments to lme()
this is a clearer (I hope) version of an earlier post -
My problem is formulating the random = argument to give estimates
of all 9 random components for this kind of setup where there are
(I think) 9 variance/covariance components ...

metafor package: study level variation
Hello. A quick question about incorporating variation due to study in the metafor package. I'm working with a particular data set for meta-analysis where some studies have multiple measurements. Others do not. So, let's say the effect I'm looking at is response to two different kinds of drug treatment - let's call their effect sizes T1 and T2. Some studies have multiple

pb with 4D dicom data and oro.dicom
Hello,
I have the following problem. After a PACS upgrade in our hospital, the dynamic 3D images acquired after contrast media injection with a 3T Philips MRI are all saved in a single 4D file instead of a series of 2D images containing multiple 3D images over time. I used to convert this series of 2D dicom images in the format nfti with oro.dicom. However, I am no longer able to make oro.dicom

two y-axis using ggplot
Dear List Members
As a relatively new R user I am extremely glad for there being a nice
tool such as ggplot for producing easily nice graphs in R. Now I want to
produce graphs with two y-axis. I know that this has been asked a
hundred times with respect to standard plots in R. (The answer, to my
knowledge, has always been "No" or "No, see the help archive".) But: Is

Want to contribute to SAMBA Doc : NT,PDC, Problems, etc...
Hi all,
Like certainly many members of those lists (SAMBA's list), I would like to
contribute to SAMBA project. The main reason is because when you write
something you must absolutely be familiar with the subject. It will give me
oportunity to be (more) familiar with some kinds of SAMBA Spec.
Since I read samba mailling list, many questions are post about SAMBA PDC,
BDC, etc, interaction

RE: Asterisk-Users Digest, Vol 21, Issue 130
Have you thought about making them agents, they would both be reachable by dialing there agent number then, and I know only one agent can be logged in at once. Just a thought.

Dear R Users,
Any insights into why the following occurs would be helpful....
Firstly:

Asterisk Security Audit?
Has Asterisk ever been audited for common security holes, such as buffer
overruns?
A quick grep through the source for routines that should never be used,
like strcpy, strcat, etc., reveals a lot of it. I fear I fear.
Has anyone flung pathology at IAX2 to see if it stands up to malformed
packets? (This is always an issue when you have a protocol that only a
small number of programs use ...)

Poisson mixed effects model
Hello,
I am fitting a Poisson mixed effects model. I have the number of eggs
(Eggs) laid by a quail and looking at the effect of dosage of a chemical
(Dose) in the study. I have counts of eggs laid by week of the study,
so I am including the week number (Week) as a random effect. I'm using
the lme4 package.
I have,

problem with strata in boot
Hello,
I am new to R, and am having trouble running a stratified bootstrap.
My data set consists of 38 study sites in which I recorded the number
of bird pairs. Each site has been classified as burned or mowed and
for each of these two strata I would like to determine the precision
of an overall density estimate. I can run an unstratified bootstrap
without problem, but when I specify the strata I

Treat an Unquoted Character String as a Data Frame
I have several datasets that come from different studies (fv02 and fv03),
they represent different levels (patients and lesions), and they have
different patient populations (itt, mitt, mitt3). I wanted to write some
code that would pass my three requirements into a function I wrote, produce
the output, but not have to require me to also pass a unique plot title or
output filename for each
