Enhancing performance and utility of an Asterisk machine
Hi, some questions/comments about performance/utility of * and * hardware
I've been reading this list for a few weeks and I think I have
compiled the better feelings of the users.
please correct me if I'm wrong, still learning * ....
Will be nice to see something like this in a wiki.
After being flamed and corrected I will repost "clean" data.

My contribution to the issue of code- reversal
Four years ago, I faced a real dilemma in my business: the Visual Voice PRI
dll had a bug that considered unanswered any call after ringing for 20
seconds. This bug was in fact killing my business, because for international
calling, the setup of the call was already close to 20 seconds on many
cases. Furthermore, the vendor, Artisoft, had cowardly sold the software to

T100P HDLC configuration
All,
I am trying to configure hdlc support on T100P Digium card - everything
seems ok... but it just does not work at all.
I was able to compile all drivers, the light on the card becomes green
when I plug T1 link.... but I even can't ping default router IP... there
is no data coming back to me, so I am confused completely now.
Also I tried both protocols - raw hdlc and cisco hdlc. The

T100P Configuration for Mixed Voice & Data
I need to know how to setup the data side of the T1 on my Linux Box. I
have found information about configuring a PRI and HDLC but nothing
about the Frame-Relay type setup for data.
The following is information from our T1 provider.
Network T1:
Framing = ESF
Line code = B8ZS
Build out = 0-133ft(DSX)/0dB(CSU)
Clock = network
Pulse-density-enforce = off
alarm-option = on
alarm-delay = 15

T100P Timing Was:T100P/ ZAP / PRI errors
Don & others,
Thank you for your answer. The fog maybe lifting ;).
The zaptel.conf file has the following in its comments:
#
# The timing parameter determines the selection of primary,
secondary, and
# so on sync sources. If this span should be considered a
primary sync
# source, then give it a value of "1". For a secondary, use
"2", and so on.

TA750 + T100P configuration. flashing red alarm on t100p after running modprobe wct1xxp, ztcfg
(to mods: sorry for any extra work I've put you through. Posting from my
work account, as proper)
Hello all, I'm back. I've got that lucky feeling that this will all
work out very soon, and I hope that that is true.
The issue:
In my * server I have a t100P, connected with a T1 crossover cable to
an Adtran TA750 with 2 FXO cards. After I do 'modprobe wct1xxp;ztcfg'
the alarm

T100P -->>> TE120P
Hi Folks,
I have a T100P ordered from Digium in the past. Its working perfectly fine
but I now need to more the server to India (out-sourcing) and we will be
getting an E1 line there.
Does anyone know if T100P was capable (upgradeable) or swappable so that I
could use it with the E1 lines instead? Any pointers to driver/firmware
update would be
highly appreciated.
Thanks.

HDLC & T100P
I'm setting up a T1 for both voice and data and was wanting to know the steps involved.
I've recompiled zaptel for ZAPATA_NET support and setup my /etc/zaptel.conf:
Fxsks=1-10
Nethdlc=11-24
Modprobe wct1xxp works fine and my voice lines work.
Now when I use the provided sethdlc, I use the following commands:
Sethdlc hdlc0 mode ansi
Ifconfig hdlc0 <ipaddress> <network>

FW: HDLC & T100P
I got it figured out now. In case anyone else comes across it - this is what I had to do:
Sethdlc hdlc0 mode ansi
Ifconfig hdlc0 up ***NO IP INFO SET***
Sethdlc hdlc0 create <dlci number>
Ifconfig pvc0 <local ip> pointopoint <remote ip> up
Then set your default gateway to the <remote ip> listed in pvc0. That's about it!!
Hope it helps!

Initial Connection Hangup (T100P) and Ringing Failure
I ran into a couple of odd problems with a new Asterisk box I have set
up... I have a T100P connected to a channelized T-1 (24ch) to the PSTN.
The T-1 is set up properly so far as I know and seems to work perfectly
with one exception:
When a call comes in, asterisk starts a 'simple switch' for it, goes
through my 's' extension progression until it gets to the first Playback

Configure DID Numbers with T1 Line & T100p
Hello Everyone,
I am new to asterisk and linux too, I managed to installed asterisk on
redhat8 with the help of mailing list archives and Handbook guide.
I configured 2 SIP phones (grandstream) and it is working fine internally.
We have T1 Line coming in with block of 200 DID Numbers.
I want to assign DID Numbers to each of SIP phones as an extensions and able
to call any PSTN line.

Adtran TA750 & T100P
Hello,
So all the pieces are finally here, and I'm ready to play. I remember
reading on this list that the connection Channel Bank <-> T100P requires
a "reverse cable." Is this a regular Ethernet reverse cable (i.e., only
a couple of pairs reversed?) Please help me before I blow something up!
Saludos,
Jose.

Zhone Configuration with T100P
I have been playing with Asterisks for about 6 months, and have fallen
in love with it. I have finally taken the plunge and gotten a T100P and
a Zhone Zplex-10B (24FXS) channel bank. I have read everything that I
can find on the mailing list, checked wiki, even searched the web with
google. I believe that most everything is configured right The drivers
load without error, and asterisks

clicking and popping using T100P resolved
I have been struggling for weeks to figure out why I would get clicking
and popping with my T100P card used with a TA750 channel bank. It was
most obvious during dial tone or other sustained tones, but could also
be detected during conversation. For the most part, it was one little
click or pop every 3 or 4 seconds, but could be more prolonged. The
most annoying thing was that, if a click

T100P positional on PCI bus?
I'm about to install a second T100P card in my asterisk system, and now
I'm wondering how the system determines span-1 vs span-2. Does the
position on the PCI bus determine this?
TIA

possible solution to PRI T100P dropped call issue
To recap:
T100P card wouldn't sync with the telco using line side
clocking ( span=1,1,0.........)
Had to use internal clocking (span=1,0,0.......)
zttool showed Tx/Rx Levels as 0/ 1
For the grins of it I replaced the T100P card with
another newer card from inventory.
This newer card has the same rev on the ASIC / FPGA
but doesn't have any of the various jumper headers
installed

Fun (or lack of) with asterisk & T100P
Hello,
I'm trying to get a Wildcard T100P working with Asterisk and so far I
haven't had any luck. No problems with the card itself from what I can
see and the telco says that the problem is on our end (don't they
always?). A small sample of what asterisk spews out on the console:

AG4000C and T100P
Hi, I'm currently working on a * server connected to an. ahem. "Wireless
Communication Server". The HWCS has an NMS AG 4000C. I'm using NI2, net
side on the * box.
The D-Channel comes up.
The B-Channels come up.
The first call to the * box goes through.
After which, the HWCS with the AG4000 seems to either get a
state-machine screwed up, or * does not send the correct
