I was wondering why Zaptel can't be used with those to connect an Asterisk server to a POTS line for low-level use? It just seems overkill for SOHO users who only get a few calls a day. It seems that the Apollo MD3200 winmodem sold my newegg no longer uses the MD3200 chipset. At least the $13 version I ordered arrived with a different chipset. I've tried out a few modems but they all use conexant chipsets, which need out-of-tree kernel drivers and currently doesn't work here (kernel oops when the installation script modprobes the driver). Did anybody managed to set up a PCI faxmodem based on Intel536ep chipset to work with * and Zaptel drivers? Hi All, I've got an MD3200 modem which is working as a Zaptel FXO interface for Asterisk (X100P clone I believe). It seems to work, but on incoming or outgoing calls I can hear the other party ok but when I speak, I hear my voice echo back at me (quite quietly but it's distracting!) on everything I say. The other party doesn't seem to hear the echo - they just say I sound a bit quiet.

So I won one of these on ebay, in the auction it says it has the RJ45 ports on it but it doesn't :( If I were to get an analog adapter would I be able to use the video portion of this or am I SOL?
