Mediatrix 1204 sip experience?
Anyone had any good/bad/otherwise experience with the Mediatrix 1204 Sip FXO
4-port gateway?
The archives tend to suggest the box is not very straight forward, and possibly
lacks some basic pstn interaction features.
Thinking about trying one in place of a pair of x100p's (functioning fine now).
CallerId, etc, supported on this gateway?

alternative FXO gateway to Mediatrix 1204?
I bought a couple of Mediatrix 1204's a few of months back. (Perceived
advantages were relatively low overall cost and size per port, and
it isn't nearly as vibration sensitive as a PC would be.)
Rich Adamson's review from Feb 1 is comprehensive, and the only thing I'd
like to add is this:
One "feature" of these units that absolutely infuriates me is its
behavior for

Mediatrix 1204 (4x FXO)
I have successfully implemented 1204 in semi production environment. Just want to share that it works very well, through the firewall (NATed).
Unfortunately, it can not register with the server (and authenticate) but otherwise everything is fine. The audio quality is very good.

Wojtek

FXO Gateways
Does anyone have any experience with the Audiocodes MP-108 FXO
gateway? I'm looking to get one for incoming PSTN lines.
In particular, does it pass caller ID information to Asterisk?
I currently have a Mediatrix 1204 but Caller ID does not work, even
though the specs say it does. All it sends are the names of the ports
set up internally on the gateway (ie. "pstnline1" etc) when

VoIP gateway (2 FXO, 2 FXS)
Does anyone know a good (and stable) voip gateway product with 4 ports
(2 fxo and 2 fxs), with the following requirements:
* being able to connect analog phones to the FXS ports, and communicate
over SIP with an REGISTRAR/PROXY server (SER in our case).
* being able to connect the FXO port to local office PSTN network, and
dial to that office pstn number and getting an internal dialtone, or

Best FXO Gateway
I'm currently looking to deploy an Asterisk server using an FXO media
gateway to connect to the PSTN and was looking for any user experiences that
may aid in selecting a gateway. Specifically i'm looking for a 4-port model
under 500 dollars.
Within this category exists:

I've read over Voip-info.org regarding these products and

PSTN to VoIP FXO gateways?
Sure would like to hear experiences using various FXO to VoIP gateways
with *. It seems that any thread that has anything to do with
problematic FXO interfaces goes on forever with speculation about
everything under the sun. Unless there is someone out there with the
engineering experience to build a better one it is a waste of time, let
Digium deal with it. If the TDM400P can ever be made 99.99%

Best quad-port fxo solution with EC?
Hello All,
I am trying to figure out which way to go for a quad port fxo solution
with a good echo can on it. My options are the sangoma remora, a
mediatrix fxo, or something similar.
The issue is that I would need a good EC. This would be on about a 9000
foot loop, and the lines don't function well on a spa-3000 or zaptel tdm
4 port card.
Anyone have experience that drives them in a

FXOs
Hi All,
I'd really like to see a show of hands with regard to people's
experience with FXO interfaces. I own a few X100p cards and have had
nothing but problems with them.
I also took part in Sipura's beta program, for the SPA-3000. While it
can be an improvement over the X100p, it presently has echo problems
that make it unusable. Sipura has not acknowledged the problem ( at

Reccomendations for connecting to 3-4 PSTN lines?
Hello,
I'm looking to connect Asterisk with three (four in the future) PSTN
lines, and would like to get some opinions on the TDM400 Digium card, vs.
sip gateways like the Mediatrix 1204, vs. other hardware solutions I'm not
yet aware of.
I need the ability to prioritize which PSTN lines are used for outgoing
calls (I understand this can be done with the Mediatrix --

Welltech FXO: initial tests
Hi,
After a long way of problems (shipping, customs, etc) finally I got
Welltech working. Here below my comments.

- The web configuration is not complete. However is useful for the basic
configuration parameters. The command line is necessary for modify all
parameters.
- The software upgrade is easy. Initially the gw came with H323, we

Mediatrix voip gateway 1124 and 1204 in UK setting
Hello!
We are located in the UK, and we are planning to replace our old pbx with an asterisk based pbx. For
outgoing calls our present pbx is connected to three PSTN lines which all have the same number.
Internally, the pbx caters for quite a few extensions, and each extension can make outbound phone
calls. Only very rarely does our call volume exceed three simultaneous connections (inside to

FXO to IAX on ethernet. or FXO to SIP on Ethernet
Now I have searched around and not seen anything to do this.
I want to in remote locations were we need to have single or 2 PSTN
lines for in dial as little hardware as possible and as stable as
possible so that they will operate without user intervention.
What I want to do is be able to take a single PSTN line in and go out
through adsl for the Inet link.
These would be in VERY remote

An FXO version of IAXy?
Hello--
In the interest of Symmetry, does anyone else in the world see any need
for a device like the IAXy (or the SIP ones from other manufacturers,
like the ATA186), but one that presents an FXO interface instead, so it
can be connected not to phones, but the PSTN?

Which Quad Port FXO is Best?
I'm looking to handle 3 PSTN lines with my Asterisk server. I have a
Digium TDM22B and Sipura 3000. The Sipura works great, but the TDM22B
seems to have terrible problems with my board---virtually all
peripherals need to be disabled in BIOS, and then there is terrible
noise, terrible silence and virtually no ability to use DTMF in IVRs. I
really wish the TDM22B worked, because I much

Bullet-proof FXO?
Been using a few different FXO interfaces (X100P, Voicetronix, and
SPA-3000) at a couple sites and they've all run into nasty issues at
times. I'm looking at moving one of my offices and am in the market for
a solution for connecting 4 FXOs. I got excited about recent offerings
from Digium and Sangoma in the way of new cards but I hear they're
causing troubles for more than a few.
