[Fwd: Re: Adit 600 channel bank in UK setting]
Peter - 40 phones and only 3 PSTN trunks?. I would recommend at least 2 BRIs for this. If you have ISDN you can also get DDI to the extensions.I would strongly recommend abandoning the analogue PSTN lines and using ISDN. The setup pain you will go through will be significantly less, combined with better audio, more features (like DDI numbers!) and much more robust connections. You should look

[Fwd: Re: Adit 600 channel bank in UK setting]
Jon, I actually had some more discussions with Tim on this issue, and it seems that the channel bank would still be a good option to choose for internal purposes. I would not see any other solution than a channel bank to connect many 2wire phones into one asterisk box. I had a talk today with Carrier Access, and it seems that the adit would do us fine. The fxs cards of the adit 600 are

Rhino Channel Bank or ADIT 600
I am forklifting a Merridian option 51c with 112 Nortel Digital Handsets and 400 analog units. For the analog units I have quotes for 9 ADIT 600 48 port fxs units and 17 Rhino 24 port FXS channel banks. I have used neither. Which is the best choice? The price difference is not that great. I am looking at Citelinks 24 port Handset Gateway for the Nortel Digital units. (Any other suggestions

ADIT 600 "Dynamic Impedance matching"
Has anyone ever heard of this so called Dynamic Impedance matching on the ADIT 600? I called their support and they've never heard of it. We are of course having echo problems are on the far end due to digital/analog conversion on the local end using a channel bank. We have purchased an ADIT 600 and yes the complaints are "far less" however we're still getting them. While I have

Carrier Access - Access Bank I config
Hi, Is there somebody using an Access Bank I with Asterisk that could share the secret ingredients needed to make it work ? I've searched around and found some info, I tryed almost every configuration possible but I can't seem to find the right combination. If someone could provide me with the config needed on Asterisk as well as the dip-switch settings on the channel bank part, I would

Carrier Access Channel Bank Setup -- No hangup
I just purchased a T100p from digium and a Carrier Access Access Bank 1 channel bank (12fxs/12fxo). I have the setup partially working thanks to some help from IRC. However I still have the following issues I can't seem to resolve 1. When calling into the system from the PSTN call hangup is not detected. * leaves line in use until it is shutdown. 2. When calling an analog phone connected to

smbclient recursive get skips files (rarely)
We seem to have stumbled onto an intermittant bug using smbclient to retrieve files from a W2000 server. Every so often it just ignores some files on a recursive mget. When it ignores files it always ignores the same files. The exact same command repeated again may (or may not) pick up that file. Running a DIR on the directory in question shows the same defect, sometimes the cursed file is

Extracting only one part of an string
Hi I wonder if there's a smarter way to do this procedure. I have a vector of filenames wher I only am interested in the first part of the filename. I would use the following method of extracting the first part. But is there a more simple way of doing this? Names <-

merge(join) problem
I have two datasets: A with columns Open and Name (and many others, irrelevant to the merge) B with columns Time and Name (and many others, irrelevant to the merge) I want the dataset AB with all these columns Open from A - a difftime (time of day) Time from B - a difftime (time of day) Name (same in A & B) - a factor, does NOT index rows, i.e., there are _many_ rows in both A & B with

Channel Bank configuration
Hello, I don't have any experience with channel banks and would appreciate any feedback on my theory outlined below: We have a single T1 entering the building with channels 1-12 being voice lines and 13-24 being a 768k internet connection. This T1 terminates to an Adit 600 (T1-1). Here's what I know. Channels 11-12 go out the Adit 600's 25-pair connector to a wiring block (and

Adit 600
Has anyone had any success using the Adit 600 with the CMG card talking MGCP to asterisk? I want to have a central asterisk server with 10 Adit 600's at various locations providing 24 FXS ports.... Thanks, Isaac

adit 600 fxo ports immediately "answers" outgoing calls (even if not connected to line)
I have an adit 600 with an fxo card connected to a digium T1 card. If I try to make an outgoing call and the T1 cable is disconnected, asterisks returns congested like it should. But, if the adit 600 is connected to the T1 card, the adit 600 immediately "answers" the call even if there are no physical lines attached. I even removed the fxo card and the adit 600 still

Adit 600 for asterisk
Ok, I've pretty much decided to try the Adit route. Somebody who has experience with these tell me if I'm missing something. I have 15 incoming PSTN lines. T1 is not an option at current location. I want to put in an Adit 600 with 2 8-port FXO boards. The adit will then connect to * via a digium t1 board. I configure zaptel.conf for the T1. What other parts would be needed? How do

[OT] Adit 600 Question
Hi, I'm using an Adit 600 Channel Bank with *. I love it and it works really great for my FXS lines. One problem that I have with it (It's really not a problem yet, but it's a potential one) is that I've scoured the manaual for the Adit to see if there's a way to dump out a config file from the bank so in the event of a power and battery failure I don't have to type in the

ADIT 600 & CMG <=> Asterisk question
I've searched but can't find an answer as to how many MGCP paths can a single ADIT/CMG card support? It appears it's only 24 ports, maybe 48. What I'd like to do is install 6 Telco T1's into a single (or more) Adit 600 and route inbound calls towards asterisk. Can I have more than one CMG in a single chassis? Or maybe you know of a better way to connect T1's to

Adit 600 MGCP configuration
I've finally got my Adit 600 and are configuring it right now. But I have to say, there aren't much documentation for it. I've setup MGCP and Asterisk seems to find it. But all channels (40 FXS channels) are "Down"! But the MGCP itself is "Up" according to the statistics. I can't find any documents how to set each channel to "Up" in the CLI. Any

Adit 600 over MGCP.
Hi, Anybody out there running Adit600s? I have in my care an Adit600 channel bank connected to an old (version 1.0.6) Asterisk instance with MGCP. When trying a more recent Asterisk (1.4.21.2~dfsg-3+lenny1, Stock current Debian) calls fail. I have attempted to add the "slowsequence = yes" line to mgcp.conf. (It seemed to be the only likely candidate in the example files I found

PLEASE HELP Adit 600 went kaput?
After months of setting up Asterisk. I completed the final testing last night We would go live on Monday. Or so I thought. As I moved the Adit 600 back out of the way, sliding it six inches. I noticed the major light was red as were both T1 and T2 lights ( eventhough only one t1 port is being used ) -- I have no idea what these lights mean or if they were lit before when things were working.
