GrandStream Budgetone Phone & DHCP & General Observations
Symptom: Phone after about 15mins will stop functioning Problem: DHCP lease renewed but default route dropped Fix: Assign a static ip and problem is resolved. Upgrade to new firmware once it is released It turn's out that these phones have a few issue in 1.0.3.81 firmware. The phone may stop transmitting packets if configured with DHCP, if DHCP is being provided by certain devices. Netopia

Budgetone + NAT: Firmware Version?
I inadvertently unplugged my Budgetone phone tonight and I think it went out and upgraded its firmware. It is now at 1.0.3.81. Does anyone know how new this might be? Suddenly things that have been working wonderfully before don't work--basically it seems to do the SIP stuff just fine but then all the RTP stuff breaks, even something as simple as retrieving my voicemail from a server on

I used 'sip debug' and verbose level 10, nothing happens if I switch telephone on (no messages about bad auth etc). As I understood, after switching phone on at first it will try to

Hello, Anyone using the 1.0.4.55 firmware release with any success? I have had my Budgetone running 1.0.4.50 for about a month and a half now with no problems whatsoever, and I am a little leary about upgrading. -- Vice President of N2Net, a New Age Consulting Service, Inc. Asterisk/Grandstream Budgetone disconnect issue
I am setting up a small Asterisk system for use at home. I have one Budgetone 101, one Cisco 7960 and two Xten lite softphones. So far everything is working expect for an issue with the Budgetone. When a call is placed between the Budgetone and any other phone, the call is setup and sounds good. If I hang-up on the Budgetone, everything is ok. If I hang up on the other phone, the Budgetone

Asterisk + BudgeTone (behind NAT)
I'm using Asterisk on a open server (no firewall or NAT) and trying to communicate with a Grandstream BudgeTone 102 SIP phone which is behind NAT. The BudgeTone is at firmware level 1.0.4.30 and Asterisk is from CVS about a week ago. My problem is that I'm only getting half-duplex communication -- I can hear voice from the Asterisk server but the server does not understand any voice from

Hardphone deployment recommendation
I'm looking to purchase and deploy a bunch of hardphones for agent use. The phones will have to register with Asterisk and/or SER, depending on where the phones go. They need only one line, G729 codec, and no super fancy features. Preferrably something that is easy to provision. I would think the BudgeTone would be good, but then I've read so many people complaining about them, and some

Ronald, Grandstream products have a one year warrantee. If you don't have any luck with Pulver, contact us and we can probably get your phones exchanged. Please don't assume that your experience with Grandstream is typical. We sell a lot of these phones and the overwhelming majority of the purchasers are very happy with their units. Problems with * and Grandstream Budgetone 100
I have two problems with Asterisk and my Budgetone 100s. 1. Sometimes when outside callers dial my Budgetone it will ring twice, then the caller will receive a busy signal. This happens intermittently and I cannot pin down the circumstances of when it works and when it doesn't. Asterisk logging doesn't give me too much info when this happens: *CLI> -- Executing

Grandstream firmware update DMTF Payload Type
Since firmware 1.0.3.81, unless I'm imagining things, Voicemail2 seems to be having problems. The Grandstream and sip.conf were set to RFC2833 now with that setting I get extra digits during "Mailbox" and "Password" phases. 222001 instead of 2201 for example. When both are changed to "SIP info" there is no problem. But what is the new setting "DTMF Payload

Best Grandstream firmware to use?
I've seen lots of stuff go around about Grandstream firmware levels (in my case specifically the BT101/102). I'm just wondering what the currently accepted 'best' firmware version is to use? After seeing stuff going around about buggy firmware I want to know what I'm getting into before upping past my current 1.0.5.11. It's relatively stable, and the last thing I want

Strange Call waiting problems - SNOM 200 & Grandstream Budgetone
Hi I am setting up an Asterisk System in an office environment, Incoming and Outgoing calls are working ok, but i am having a few strange problems regarding call waiting. With the SNOM 200 (firmware 2.02t) phones, if you are on a call and a 2nd call comes in, the call waiting beep is played and the light flashes, but if you hang up the 1st call, instead of the phone ringing, it connects the
