ZapBarge restrictions?
Anyone successfully implemented a solution for allowing ZapBarge call monitoring only for a specific group of agents calls? The issue I see is that the feature only works on zap channels, and all of the agents (in many cases) are IP phones. Allowing ZapBarge and ZapScan on the TDM PSTN (t100p) interface has privacy issues for senior managers, but would allow all outbound zap calls to be

ZapBarge a PRI DDI
I'm using a TE405p with all four spans enabled, two configured as pri_cpe and two as pri_net, the asterisk is sitting between our ISDN (UK BT EuroISDN30) and our phone system. We have 200 DDI numbers on the ISDN's and I need to give one of our clients dial-in access to be able to monitor calls we handle on their behalf. I've got ZapBarge working but I need to restrict the client

Asterisk Manager API and ZapBarge or ChanSpy
Am trying to monitor and record an in-process phone call using a remote computer and the Asterisk Manager API. Have something that is working, but the call recording volume is to low to be usable. dialplan exten => 8159,1,ZapBarge(Zap/1) remote application with Asterisk Manager API $telnet->print("Action: Originate\nChannel: Local/8159\@default\nApplication: ChanSpy\nData:

zap barge restrictions
I have a couple of questions on the zapbarge: 1) zapbarge asks for a channel - how would a manager know what channel to enter ? Is there any way of being able to enter an extension number instead ? I know that you can get the information from the manager interface, but I wouldn't want to give my users access to this, or have to install / write a system just to get an extension number from a

E&M Wink and T4xxP losing ability to dial
Hey folks, I'm pulling my hair out on this situation and would welcome some advice: I'm using the AMI Manager to Originate calls onto 2 E&M wink T1 circuits via a T4XXP card from Digium. Everything works fine for about 600(+/- 50) calls then the Manager is suddenly unable to launch calls. Using ZapBarge to listen to the channels themselves you can hear the dtmf digits being dialed,

ZapBarge
I was ZapBarging an extension the other day (sorry, CVS Head as of last week) and "forgot" to put down the phone when the conversation ended. To my consternation, I then started to listen to a totally different conversation - I think that the zap channel got re-used. Is there any way to force the zap barge to drop when either party hangs up ? Thanks. Julian

recording calls
Hello, You can use ZapBarge as an extension in your dialplan to listen in on conversations going on in Zap channels(Zaptel device channels) As for recording you can use the Manager interface command StartMonitor to start recording of a Zap channel and StopMonitor to stop it. Zap channels are pretty much the only ones right now that you can directly monitor and record through Asterisk. If

Final version of ZapScan
Hey folks -- Some of you had asked about getting my modification to ZapBarge that lets you monitor active Zap channels, scanning through them with the # key. I had posted a version a few days ago that was pretty crude; it didn't check to see which channels were active and assumed you had 23. I've finished a new version that checks to see what channels are actually active and pulls

advanced audio recording agi help
I'm thinking about doing a project using asterisk that would let someone call in and save the audio to a wav file. I know it can be done using Record() or zapbarge. However, I'd like to be able to do some more complicated/interactive things such as: 1. record some audio 2. play it back 3. pause the playback in the middle 4. start recording again in the middle where I had paused it 5.

Asterisk for Call Center (missing reference)
Hi Folks, I've been searching for an specific feature on asterisk and I found an e-mail from "John Todd" asking for the same thing. http://lists.digium.com/pipermail/asterisk-users/2004-May/045882.html To be able to listen (zapbarge, zapscan or chanspy) an specific channel and can talk to one side (the operator). That feature is very usefull in call centers in Brazil so if you want

ChanSpy - Should I repatch it ?
With the deafening silence from my previous questions, I feel seriously alone in the desire to have ChanSpy available. I want to be able to perform a "ZapBarge" on an Agents conversation, and ChanSpy was the answer to my prayers. Bug #2379 (http://bugs.digium.com/bug_view_page.php?bug_id=0002379) was closed "bkw918 10-27-04 17:06 Closed pending new changes in cvs-head."

Asterisk on a notebook?
I'd dearly love to be able to give an Asterisk demo by just toting my notebook, a PC/PCMCIA card, and a couple SIP phones. Is there any way to do this? Or should I look for a small-profile box with PCI slots, instead?

Which application to open Zap channel?
I'm sure this a very common and easy thing to do with Asterisk, but for the life of me I can't find the application that will allow me to open a Zap channel. Real world example: To be able to connect to an open Zap channel, so it would allow me to say, join in on a call that was originally answered by a PSTN phone (ie. just like you would by simply picking up another PSTN phone..!).

Dutch (DTMF) caller-ID
Hey all, I recently noticed that DTMF caller-ID was implemented in CVS, so I requested the service from my telco (the Dutch KPN) and tried to get it going in Asterisk (current CVS), without success so far. This system has 1 X100P, 2 TDM400P's with 4 FXS-modules each and 2 HFC-PCI ISDN-cards (zaphfc-driver) in it. The analog line I'm trying to get caller-ID working on is obviously on the

7777 (simulate incoming call) not working
I'm setting up a new AAH 1.0 box to replace my AAH 0.6 box. Though on the new box, I've installed a generic ebay X100P. I don't have my livevoip or voicepulse accounts set up yet on the new box (can both boxes be registered at the same time?). I've set up one IP phone (SPA841) with the new box. I have my SBC POTS line plugged into the fxo card. I set up everything in AMP.

live monitoring
Hello, I've search through all of the lists and cannot find any descriptions of live monitoring (monitoring a phone call going on between an extension and a zaptel channel live from another extension while the monitoring phone is muted). I am aware of the monitor function which is actually a call recorder, but I'm looking for live monitoring from a muted extension. is this easily
