Outband DTMF on i4l modem
Hello,
I am setting up 2 ISDN 4 linux cards and have had great success now that
I have got over the initial problems with : and / characters.
The only problem I am experiencing now is the sending of DTMF tones over
the line to a remote IVR system.
If I dial SIP (Cisco 7905 and 7940) to a number over the line, no DTMF
tones are heard. I dialed my own home phone and tried it, no matter

NetJet Cards
Hello,
I am trying to use 2 netjet cards under asterisk and isdn4linux. I am
having a hard time trying to get them to work in terms of dial out. Does
anyone have a working config I could look at for even one card (tried
that, not much luck either).
When i dial out:

C7960 g729 question
I have multiple voiceage g729 licenses installed on a RH9 box, and have
a remote C7960 configured to use it (low bandwidth). In calls like:
Remote C7960 -> g729 -> asterisk -> g711 -> C7960
the audio is oftentimes rather choppy. Changing the remote 7960 to use
g711 seems to eliminate/reduce the choppyness. Any ideas on what might
be behind this?

Where to purchase ISDN (BRI) cards in Australia (preferably)
Hello all,
I was wondering if anybody knows where one might obtain a PCI ISDN
card supporting a single BRI for use with Asterisk in Australia (and
using something like chan_capi).
Because of the Isdn4Linux DTMF issue, I don't want one of those cards.
I've already spent too much time messing about with my current card.
I'm after something like the AVM Fritz! cards. I found one place

Spawn extension (default, 1002, 2) exited non-zero on 'SIP/host-0819d0d0
Hi
i generate a call from the dialplan in this mode:
exten => 1002,1,Answer()
exten => 1002,2,Dial(SIP/user at host)
the call is generated, but after some seconds it is interrupted, here
the asterisk log:

Spawn extension.....exited non-zero
I am recieving inbound calls to my asterisk box over IAX.
And getting "spawn extension....exited non-zero" errors.
Im not entirely sure what this means, and would appreciate any help in
fixing my problem.
FYI:
********** is the inbound phone number
x.x.x.x is a remote asterisk box calling my own asterisk box.
When I choose it to dial an internal extension using this dialplan:

god - start command exited with non-zero code = 1
Hi, I''m trying to use god to monitor my mongrels. When they are running
everything looks OK but when a mongrel process dies and god tries to
restart it I get the following error:
command exited with non-zero code = 1
The weird thing is that if I try use the exact same command as god is
using but on the command line then the mongrel starts back up.
I''ve seen this error

extension exited non-zero...
Hi,
> 'g' -- goes on in context if the destination channel hangs up
I need the completely opposite of this, something like "goes on
in context if the calling party hangs up".
The situation is as follows, i got a call from outside which is
Dial'ed to somewhere else. If the calling party drops the line,
the dialplan suddenly ends:

Macro 'exited non-zero'
Can someone tell me if this indicates a problem? What does it mean when a macro exits != 0 ?
Spawn extension (macro-syst_FindAppServer, s, 5) exited non-zero on 'SIP/xxx.yyy.142.186-b7515f98' in macro 'syst_FindAppServer'
Thanks,
Doug.

unable to create channel, in strange state, exited non-zero, etc.
I'm having various issues that may or may not be related to each other (I'm
pretty sure they are). We've had this system for a year now (quad T1 card,
right now we have 1 T1 coming in, 2 going out to channel banks) and we've
had intermittent "ghost" calls--it appears that what is happening is a call
is made, the number being called is disconnected/busy/answering

pdb_mysql, pdb_pgsql and pdb_xml modules: request for maintainer
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----
Hash: SHA1
Hi!
The experimental pdb modules (pdb_mysql, pdb_pgsql and pdb_xml) have
been a bit neglected during the last few releases of Samba 3 as they
haven't been actively maintained. I was the original author and
maintainer, but I no longer work on Samba 3 and I no longer use any of
the modules in production.
I'll remove these modules unless

ISDN (isdn4linux) DDI
Hello all,
does anybody have experiences with DDI on ISDN BRI? I would like to
order DDI with 10 or 100 numbers from telco company, and use DDI
numbers for direct calling SIP/H323 clients. But I don't know if
Asterisk supports it, in archive I found only one answer about it, and
I'm not sure. I am going to use it with isdn4linux card.
Maybe DDI is called differently in other countries,

FW: Exited non-zero
I am working on this app to dial two external numbers. The second is dialed
after the first hangs up. I have simplified things down to:

exten => 3852,2,Wait(2)
exten => 3852,3,Dial(zap/g1/7757,10,g)
exten => 3852,4,Hangup
Here is the debug:
