te410p with serial console fails with error: TE410P: Double/missed interrupt detected
Thinking outside the box, four possible solutions come to mind:
1) use ssh (preferred for security), vnc, or xwindows to remotely access
the machine (I've heard it is not good to use vnc and xwindows as the
GUI tends to interfere with Asterisk timing)
2) in our server room, we have a keyboard and monitor on wheels and
connect up to any server when it requires local servicing (or use a KVM

Mail problems? Need help finding this process!
Hello All,
I can't get this one figured out. The few search hits I get on it
suggest it is mail-related, but I don't even know how that was determined.

I get one of these per minute. I can't seem to tweak for more verbosity.
Could someone tell me what is going on or point me to a place to

Asterisk CTI interface to control legacy PBX
Hello,
I am looking for a way to control another legacy PBX from Asterisk using
a CTI interface. Are you aware of any legacy PBX CTI control card that
can be controlled by Asterisk? I have an Avaya PBX with CTI interface
and researching if I can connect Asterisk to this. :-)
Thanks for any hints.

How to correct set permissions only for a group users access the share folder
Rowland,
The first two images are from the "storage" folder, that is the main
folder, which I configured via "computer management".

The last two are related to the CTI group.
Tell me what you need to test, I do! :D

CTI interface(s) for Asterisk? [REALLY LONG MESSAGE - SORRY]
Hi. I have just finished Googling the list archive for information on
doing CTI with Asterisk. I never found a definitive "here's how it's
done" answer, but I did see a number of postings indicating that it was
at least a possibility. (For those of you who already know about CTI,
please pardon the pedantic introductions to each section.)
Here are my questions:

Agent Login, Logout, Ready, Not Ready from the CTI application
Hi All;
We know that agents can login and logout from the phone handset. But if we need the login, logout, ready and not ready to be from an application and to be integrated with the CRM, how to acheive this?
Normally in Cisco and AVAYA, they use CTI integration and the CTI client (which is embded in the CRM application) will receive the the caller id or information via that CTI client.

(fast) AGI and AMI synchronization ?
Hi,
I've been developing some CTI software around asterisk for a while,
mainly with the help of AMI and fast AGI.
It works quite fine, but I have some trouble sometimes with the
un-synchronized property of these 2.
Let me explain, we have a dialplan like this one :
exten = s,n,UserEvent(useful_input_data)
(...) a few actions
exten = s,n,AGI(agi://127.0.0.1:3333/fetch,queuename)

In other words the ability to take a call and join it to another call and
then drop off letting the CO-switch take over.

HDLC Receiver overrun on Wildcard TE410P
Hello
I've got small PBX (30 simultaneous connections) based on asterisk
(1.6.2.6), which uses Stargate 2N ISDN to GSM gate.
It runs ok for day or two, but then I get:
dahdi: HDLC Receiver overrun on channel TE4/0/1/16 (master=TE4/0/1/16)
in my kernel logs, in asterisk i get:
pri show spans
PRI span 1/0: Provisioned, Down, Active

OT - How to query vcard-like data for CTI app
Hi,
While this question does not directly concern Asterisk, it certainly relates
to CTI applications.
When building CTI application, you can meet 3 data types :
- LDAP data, for employee data,
- SQL data, for customer or structured data,
- vCards-like, for various contacts mostly stored in Email's address books.
It is very common to deal with LDAP or SQL databases, from a program.
I would

Asterisk hardware configuration and cost?
Hi there,
our old pbx contract will expire soon and we have now 2 pbx companies trying hard to sell us a new VoIP one. I am usually a friend of open source software and read about the Asterisk poject, but I can not assess if Asterisk fulfills all our requirements. It would be great to receive some input from experienced users to be able to convince our management.
My question is if the
