Pbx / channel bank install
Hi all, We are about to make our first channel bank install. This will be a one PRI outside connection and up to 70 extensions. As the schedule (and the budget) is pretty tight, I would like to learn a little bit more about general experiences with channel banks, like echo cancellation problems, Caller ID usage, etc. TIA, Paulohm

Applying function with separate dataframe (calibration file) supplying some inputs
Hello, I am not entirely sure the subject line captures what I am trying to do, but hopefully this description of the problem will help folks to see my challenge and hopefully offer constructive assistance. I have an experimental setup where I measure the decrease in oxygen in small vials as an organism, such as an oyster, consumes the oxygen. Each vial is calibrated before the experiment and

>Another option is Aastra's Ring Selectors. This devices must wait 2 rings to detect the cadence then * is gonna wait 2 rings trying to get CallerID which I think it will NEVER

dynamic queue channels
Hi, I'm trying to build a call center application that allows attendants to come in the morning and dial a certain extension to make their extension available. I wouldn't like to use the AgentLogin app because their line would need to stay off-hook (is this correct?) Is there any SET channel status command that would allow me to do something like this? busydetect and random hangups
Hi, I'm having random hangup problems with zap channels. If I turn busydetect off in Zapata.conf, * fails completely to detect a user hangup in the middle of a script. On the other hand, if I turn it on, everything works much better, but long calls tend to be hung up without a motive. Any other parameter that I can try? Any #define that I can tweak and recompile? Will callprogress

Beta testers for visual configuration tool for asterisk
Hi All, We've been developing for a while an IDE for Asterisk, and the time has come to open it for beta testers. You can check at www.instant.com.br/viv.html for a snapshot of the application. Current modules are Dialplan and VoiceMail configuration. As you may see, it is all-visual, with drag and drop support and integrated sound recording, saving and cross-checking, so you dialpland

E1 problems
Hi, I'm testing an E1 with E&M signaling. Some of the problems I'm running into are the following: 1) if I try to configure any channel above channel 15, I start getting a "multiframe alignment error" on my telco test equipment. So I have my zaptel file only configured for 15 channels, like this span=1,1,0,cas,hdb3 e&m=1-15 2) When the test equipment tries to send me

Changing ring cadence on FXS lines
Is there a way I can change the ring cadence on FXS lines on a system using a Digium Wildcard TDM2400 card? I recently deployed a new phone system, and the customer has a few POTS phones in areas where they don't have data network services, so we're using the FXS lines to provide dialtone at those outbuildings. The old phone system would ring those phones with a short ring-short

X100P card in Australia
I'm trying to get the X100P card working in AU. So far I have managed to get it to handle incoming calls from the PSTN and have managed to eliminate pretty much most of the echo. My big problem is getting the outbound calls to work. When I get ZAP to dial out it won't connect and I get what I think is the Congestion signal - like a busy signal but with what appears to be a 10db

Inter-digit timers on t100
Hello all- So I have * up and running and connected to a legacy system via em_w lines and have no trouble dialing from * through the tie line but from the PBX across the tie line I am having intermittant receipt of the DTMF. T-Berd testing is showing that the digits are coming across but * is either missing the first digit consistantly. This seems to me to have something to do with start timers

help with oop in R - class structure and syntex
Hi, I read section 5, oop, of the R lang doc, and I am still not sure I understand how to build a class in R for oop. I thought that since I understand the oop syntex of Java and VB, I am wondering if the R programmig experts could help me out by comparing and contrasting the oop syntex in R with that of Java. For example, the basic class structure in Java is like this: public class Bicycle {
