Inbound ANI & DNIS format
Hello, Being totally fed up with the lack of quality and reliability from both VoicePulse and BroadVoice, We are switching to a direct IP connection to Global Crossing. We've installed a local point-to-point T1 into their CO, and they will give/take SIP g729a directly and act as the gateway for us. In setting up the inbound SIP service, they are asking the question, "In what format do

Yes its a T3 split into seven trunk groups with one D channel and NFAS on each. Can you explain the cut function or point me somewhere please? ANI and DNIS Seperation on a PRI (Telephony Numbering Plan (E.164/E.163) (1) '*4105556654*8005550215*' ])
OK I am going to do it again. Global Crossing is now sending ANI but it is not in the format I expected. Any one know of a way to get this data into two seperate variables? The first number is ANI and the second is DNIS so it is "*tendigits*tendigits* on one line like below. < Called Number (len=26) [ Ext: 1 TON: National Number (2) NPI: ISDN/Telephony Numbering Plan

Queues without agent login
Is it possible to make use of queues for incoming calls but to have agents that do not need to log in ? If I create a queue and make certain SIP-users member of the queue, do these SIP-users always need to log in to the queue to be able to receive calls that are in the queue ?? Can't a member be just available when the phone is registered to the Asterisk-server ? In stead of also having to

X-IMail-SPAM-Connection DNS Sudo ANI vs True ANI
Hello All, I'm having problems with international calling via Global Crossing. I'm told I need to send a true ani versus a sudo ani. What is the difference and how can I configure asterisk to do this. Global Crossing is denying calls with sudo anis. Thanks, Keith

DNIS dropping digits.
I've got an E&M wink T1 into a Sangoma card, and it's dropping my DNIS digits. I'm supposed to get four digits from the CO, and I reliably get the first digit -- it's a crapshoot as to how many after the first I get. I have overlapdial=yes and immediate=no. Any other suggestions of things to tweak/try? Thanks! -Ken

chan_capi setting ${DNIS}
Is there a reason the variable ${DNIS} does not get set with incoming calls via chan_capi ? Is it related to the MSN=X in capi.conf ? version = chan_capi-cm-0.6.3 example; exten => _95555555XX,1,NoOp, ${EXTEN}, ${DNIS} == ISDN1: Incoming call '0400000000' -> '95555555' -- Executing SetCDRUserField("CAPI/ISDN1/955555 55-135", "Incoming") in new

DNIS on T1 channels
I installed a Sangoma card with the default install. I'm getting five digits of DNIS with each call. The T1 is setup ESF/B8ZS wink start. Each of the digits of the DNIS are being used for extensions in the context. I need a single extension that let me start an AGI script that can use the dnis. Can anyone point me in the right direction to do this? Thanks, David Ruggles CCNA MCSE (NT) CNA

Turning off DNIS on T1 set to FXO_LS protocol
Hello everyone, Our company has an Asterisk server where one of the T1s is connected to an IVR. Asterisk is configured for FXO Loopstart, and the IVR is configured FXS. We can call into it, but our software doesn't expect DNIS digits on FXS, and the digits are being interpreted as user input. We can certainly change our software accordingly, but our test bed also includes other

ANI matching trouble
Hi. I need to send calls to different programs depending on where the call originates. For example, I need calls from San Diego (NPA 619 and 858) to to be routed differently than L.A. calls. I tried entries like: exten => 4044633/_619.,1,OurApp,sandiego-queue exten => 4044633/_858.,1,OurApp,sandiego-queue exten => 4044633/_213.,1,OurApp,losangeles-queue exten =>

Whats required for unblockable ANI / CLID?
For our application we want to read the callers number back to them (calling in on a 800# that would somehow point to multiple lines -- figuring that all out still). I was under the impression that calls to 800#'s are unblockable by the caller (irregardless if they have caller id blocked or not). I'm not sure if this is because of ANI or CLID (or if ANI _is_ CLID) or how any of this

ANI II/Payphone indication
Quickie: Does anyone out there have experience with PRI delivery of ANI II information? Specifically, I want to know if it's possible from within Asterisk to know if the inbound call (which may or may not be to an 800 number) came from a payphone or not. I know with some 800 providers it's possible to block inbound calls from payphones (due to the FCC surcharge etc) but was wondering how
