rxgain/txgain test numbers in Germany?
Hi, does anyone have test numbers in Germany that would allow me to tune my rxgain/txgain settings? I know there are numbers provided by other providers in UK e.g. but have yet failed to find a number in Germany (esp. by Deutsche Telekom). Kind regards, JP

Effectively using a telco Type 102 Milliwatt Test line with ztmon itor -v to set txgain/rxgain in zapata?
I am trying to obtain optimum gain settings for a bank of analog lines connected to a channel bank. My telco has provided a 'Type 102' test line to use for incoming level calibration. This is functionally equivalent to app Milliwatt(), but provides tone from the CO inwards. Question is, how should one use this a 0dbm test source with ztmonitor? Am I correct in understanding that a 0dbm

Zaptel and Zapata Conf's
I'm a bit confused on how to setup Zaptel.conf and Zapata.conf when there is a TDM400P and a TE410P installed after upgrade. The TDM400P has 2 FXS in position 1 & 2 and 1 FXO in the fourth position. I see boot, WCT4xxP loading first and WCFXS loading second. According to my understanding, given above, the TE410P should be configured first, then the TDM400P. However, I'm not sure

Issue with zapata.conf "immediate" setting
I currently have two channel groups in my zapata.conf file. I would like one group to be immediate=yes and the other immediate=no Does not seem to matter which way I go, the first entry in overrides my explicit setting for the second group. I am running * 1.0.9 on FC1 [trunkgroups] ;trunkgroup => 1,24 trunkgroup => 1,48,72 ;spanmap => 1,1,0 spanmap => 2,1,0 spanmap => 3,1,1

I am looking for docs on how to diagnose and adjust the rx/tx gain in zapata.conf. The wiki has a link to this article but it no longer exists on the server. http://lists.digium.com/pipermail/asterisk-users/2004-November/071301.html

rxgain/txgain in chan_sip
Hello All This or similar topics have already been mentioned but without any solution yet. I have built a oneway conference system for a client using one caller's input and broadcast it to all the other participants using app_meetme. E.g. one talker multiple listeners. Unfortunately some of the talkers (I have got multiple rooms) are not loud enough (e.g. use just half the amplitude, so

rxgain - txgain values
Hi, I know that this issue has been discused guite a lot, but I haven't managed to get a definite answer. Is those two values supposed to be floats (e.g. 3.5) or integers with the percent symbol (e.g. 20%)? Thanks, Yiannis.

zapata configuration & parsing
Hi gang. Just put an FXS port on a Zap interface for the first time. I can't figure out which parameters in zapata.conf are global and which ones can be channel specific & nested. I have mucked around with it but I can't seem to make any effect on the gain levels on a per channel basis. dring1context=pbx } dring1=0,0,0 } obviously global because it sets conditions for

Echo Cancellation not working in Zapata.conf
I have echocancel=yes in zapata.conf but when I do a zap show channel 1, I notice echo cancellation is turned off. I followed the article that talks about the order in which the statements need to be in zapata.conf to get echo canceling to work: http://lists.digium.com/pipermail/asterisk-users/2005-June/110615.html But it is still not working. Does anyone know how to get echo

Polycom hand/head set echo and Zapata config
Hey everyone, I have been trying to figure this out and I am just getting no where with it. The office is using Polycom IP 601 phones. Everything sounds great in terms of quality on both heads. However, users of the phone are having trouble with their headsets and handsets. Some users are hearing their voices back come back on the phone. If they adjust their volume lower, then it goes away,

X101P on a UK BT line ---- txgain issue
I am finding that I have to increase the txgain in zapata.conf to 8 when my X101P is connected to my BT phone line, otherwise people can hardly hear me. This then gives echo issues. Do other people have the same problem on BT lines. I was wondering if I should give BT a call and get them to increase the gain on the line. Strange though as the rxgain is OK and I don't have this problem with

UK zaptel and zapata.conf for TDM400P
Has anyone got a sensible zaptel.conf and zapata.conf for 2 TDM400P's working with UK set-up. They're set-up with 7 analogue phones and 1 PSTN port. Currently zaptel.conf has fxoks=1-7 fxsks=8 loadzone=uk defaultzone=uk It's really zapata.conf that would be useful. Currently using the zaptel/asterisk that comes with Ubuntu (latest) which needed a bit of tweaking (1.2.16), but could
