[LLVMdev] Iterating on the DSGraph... (fwd)
I use the following code to do the depth first search on the DSGraph. And
I always got this error message. Couldn't figure out what's wrong. Could
you please let me know? Besides, I really have no idea about what those
functions do. Is there any documentation about DSGraph functions besides
the pool allocation paper?
Thanks,

What version of Samba will work with an AIX version of Unix?
Hi all
We are currently looking to implement a scenario where our AIX Unix
Server and Windows Server can communicate with each other using a
version of Samba.
We currently scan images which are stored on our Unix system and ideally
we would like our Windows Server to have access to these files. The
software we use for our daily business is Unix based so the the scanned
images have to be

wbinfo -u - do I need to worry?
Hi all,
Will keep this brief :-) Just trying to clear some things up regarding
winbind.
wbinfo -u returns "Error looking up domain users". I'm only using
winbind for ntlm_auth which works fine. I'm not using AD or any Windows
server-based domain. Samba only. There don't seem to be any obvious
errors in the winbind log. Do I need to worry about that error? Should

samba ldap pdc w/unix accounts: local unix and ldap unix users can't resolve uids to names on the server
* distro: ubuntu breezy ( 6.06 )
* samba version: shipped version with updates ( 3.0.22-1ubuntu3.1 )
* no ssl
* openLDAP is running on the same machine as samba, and referenced as
localhost/127.0.0.1 where applicable ( 2.2.26-5ubuntu2.1 )
* nscd is not installed, much less running
I've set up a samba pdc with ldap by following the Samba Guide very
closely, adapting it to Ubuntu/Debian where

Printer Device Modes
Greetings Admins,
The howto details setting the device mode using a windows client:
http://us4.samba.org/samba/docs/man/Samba-HOWTO-Collection/printing.html#id2552900
Is there a way to script this process? We support 260+ printers and
it's a pain in the ass. (My wrist is hurting!)

Ryan

smb.conf 3.0.7 -> 3.0.23c domain master problem
Hi all,
We have an old 3.0.7 samba running as PDC. As we have problems with XP64
clients accessing the domain, I compiled a 3.0.23c and copied the
smb.conf. Some of the client work well with the new Samba, but most of
them do not. Was there any relevant change in the smb.conf part between
the two versions?
Thanks

Moving samba PDC to new machine (same name?)
I'm using a tdbsam database with Samba 3.0.11 on a machine that's
getting a little long in the tooth. I'd like to move the whole deal to
a new machine without any reconfiguring on the clients - I'm happy with
a little downtime - out of office hours the system is hardly used
anyway. I'd like to upgrade to 3.0.21c at the same time.
I'm thinking:
1. backup domain data on

Definitive HowTo for CENTOS 5 Winbind - Samba - Active Directory Integration
Hi all,
I have been out of the linux / unix loop for a good three years now, and a
lot has changed..
I have a windows 2003 server on my home office lan as my domain controller.
I would like to know if there is a good how-to that applies to Centos5 to
achieve the following:
Joining the centos machine to the AD domain (I believe I have done this
already)
Sharing files from it

Trying to share HP Officejet 5610 Multi-function
I'm trying to share my HP 5610 on my Samba (3.0.24-1 fc6 x86_64) machine and
am running into a typical HP related SANFU. The XP drivers supplied only
install through the installation program. (ie. I can't use device manager
to point XP to the driver and install it) So I installed the printer on my
XP machine, used the installation program to install the drivers and then
shared the

Mates,
I'm trying to solve some log errors I getting. I have samba 3.0.7

Request to update slapd.conf and OpenLDAP info for Samba-Guide/happy.html
Dear Team,
The OpenLDAP stuff on this page:
http://us4.samba.org/samba/docs/man/Samba-Guide/happy.html
is not the preferred backend, i.e. ldbm, it really, really needs to be bdb.
See:
http://www.openldap.org/faq/index.cgi?_highlightWords=bdb%20ldbm&file=1085
"ldbm uses a neutral storage interface which in principle could wrap dbm,
ndbm, gdbm or sleepycat as underlying storage;

cannot start smbd on AIX 5.3
Help please.
I am in the process of configuring Samba 3.0.14a onto 4 AIX 5.3 systems.
It seems to be working OK on 3 of the 4, but on the last one, I cannot
start smbd.
nmbd seems to start fine.
The smb.conf file matches the other servers except that the server name
is changed.
Here's the error showing up on the log.smbd file.
