DTMF in the middle of a call
I found this old post using a Google search for DTMF tones heard during an Asterisk call. The calling party does not hear them, only the called party. We are experiencing this sporadic DTMF "beep" followed by a momentary silence on a random number of our calls. This happens on trunk to SIP and SIP to SIP calls, so it's not PRI related. Since this thread is dated 2003, and the

SNOM100 GSM again
OK I did some researches and tests with it, and finally: I registered my messenger to the asterisk and called if from the snom. The audio from the snom to the messenger was PERFECT. By the time of the call This message was running on the asterisk console: WARNING[16400]: File dsp.c, Line 1107 (ast_dsp_process): Unable to detect process 2 frames My conclusion is that the snom100 utilizes MSGSM

Snom100 H.323 sample config
I'm trying to get a Snom100 configured with H.323. Right now, the phone is not even connecting to the Asterisk server, so there's obviously a problem with the snom config. Does anybody have a sample working configuration with the snom phone, using H.323? I've checked the archives, but everybody seems to be using SIP with the Snom phone, not H.323. -Tilghman

Failed calls from SNOM100 to *
Hi all, I've just been setting up such a phone with * and I'm facing some problems. At this time there is no customized extensions & others, so I use extension 8500 (voicemail) in default config. What I get when this extension is called from the SNOM is pasted below. The phone ignores *'s invites and * sends a "BYE" to it. Please note the IP in the "Contact"

ISDN problem: lacking dialtone
Hi all, this is a rather "newbie-oriented" question, so please bear with me... The system running Asterisk has been provided with an AVM FRITZ!Card PnP. SuSE Linux 9.0 recognizes it right after booting the system and it seems to be configured (MSN) correctly... The hwinfo looks like this: --- pbx:/etc/asterisk # hwinfo --isapnp 11: ISA(PnP) 01.0: 10300 ISDN Adapter [Created at

Snom100 GSM
Hi, there were some postings a few weeks ago telling that the GSM codec problem with snom100 will be fixed. But it still seems to be very quality. Will be any change in this subject? [ISDN] Problem: Device '/dev/ttyI1' lacking dialtone
All, Currently I've got my Asterisk machine running smoothly on IP bases. Meaning I can reach all phones or softphones within my LAN or remote LAN's via VPN. The next step for me is connecting it to the PSTN network. After some tweaking with the modem.conf I got the i4l driver running correctly, and it appears that my Fritz! ISDN v2 card is working correctly. I have added the

SIP / IAX over satellite
Hi all, ------ I tried to use * over satellite, but all my effort did not succeed. The Asterisk is behind the VSAT and is resposibel for alle the SIP clients in a field location. The clients are notebooks and PDA's running SJPhoen for Windows and PocketPC. Unfortunately I could not find any Linux Client wich worked satisfying. SJ LAbs promised a Linux Version at the end of August but they

Receptionists Phone suggestions? (Not Snom370)
Does anyone have any suggestions for a decent receptionists phone? Aastra? Grandstream? Something with (potentially) lots of BLFs, large(ish) screen, headset and most importantly the ability to transfer calls? I've installed five Snom 370s that seemed ideal but my client is very very unhappy as the Snom 370 can't transfer a call correctly if there's another call coming in (details

SIP phone behind NAT
Hi all, -------- I have a Asterisk at a public Network (official IP address). In the local network I have isntalled a Snom 200 IP phone and in my home network (behind NAT) a Snom 100 device. I can dial the Snom200 device from my home location without any problems but the Snom200 can not dial me. It always gets a "we do not rely". I tried to forward the SIP Port (5060) UDP via UPnP

Transfer/Park Question.
I've got a situation where I need to use a transfer to the parking lot as hold, but am not going to use BLF indicators on the phone to pick up the parked calls so I need to hear the 3-digit extension after the transfer. I'm using Snom 300 phones and have tried setting a programmable button to Key Event F_TRANSFER 700, which successfully does the transfer but cuts off audio so you

ATA186 v3.1 SIP - Attended transfer: NO JOY
Hi, I'm still hassling with the consultative/attended transfer stuff. Someone please help me identify this A lot has already been said about the ATA186. Some report it works fine, others say it doesn't. Lets get clarity on this. My scenario is reasonably simple (I think) Phone A: SIP/video1 Phone B: SIP/werkkamer Phone C: IAX2/provider Phone A calls phone B, they chat: *CLI> show

Call Transfer over Fritz!-ISDN Card with i4l does not work
Hello everybody! After checking the complete wiki and the mailinglist archives I still haven't really found out why the following constellation does not work. We have an asterisk-System with some SIP-Phones and an old ISA Fritz-ISDN-Card used with i4l. The whole system is integrated in out (ISDN-)PBX for testing. The ISDN-Card is properly configured, as we are able to phone out, receive

Snom has dialtone after putting a person on hold
Hi List, I cant seem to find the setting that changes this! You put a person on hold, they are on hold like normal, but after a few seconds the phone will then start having dialtone coming from the speakerphone, really weird!! Anyone know how to fix this? I see where it could be nice, but in this case, we just want them on hold is all, no dialtone! Any help would be great! Thanks! Ron

SNOM IAX image
Hello. I've been going through the archives, but can't discern the state or future direction of IAX on the SNOM100. The most recent image appears to be from September 2002. There was a message on this list stating that SNOM was coming to visit Digium last April with the intention of adding IAX support themselves. For a while there was reference to the I100E on the asterisk and/or
