CentOS 4.4 on mini-itx
Hi, I have a EPIA mini-itx board that I have been running Fedora 4 on. I want to install CentOS 4.4 on it since FC4 is no longer supported. The install goes fine but when I reboot the machine after the install I get errors like the following: hda:<4>hda: dma_timer_Expiry : dma status == 0x21 There are other errors about not being able to access the disk and eventually the kernel panics.

Hardware compatibility IM-945GC Intel Atom Mini-ITX
Can this MB be used with Centos 4 (or 5)? For reference: http://www.logicsupply.com/products/ms_9832 I don't think we can use this new MB since the Realtek 8111C does not seem to be supported (well) http://forums.tweaktown.com/f69/8111c-nic-revision-ep45-27089/ -- -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- -

mini-ITX suggestions
Does anyone have recommendations for (or against) mini-ITX platforms to be used with Wildcard X100P and TDM400P cards? I am considering the use of systems using VIA EPIA CL and Epia M as small, quiet platforms on which to host Asterisk.

Sound Problem with * on VIA mini-itx M10K AC97' VT8235 chipset
I've got Asterisk up and running on a VIA mini-itx M10K with a TDM-400 card but I'm having a terrible time with the sound setup. I tried RH9 and Debian distributions, with 2.4.18, 20, 22, 24 and 26 kernels. I've used the VIA drivers, ALSA drivers, OSS drivers and Kernel drivers with varying results. I can setup the audio to work with a few different applications, 2 channels and 6

PXElinux & memdisk
I am trying to acheve pxe booting of a image of barts boot disk (www.nu2.nu). I have managed to get LTSP booting via pxelinux, so I know my dhcp/tftp servers are ok. However when I try to boot memdisk with either a stock suselinux boot image file (taken from SuSE 9.1) or my dos disk (created by dd if=/dev/fd0 of=/imagefile) I get output like MEMDISK 2.08 command line : BOOT_IMAGE=memdisk

OT: VIA Mini-ITX, Asterisk, and hardware
Hello everyone, Does anyone out there have actual experience with running * on a mini-itx board from VIA? They look good, but I have some reserves because of VIA's problems with PCI latency in recent years (audio dropouts, wierd things happening). I am looking at the EPIA CL-10000. For $270, I can get a CL-10000 (1ghz C3, dual ethernets, etc), 256mb RAM, and a nice small (12 x 2 x 11)

latest CVS on Mandrake 9.2 Mini ITX
All, wondering if you can help, I had a perfectly working Mandrake 9.2 box running on a via Mini ITX 5000/classic. Asterisk (zaptel and libpri) was built from CVS head around 22nd July 2005. I decided now was a good time to ghost it up....although humorous for you all suffice to say, I ended up with a partitionless box! Following the install script I had created I built an identical server to

Via EPIA Mini-ITX motherboard
Just to drag this thread on a bit further ... I've been looking into these little boxes, thinking I could use one as a firewall/gateway. My one requirement is that it would need to have two PCI slots (one can be low-profile), and although I've seen PCI riser cards that can give me two slots, they've been rare, and cases that are suitable (i.e have the space, and back panels are

Via EPIA Mini-ITX motherboard
i had such problems on my mini-ITX. when sharing irq's with video or sound card, network traffic during ogg playing (for example on nfs) or quick moving windows crashed the interface. ifconfig down/up resolved the problem. it has been solved for a while now (i couldn't reproduce this problem) i think. regards, OLivier Le Jeudi 12 D?cembre 2002 03:45, The Anarcat a ?crit : >

Diskless Sharedroot Cluster
Hi all! We have just released new updates for the yum channel of the open-sharedroot software for CentOS4 and CentOS5. With the open-sharedroot software package, you can build up a NFS or GFS based diskless sharedroot cluster with CentOS4 and CentOS5. It also contains a toolset to clone or backup entire diskless sharedroot clusters. Open Sharedroot homepage: http://open-sharedroot.org/

I was told to run the wsahdapp.exe file, but when I do it windows tells me : winsock api Instalation Error The DOS sockets TSR is not loaded and of course when I try to run netscape it tells me: Netscape was unable to create a network socket connection There may be insufficient system

memdisk and winPE diskless boot
Hi, I am working on the diskless booting over Infiniband networks. At the moment we have created and implemented architecture which allow diskless booting of Linux nodes on x86, x86_64 and Itanium platforms. The system works by booting first small custom made Linux kernel of the Infiniband adapter ROM. The kernel has enough of infiniband stack to setup TCP/IP networking over infiniband. Then it
