Well, then you are going to have to give us some "minor details" like:
a) Where are you trying to connect from (your original email neglected to
give us any clue)? Your firewall? A system behind your firewall. Your
mother in law''s computer across town?
b) Are any Shorewall messages being logged when you try to connect.
c) Can you "ping" the SMTP server''s IP address from whereever
you are
trying to connect from?
