Dreadful results from zttest with TE210P and Dell 2850?
Hi list!
I'm trying to setup a new * server with a TE210P in a Dell 2850 box. I'm
using zaptel version 1.2.5, the linux flavour I'm using is CentOS 4.
In a previous thread I read about the results I should expect from
zttest. On my home box (using the crappy Asus A7V600) I got really bad
results from zttest (just over 97.5) but I know that this motherboard just
sucks.
To my (huge) disappointment however the results from zttest are equally as
bad as from my home box?? (just over 97.5)
lspci -vb reveals that the c...

Zaptel and zttest
I am having trouble with zttest on a Tyan board, dual AMD Opteron's on
FC3. Tried different kernels, no IRQ sharing, everything looks in
order. My zaptel modules load fine, but if I run zttest, it just
hangs. Below is the strace output and you can see where it stops.
Anyone have any ideas?

ztdummy, zttest
Hello,
Today we setted up a server that needs to use MeetMe but doesn't have
any Zap hardware. So we need to use ztdummy (at least, this was our
idea).
Rarely: zttest is not working at all (100% bad, using zttest -v doesn't
give anything, etc.). Of course, after load ztdummy, there isn't any
background or anything.
It is the same kernel (Debian Etch default kernel, 2.6.18) than other
machine that is working. CPU is a HP, Pentium 4 (same than other

I am currently running kernel 2.4.31, on a IBM Xseries 306, with 3gh
CPU, HT is disabled, PCI latency was changed, i still cant get more then
99.975% in the zttest testings,
Thanks for any info.

kjournald and zttest results
Hello!
While performing some zttest's for some time today, I was also keeping an
eye of a top of the machine. While the zttest was running, I also had a
ssh-keygen and a dd creating a 5GB file on an EXT3 partition running. I
noticed that for the most part, I got a decent number of 100%'s, and a
bunch of 99.6%'s or h...

TDM400P zttest not working
Hi,
I have a TDM400P running with only one FXO port running on a VIA
EPIA MS10000 (1Ghz Via Eden). When I run zttest from Zaptel 1.2.1 it
hang and when I interrupt it with Ctrl-C that is the result: ?anyone
have some idea about why isn't working?

RAID affecting X100P performance...
I have a P3-800 with two IDE drives in a software RAID1 configuration.
Each drive is on a separate IDE channel. Now anytime there is HD
activity, I hear "beeps" and "cutting out" on a call using the X100P
card.
I ran the zttest program, and discovered HD activity would drop the
accuracy down to between 2% and 50%.
However I noticed if I disabled one drive in the RAID1 array, zttest
would always report 99.98% or higher. So one drive running works fine,
but as soon as I enable the second drive, all hell breaks loose. DMA...

Fax and Asterisk
Hi
I am trying to build reliable fax solution with asterisk, iaxmodem and
hylafax. I am attempting to do this on Compaq DL-360 with 2 pentium 3

installing
the newest zaptel and wanpipe-3.1.0 beta I did zttest and it didn't give me

Are zttest results relevant on a system with no telephony hardware?
Our asterisk system gains access to the PSTN through a voip provider.
We have no digium or other telephony hardware in our system. Do the
zttest results still matter to us? Our results were as follows:

Zap Clocking - Frame Slips - tdm400p wcfxo zttest cpu spikes spandsp
I've made some modifications to zttest in order to use
it as a frame clock accuracy tester / slip detector.
I'm not certain if that was it's original purpose, but it
seems that a lot of folks try to use it that way.
The result is something that I'm calling ztclock for now
to help avoid confusion.
I'm including the sourc...

MeetMe echo problems with more than two participants
Hi Asterisk Users,
we are using Asterisk 1.4.18.1 on debian 4.0 etch, pwlib 1.10 and openh323
1.18.
We are using MeetMe for conference calls and with two participants there is
no echo problems, but with more than two participants there is a lot of echo
that sometimes disappear for a short time and all function well.
Someone have some suggestions??
Do you ever used app_conference

troubleshooting hangups?
...a Panasonic DBS PBX via PRI.
Outbound calls from the PBX go out via PRI to Asterisk, then out to the Telco's PRI.
The sync LEDs on my PBX show that it is synced to Asterisk via the PRI.
I have users complaining about random hangups.
What is the best way toi approach finding the issue?
ref: zttest looks good.

Zaptel timer on Intel Dual Core servers
Friends,
I'm having severe problems with zaptel timers on Intel Dual Core
systems with SMP code enabled. Ztdummy, zaptel connected to Digium TDM
or PRI cards - all ends up with large timer probems - zttest going
down to 50% accuracy on some systems, even to -1 on ztdummy systems
and voice quality is no more. A restart is the only way to get back
to a working system.
We're only running a few meetme's with a total of 10 participants, so
the load is not excessive. Only SIP calls, nothi...

Stability and motherboard questions with TE406P and TE410P
...have modified the 2 and 1 timing source declarations to several different
configurations but am unsure what the proper way to configure that is. Is
my current setup correct? Both span one and span three have timing on the
line from the carrier.
Rundown of issues seen with these cards:
TE410P:
- zttest will never report 100% for me across different motherboards
(Supermicro P8SCT, Dell 850)
- Crash/instability of about once per two weeks where I have to power cycle
the server, i.e. phone calls stop working and a reboot fixes it
TE406P:
- zttest runs flawlessly on this card, 100% across the board...
