Weird internaldate behavior with 1.0-test80 and mbox folder
Has anyone else encountered weird date behavior with mbox-style folders? I am nearly ready to bite the bullet and convert my UW imap hierarchy (which is in mbx format) to Dovecot. In so doing, I need to convert each UW-specific mbx-format mailboxes to the more portable mbox format, which Dovecot can read. (This is done with the 'mbxcvt' utility that's part of UW.) I am then

My boss has noticed that its not really that zippy, there is a small delay between

find_by datetime question
Hi, I was wondering if any of you Rails/SQL ninjas knew of an elegant way to grab from activerecord all the rows that are within an interval of the current time (say in the last week). For instance, if there''s the created_on datetime column, is there a zippy way to use find() without SQL? It seems like the Ruby DateTime object doesn''t really do intervals for numerous

Strange problem connecting via NT
I am running Version 1.9.18p7 and I have a win95 machine and an NT machine connecting via ethernet. I have, for security reasons, reorganized my network to reduce outside threats. The network is set up using RFC1918 addressing, and I am using Linux 2.0.33 to transparent proxy outside requests to the net via a dialup PPP session with a dedicated IP address. The global section of my smb.conf

Giving folks access to Win2k
Hi all, As fate would have it I''m giving away my old desktop to a friend who has no computer. The upside is that means I have room to setup my old-old desktop, which happens to have Windows 2000 on it. It''s a dual Pentium-II 400 with 512mb of RAM. I installed the Ruby 1.8.6 one-click on it, and it already had VC++ 6 on it. Fairly zippy, actually. What I would like to do is

MDL ISIS Draw 2.5 + AutoNom2000 in WINE = need help
Hello, I have successfully installed MDL ISIS Draw 2.5 (a program used in chemistry) under Wine (0.9.12 in Debian). Now, I need to install an addon (AutoNom2000, which is used to give IUPAC names of compounds) for this program. (This addon requires Windows 2000/XP; Wine was configured to "mimic" Windows 98 by default). When I try to run its installer, I get the following:

Outlook 2010 woes
So after several days of more troubleshooting, I have some things to report to the list. First and foremost, I have discovered that the issue has nothing to do with SSL/TLS, which was my earlier suspicion because after doing some PCAPs I discovered that the transactions were negotiating TLS 1.2 on the new server, as opposed to 1.0 on the old. Also thank you for the rawlog suggestion: that

smbmount cannot browse large NT directories
This is a problem I get with various versions of Samba, up to and including 2.0.7. (The version shipped with Debian.) I have an NT machine (4.0, service-pack 3 using NTFS) exporting a filesystem to Linux through smbmount. Specific directories are not browsable. By that I mean that "ls *" comes up blank, however if you know the filename, "ls foo.txt" will still find the

prototype/script.aculo.us ecosystem
Recently errtheblog (http://errtheblog.com/) put up a nice post about jQuery. Putting aside all the assertions about cleaner code and fewer lines of code than with Prototype, the one thing that struck me from his (and others'') writing and from direct inspection is this: jQuery seems to have a more of an ecosystem surrounding it. That is, more plugins, widgets, locked-and-loaded

cert issues, puppet agent applying configs, problems oh my!
So I''m new to puppet and I''m having a bear of a time just getting a test server going. I installed puppet and the puppet client via yum on CentOS on AWS, so that saved me some time. I followed a few various blog posts about getting everything set up and applying a file, etc. Now I am trying to install a module (puppetlabs/apache) and it''s failing miserably for me. I

centos with qemu and kqemu
Any one using qemu with centos and bridged network mode? I am running qemu as: qemu-system-x86_64 -hda centos4.i386.img -boot c -net nic -net tap I am still getting a 10.X.X.X address instead of a DHCP address on my local network. Misbehavior with Dovecot and Mulberry
I'm having a bit of misbehavior wherein Dovecot seems to refuse to cooperate with my Mulberry MUA. By and large, everything works great. I can move mail back and forth happily. I can compose a note and copy the outgoing mail to my Dovecot "Sent" folder using my default Mulberry settings. But if I reply or forward a mail, I get a Mulberry error popup saying that it

Outlook 2010 woes
In case anyone is interested, we finally found the problem: The new (2.2) server had "auth_mechanisms" of "digest-md5" enabled along with "plain". This is what was causing the four-second delay, but only with Outlook clients. Everything is working great now across the board. Thanks again to everyone's suggestions. - bryan On 10/27/16 7:09 PM, Bryan
