small issue with over-zealous clean.
Noticed a problem for a while - tests/testit.Rd, tests/ver20.Rd are removed on "make clean" unintentionally.
This seems to come from a change in tests/Makefile.in, which adds the line:
- at rm -f *.tar.gz *.Rd back in May 2012.

[OT] Witty one liners or computer related proverbs
...some witty computer related proverbs or one liners that some of
have used in the past as footers for your emails for example.
I particularly remember a PERL based transliteration joke/footer that
when run in PERL produces a witty output....
This is to fix a problem internally created by an over zealous salesman
at my company pinning up A4 sheets with bullSh*t sales proverbs on them!!!

[LLVMdev] Machine Verifier question.
...from predecessor ***
- function: main
- basic block: bb2.i.preheader 0x1ba7680 (BB#5)
- instruction: %reg1032<def> = PHI %reg1280, <BB#3>, %reg1287, <BB#4>
- operand 1: %reg1280
The code seems to run ok though.
Is this something that's worth looking in to, or just over zealous reporting
by the machine verifier?
Cheers,
Lang.

Thanks for pointing this out and I hope llvm-ar is up to the task.
Even if targets must still port binutils, each step toward LLVM
self-reliance is a step in the right direction.

Using '__attribute__((section("name")))' for inline assembly injection

alpha-numeric characters, but I know that it is also very common for people
to use '_' and '.' in section names so alpha-numeric checking is probably a
bit over-zealous, but embedded newlines definitely should be considered
suspicious. Or perhaps there is an existing check in 'clang-tidy'?
The reason they were doing this in the first place, is that the 'naked'
attribute does not do what they want, which was to allow them to build

That sounds like a proper bug. Can you tell why %reg1280 is not live-out from BB#3?

completely unsafe it would seem to use Unix and windows to access the same

Is there some way I can do what I want? (i.e. tell samba not to allow the
Windows box to be so over-zealous about caching?)
Thanks

Problem installing R-devel dated 4 March 2016.
Thanks Peter. I tried running the uninstalled R; it worked. I checked
on the existence of FAQ, etc. --- yep everything was there. I don't
know about over-zealous virus checkers; I haven't overtly installed any
such.
So, mystified, I started all over again from scratch. This time it
worked; seamlessly.
Totally mysterious. Story of my life. Be that as it were, all systems
are go now, and my package checking was successful.
Sorry for the noise.

superior behavior in the face of something unexpected is to assume that the user

I recognize that "assume the user knows what they are doing" is an anathema
to the more zealous OO types, but in designing a class I have found that they
often know more than me!

How to retrieve attributes from HABTM?
We have tables Users and Communities linked by has_an_belongs_to_many.
The join table Communities_Users has additional fields [ is_active,
is_blocked, join_date] etc. These are populated using
@user.push_with_attributes(:is_active => true,...).
Later on how do we update or retrieve the attributes in the link table
for a given user or a community with doing it explicitly using SQL?
Thanks,

FWIW, the consensus on the open source legal counsel mailing lists i belong
to, when they saw it (IE on the public mailing lists), was basically that
it looked great and others want to use it.
Not a single person (and the list includes many zealous people of all

goals, or that it needed further clarifications.

I can''t seem to find a way to create a new ticket.
I''d like to create tickets for those two reproduced bugs:

Can anybody please do it for me or point me in the right direction ?
