W2KSP2 vs W2KSP2RP1 - failed logon to Samba 2.2.6
...nt for Microsoft Network and add it again, workstation can
connect to the domain, but users still can not logon to the domain.
After I install SP2RP1.rus, I can login to the domain.
Is this bug? In this mailing list people say, that can not logon or
join to the domain in samba 2.2.5 with W2KSP3 or XPSP1. After this bug
(may be it MS bug) was corrected, appears another bug?

W2k3 HVM domain QEMU drivers
So I successfully installed the GPLPV drivers in a Windows installation I
have running under Xen. Turns out SP2 is needed - I wish this was slightly
better documented somewhere, as the machine ended up bluescreening and I had
to use /NOGPLPV to get it to boot again so I could upgrade it to SP2.
My question is this: I ended up using ''disable'' in device manager for the

samba3Rc3_LDAP search failed: Insufficient access
I upgrade to samba3.0.0Rc3, I can get user from other domain faster, list
trust faster ;-) (But I still can't get idmap to my ldap)
But when I view my log some error ,or may be somthing wrong with my config
???
(I saw some one post this (BUG) in previous version, but I see at
bugzilla.samba.org this bug is "FIXED" )

SAMBA WIN XP Sp1
DON'T, I mean literally uninstall SP1 from your computer immediately. It's bugged very bad and causes many computers to crash. My XP completely crashed and couldn't EVEN BOOT. Thank god, my backups rescued me. Formatted it and reinstall everyting but SP1.
MS forums going crazy, just take a look at it, you'll understand better what I mean.
Serhan.

protocol question
I'm trying to understand odd behavior in my LAN. I'm running Samba
2.2.5 and trying to run it as a PDC.
I have 1-2 win98 clients, 1 XPSP1 client, and 1 Win2kSP3 client.
I've managed to add the XP and 2K machines to the domain successfully,
but
still haven't finished configuring logins to work correctly -- something
about my user not having permission to write to \\server\uname\profile
even though permissions on the various l...

Problem Uploading Printer Drivers from XP
I am having problems uploading printer drivers from my WinXP workstation. I
can use my Win2K workstation just fine, but when I try to use the exact same
user ID and access the exact same printer, the New Driver... button on the
XP printer dialog is disabled. The only thing I can think of is permissions
on the client side (since it is the same user ID being used). I tried
granting my user ID full
