oggfile, skeleton and vorbis tools
(w. quotes from the xiphmeet:
<http://westfish.xiph.org/~giles/200603_meeting.txt>, I've tried to
strip it down to relevant stuff)
<xiphmont> "Is there any interest in extending vcedit/libvorbisfile to
do basic handling of Vorbis streams from concurrently multiplexed Ogg?"
< xiphmont> Yes, but that work was *also* tied to OggFile from way back
when, and one reason I think OggFile should still happen.

Theora performance
Hi list,
I just came across this site:
http://web.mit.edu/xiphmont/Public/theora/demo.html
I was wondering are these issues being addressed or will be addressed before
the 1.0 release?
Theora is like the only open sourced free code people can use, i will be
nice if it performs close to other libs.
please keep up the good work!

RV: Info
Great, just looking to confirm that there is no "official" support site;
Has anyone one tried using digital rapids hardware(cards appliances) to feed
live video / audio to an icecast server?
Thanks for any feedback!
Regards,
Ben.

Updates to development?
Hi, again. Are there any updates to the development of Theora? Like a
version 1.2? I ask this because I want to be re-assured Theora is not just
sitting while people are choosing H.264...

I guess libogg should return -1 if you try to ogg_stream_packetout()
after the eos packet.

Tremor maintenance
hi,
could someone please apply these to Tremor svn?
0001-update_symbols.patch
there are 3 public symbols in the headers, which are missing in the
linker script and thus marked as private again. This causes issues for
e.g. gstreamer (https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=616194).
0002-pkgconfig.patch
this adds a pkg config file

ov_open_callbacks takes so much time to open 210 MB OGG file
Why ov_open_callbacks(fd_, &vf, NULL, 0, OV_CALLBACKS_NOCLOSE) takes so
long to open OGG file?
The OGG file has just 210 MB. It takes a lot of time open the file.
I am working on OGG audio recorder and player.
Thanks in advance!
With kind regards,

Tidy up of XiphWiki VorbisComment page
I have been tidying up the VorbisComment
page in the XiphWiki. The problem with it was
that it was a mixture of proposals and
discussion of those proposals. This made it
difficult for implementers to see what to
implement.
The problem section is:
http://wiki.xiph.org/index.php/VorbisComment#New_ENCODER_field_name_proposal
This is a mess, and all I could do was add
