Question about Outlook workarounds
Do the Outlook workarounds in Dovecot 1.x still apply to current versions of Outlook? Or has Microsoft fixed Outlook such that workarounds are no longer needed in Dovecot (and if so, after what version of Outlook can I remove the workaround settings in my dovecot.conf file)?

outlook express 6 imap client workaround
My outlook express users connecting with imap are having issues with client timeout. The wiki says to add oe6-fetch-no-newmail, but when I add that workaround I get this error in the logs: Jun 2 10:00:13 mail dovecot: IMAP(username): Unknown client workaround: oe6-fetch-no-newmail I'm using 1.0b7. Any ideas?

r-api-3 with R 3.5.2. on Stretch: is there a workaround?
Now that I am at least mapping the right repository to my Debian version (doh!) I have another question. In the installation page at https://cran.r-project.org/bin/linux/debian/#debian-stretch-stable there is the line: "Please note that R packages from the Debian stretch distribution are not compatible with R 3.5.x, as it provides r-api-3.5, while the stretch packages depend on

[PATCH 1/7] Revert "ACPI / OSI: Add OEM _OSI string to enable dGPU direct output"
is there any update on the testing with my patches? On the hardware I had access to those patches helped, but I can't know if it also helped on the hardware for which those workarounds where actually added. On Mon, Aug 19, 2019 at 11:52 AM Rafael J. [PATCH] MSVC2015U2 workaround, version 2
Here's a new version of a patch that fixes a problem with MSVC2105 update2, but it doesn't disable any optimization, so the resulting encoding performance should be almost unaffected by this workaround. MSVC compiles abs_residual_partition_sums[partition] = (FLAC__uint32)_mm_cvtsi128_si32(mm_sum); into this: movq QWORD PTR [rsi], xmm2 while it should be movd

Any workaround for ThinkPad memdisk?
Hi, I saw the Nov. 2006 message on Memdisk having a problem with ThinkPads. I also saw the comment in the memdisk code enabling and disabling A20. I've got a ThinkPad x61t that memdisk is not loading disk images on. The symptom is that it gets as far as saying "Loading boot sector... booting..." Then image partially runs - FreeDOS prints out its kernel message and it's

pdfs cause laserjet 4000s to hang - any workaround?
Before I start, I know this isn't a Samba-related issue but it seems to be a widespread enough problem that someone else may have figured out a Samba-oriented workaround, or any other solution for that matter. There seems to be a problem with certain models of HP Laserjet (including, but not limited, to the 4000 series and other models from the same era - it is apparently fixed in the 4100).

Wheezy Dovecot workarounds
Hi all, In switching from Ubuntu to Debian Wheezy (7.5 64bit, network install), I'm finding some surprises in getting Dovecot to work. PROBLEM: As installed, the package manager doesn't give you the dovecot executable. WORKAROUND: To install the dovecot executable, you need to follow these instructions: http://wiki2.dovecot.org/HowTo/DebianStable PROBLEM: Even when you install

[PATCH] RFC: ACPI / OSI: remove workarounds for hybrid graphics laptops
It's hard to figure out what systems are actually affected and right now I don't see a good way of removing those... But I'd like to see thos getting removed and drivers fixed instead (which happened at least for nouveau). And as mentioned before, I prefer people working on fixing issues instead of spending time to add firmware level workarounds which are hard to know to which

r-api-3 with R 3.5.2. on Stretch: is there a workaround?
Chris, yes, the workaround is to install from within R. The alternative would be to increase the coverage of this repo, as currently mainly the recommended packages are supported. Another alternative would be to create a new, richer repo... Kind regards, Johannes Am Montag, 21. Enable outlook-idle workaround.
I just recently discovered dovecot. I am evaluating the program and several clients uses Outlook/Outlook Express. In the clients issues section of dovecot.org is says "You should enable outlook-idle workaround" Ok, maybe I am missing something very obvious here but I can not find any documentation on how to implement the outlook-idle workaround. Can anyone point me to an article

Are there any workarounds for the low disk space while installing error?
Whenever I install something that requires a minimum disk space, it brings up an error saying Your c: drive has [blank] MB left, you need to free up space or something to the like. I've searched around, and I've seen no straight answers. Is there a workaround for this, or is installing windows programs with minimum disk space requirements off limits?
