I am very new at using both Ubuntu and Wine. I have manage to get both up and running. I am trying to install FreeAccounting in Wine. I am getting a failure to register Com ActiveX errors and also have getting some decompression errors. I have similar problem. However, I have noticed that without applying the sp3 on either NT4 workstation or Server. It seems to work fine. As soon as sp3 is applied the samba does not work. Error loggin in occurs. I remove tcpip support on nt and reinstalled, there was a conversion from winsock1.1 to winsock2.0. Hello, I setup samba2.2.2 with winbind. samba is a member of domain with security=domain. Now both work well. Since there is no user in /etc/passwd, and user information gets from PDC(a win2000 server). The question is: there is no /home/xxx directory too.(I don't want to make it manually).
