R-packages for Ubuntu 15.10 wily
Dear Dirk, I just upgraded to Ubuntu 15.10. It seems that the r-packages are not upgrading although deb files exist on the cran repository. For instance, r-cran-rjags is back to 3-15-1 On the repository, I saw that the 'Sources' and 'Packages' files in wily folder show vivid version of packages although dated to yesterday : https://cran.univ-paris1.fr/bin/linux/ubuntu/wily/Sources https://cran.univ-paris1.fr/bin/linux/ubuntu/wily/Packages Is there something missing in packages build ? Outdated r-base-core when installing on Ubuntu 14.04
I have a chromebook with a fresh minimal install of Ubuntu 14.04 running through crouton, and I'm trying to install the latest version of R. The only thing I have done to the system before trying to install R is install gedit. When I try to install R I get an unmet dependencies error that complains that the version of r-base-core available isn't new enough. I followed the instructions at

Outdated r-base-core when installing on Ubuntu 14.04
Thanks for the replies. Crouton does get in the way of installing arbitrary linux distros - in particular the only ubuntu distros that are fully supported are precise and trusty (12.04 and 14.04). Others have gotten vivid and wily to work with some effort. I found a reasonably detailed guide for vivid, so I'm currently installing it on the machine. We'll see how it goes. Once it's done installing, I'll recheck apt entries and try adding Michael's PPA & some different R mirriors in vivid (if I get it w...

PHP bindings fail on Ubuntu for xapian-bindings-1.2.21
...est > option is probably to start from the packages here: > > https://launchpad.net/~xapian-backports/+archive/ubuntu/ppa I didn't know they existed, but using them fixed my issue indeed, thanks! (I fooled them a little using the packages for vivid because the ppa doesn't have a wily branch, but that went through just fine, although I had to skip testing). Now I have the php5-xapian, I add "extension=xapian.so" to my /etc/php5/apache2/conf.d/20-xapian.ini, I see in phpinfo that that file is parsed, but that's it (no xapian module info). Need copy of Wiki Page on phpBB integration and signon
I am in Wiki hell thanks to the morons that are spamming the wili. I went to check on the articles for integrating with phpBB as I was going to code it today and it is gone. The back in time function doesn''t work either. Does anyone have a copy of the wiki from this page? HowtosDoSingleSignOnWithPHPbb -- Posted via http://www.ruby-forum.com/.

Fwd: [cfe-dev] Raising CMake minimum version to 3.4.3
...to CMake 3.4.3 at the end of May. Setting the date at the end of May gives bot maintainers and developers lots of time to update, and CMake 3.4.3 is the last CMake 3.4 release and it is widely available. Choosing to put CentOS in terms of itself ...
I've been reading back through the archives, really detailed, especially a select few people. And I promise, this is the last time I'm going to say this. I think CentOS stands great on itself, and you don't need to define many things is dislike of other distro. I know many of us (at least us Americans) like to put things in terms of "versus" as much as we can. And I am too

"INTx fd" busy error on VM startup at boot, subsequent startup okay
Hey all, I'm getting an error starting a libvirt managed qemu/kvm VM at physical host boot time, but manually starting it afterwards works fine. This is on a Ubuntu Wily i7-4790 box running Linux 4.2 and libvirt 1.2.16. There is a legacy (5V) PCI card being passed through to the VM, the error seems to relate to that. The error that always appears at boot in `/var/log/libvirt/qemu/test-vm.log` is: > 2016-01-11T05:29:28.487935Z qemu-system-x86_64: -device &g...
